Abstract

The 2024 General Election marks a significant turning point in Indonesia's political landscape, particularly with the rising participation of Generation Z as first-time voters. This generation is highly connected to social media, which serves as their primary source of political information. This study highlights the urgency of understanding how social media influences the political literacy of Gen Z, given their vulnerability to misinformation and digital propaganda. Theoretically, this research is grounded in the concept of political literacy, which encompasses the ability to comprehend political systems, think critically about information, and engage in political processes. A qualitative approach was employed using a literature review method to examine the impact of social media on Gen Z's political understanding and attitudes. The findings reveal that social media plays a significant role in shaping the political behavior and attitudes of young people, particularly through its fast-paced and interactive communication. Social media also serves as a platform for discussion and opinion formation, which can enhance political participation. However, challenges such as the spread of hoaxes and opinion polarization remain substantial obstacles. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen media literacy and political education so that Generation Z can become critical and rational voters. This study offers strategic recommendations for policymakers, educators, and society to positively leverage the potential of social media in supporting democratic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media in the formation of gender identity and sexual orientation, especially in the LGBT community in Indonesia, within the framework of postmodernism theory. This study examines how social media as a digital space allows individuals to express various versions of identity that are fluid, multiple, and contextual, while also presenting challenges in the form of social pressure, stigmatization, and psychosocial insecurity such as cyberbullying. Through a qualitative approach, this study describes the fragmentation of identity on social media that reflects the relativism of values in contemporary society. The results of the study indicate that although social media provides a space for support and validation for marginalized groups such as LGBT, there is an urgent need for social education and progressive policies to create an inclusive and safe digital environment. This study emphasizes the importance of balance between digital existence and real life in the process of positive and constructive identity formation.

Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of digital pedagogy in enhancing the professional development of teaching competences among fourth-semester students of the English Education Study Program at Mandalika University of Education. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 25 participants through a structured 20-item questionnaire assessing key aspects of teaching competence, including digital communication, instructional design, and technology integration. The results show that digital pedagogy supports the growth of teaching competences by offering flexibility, access to diverse resources, and opportunities for independent learning. A majority of students reported improved skills in designing teaching materials and utilizing digital platforms for educational communication. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited real-time interaction and technical issues like unstable internet connectivity. While 60% of students perceived digital pedagogy as effective, others expressed the need for stronger pedagogical support and infrastructure. The study concludes that digital pedagogy has substantial potential to contribute to the professional preparation of future educators, provided it is implemented with careful planning, adequate technical support, and interactive instructional strategies.

Abstract

There is a debate about which dimension is most decisive in party institutionalization. Party institutionalization can first be seen from the increase in votes as an early indication. In the case of the 2014 to 2019 elections in Indonesia, the party that has seen the largest increase in votes is the NasDem Party, indicating that the party is the most institutionalized. This paper aims to examine the institutionalization of the NasDem Party. The method used is qualitative, by analyzing the empirical case of the NasDem Party. The result is that there is a dilemma in the debate on the concept of party institutionalization, and the stability of the NasDem Party's vote is relatively influenced by the organizational dimension, especially the strength of membership. Although the coherence of members seems problematic, the strength of members has contributed to the benefit of party votes. The "Ability to Compromise" component is important to be proposed as a prerequisite for balancing between dimensions of party institutionalization.

This study used descriptive qualitative method. The indicators in this research are input, process, output and outcome. This research was conducted at the Rokan Hulu Regency transportation service. Collecting data obtained through interviews, observation, documentation. The author's technique for determining informants uses the snowball sampling method. The snowball sampling method is a technique for taking data sources, initially the number is small and then becomes larger, this is because the few data sources are not able to provide satisfactory data, so look for other informants to use as data sources. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the role of the Rokan Hulu Regency Transportation Service in monitoring illegal travel in Pasir Pengaraian City is still not effective and optimal because what happens in the field in the monitoring process is only monitoring actions in routine operations and raids, but these activities are still rare. done. The inhibiting factors or obstacles for the Rokan Hulu district transportation service are that they are still careless in terms of supervision, lack of certainty and schedule in carrying out supervision, limited budget, lack of level of public awareness, and still difficulty for transport drivers in processing permits..
