Abstract

The hospitality industry in big cities faces tight competition in providing excellent service. As a part that is intense in serving guests, the front office is required to display emotions according to the company's display rules, this process is called emotional labor. However, it is not always easy to do, especially when there are events that disturb the mood. Perceived organizational support (POS) as one of the source affective events can affect employees' affective state at work. Based on the problem, this study intends to determine the influence of POS on emotional labor among front offices of 4- and 5-star hotels in Semarang. A total of 60 subjects were collected through purposive sampling. Data was analysed through instrument tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis test using simple linear regression analysis. The study showed that POS negatively influence emotional labor, with a p-value <0.05 and a contribution of 13.8%. The regression equation Y=27.96 -0.263X. This finding indicates that high POS can reduce the burden of emotional labor and affect the quality of service delivery to guests.

Abstract

Teachers are an integral part of any curriculum development process. as a component of the organizing, planning and assessment process. By creating a successful curriculum, teachers assume full responsibility for the learning process that takes place in the classroom. Therefore, it is hoped that every educator understands the importance of monitoring education in the teaching and learning process to help improve the quality of education. This research aims to find out the role of supervision in the learning curriculum. Does it have a good impact on the quality of education at school? This research is library research, namely research that uses literature (libraries) in the form of books, notes and reports of previous research results. The results of the research show that curriculum supervision is seen as a planned and organized system consisting of elements that influence achievement. learning objectives that have been set. Curriculum monitoring requires current input, background, procedures and approaches as a system. Because component criteria are always influenced by time, money, and effort, they must be chosen carefully. Each of the identified elements must be connected to each other and work together to make educational curriculum oversight successful. The role of curriculum supervision is very important for educational progress, especially in the learning process.

Abstract

The development of Animation Videos in the Science Subject for 8th Grade at SMPN 20 Padang is motivated by the fact that teachers have not yet used appropriate learning media in the teaching process, students are passive and less participative in the learning process, resulting in low learning outcomes. This research aims to produce valid and practical animated video products that can be used in the learning process. The type of research used is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The development model used in this study is the 4D model. The 4D model consists of 4 stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The product validity test was validated by three validators, consisting of one content validator, namely the science subject teacher for Class VIII at SMPN 20 Padang, and two media validators, namely lecturers from the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology at Universitas Negeri Padang. The practicality test of the product was conducted with students of class VIII.4 at SMPN 20 Padang. The results of the development of this animation video were obtained through validity and practicality tests. The validity test by subject matter experts yielded an average score of 4.6 with the category "very valid," and media experts from validators 1 and 2 obtained an average score of 4.93 with the category "very valid." Meanwhile, the practicality test results yielded an average score of 4.49 with the category "very practical." Thus, it can be concluded that the developed animation video can be used as a learning medium for the Science subject in Grade VIII of Junior High School.

Abstract

The development of technology has inevitably caused a shift where now society has entered the era of the digital economy where both individuals and organizations use technology in carrying out their economic activities. Indonesia is seen as having great potential in the digital economy which then causes the government to make it a priority issue. This in turn will lead to a significant increase in the value of the digital economy which is estimated to reach US$ 330 billion by 2025. This study aims to analyze consumer protection in the digital economy era: a case study of Tiktok Shop. This study uses a normative approach that focuses on descriptive analysis and discussion of the digital economy phenomenon in Indonesia, especially Tiktok Shop. The results of this writing explain that the emergence of TikTok Shop is seen as having presented new challenges to the existing regulatory framework and law enforcement mechanisms, especially related to consumer protection. The closure of TikTok Shop was essentially due to TikTok Shop not having a trading license as an e-commerce platform according to regulations in Indonesia. Therefore, it is important for TikTok Shop to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations in Indonesia, especially regarding consumer protection. Self-regulation can effectively provide legal protection and customer trust in online purchases.

Abstract

In undergoing lectures, of course, it cannot be separated from academic demands, sometimes these demands make students have excessive pressure that disrupts their daily lives. With this, students make confiding as a form of solving their academic problems because when they tell stories they will feel similarities in feelings and situations. The purpose of this study is to analyze how student solidarity is formed due to problems such as academic pressure. The theory used by Emile Durkheim's Functionalism theory is in line with Emile Durkheim's Functionalism theory where when a person cannot carry out his daily activities, the social function in his life becomes dysfunctional. In addition, it discusses the relevance of the derivative concept of Emile Duekheim's Functionalism theory, namely Mechanical Solidarity where a person becomes a group because of feelings and situations of compatibility. The method used is qualitative method with data collection through interviews with active students and literature studies. The research shows that the solidarity that is grown in the academic world is problem solving such as academic pressure because it raises motivation such as learning and discussion together even, because of this solidarity, someone gets to know each other better.

Abstract

Curriculum 4.0 is a response to technological advancements in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, aiming to integrate technology into education to enhance student competencies. This integration involves the use of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, and blockchain, which are expected to make education more effective, efficient, and relevant. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to evaluate effective strategies for integrating technology in education. The results show that technology can support the development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. However, the implementation of Curriculum 4.0 faces challenges such as the digital divide and teacher readiness. Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the  P5 in learning PPKn insecondary schools, with a focus on the literature review related to Merdeka Curriculum. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of P5 in strengthening Pancasila values as well as the challenges faced in its implementation. The results show that P5 contributes positively in instilling Pancasila values, such as gotong royong, togetherness, and social justice. Project-based learning allows students to apply Pancasila values in daily life through social projects involving the community. However, the study also identified some challenges, such as teachers' lack of understanding of P5 and limited resources in some schools. In addition, another factor that affects the effectiveness of P5 is the limited time and facilities available. Therefore, it is recommended to improve training for teachers to implement P5 more effectively and provide adequate resources to support project-based learning. P5 has great potential in strengthening character education in Indonesia, but its implementation needs more support from various parties to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

In the globalized healthcare system, nurse anesthesiologists require strong English communication skills to ensure safe and effective patient care (Hidayat, 2020). This study investigates the motivational factors influencing students enrolled in the Advanced English for Nurse Anesthesiology course at ITEKES Bali. Using a mixed-method design, data were collected from 30 students through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal that both intrinsic factors (personal growth, confidence, and professional readiness) and extrinsic factors (career advancement, institutional expectations, and international opportunities) significantly influence students' motivation. Task-based learning, role-plays, and clinical simulations emerged as highly motivating instructional strategies. The study highlights the importance of aligning course design with students’ motivational drivers to optimize learning outcomes. The findings suggest that educators should emphasize practical, interactive activities that foster confidence while reducing language anxiety.
