Abstract

practicum manuals available so students only used practicum guides from textbooks. This causes ineffective practicum activities which have an impact on students' low science process skills. The aim of this research is to develop nature-based practicum instructions, and determine the characteristics and feasibility of practicum instructions, as well as determine student responses to the practicum instructions developed. The research method used is Research and Development or R&D with the 4D development model (define, design, develop, disseminate). Data collection techniques use observation sheets and questionnaires. The research results obtained an average value from the validation of the expert team, namely 87.69% with very feasible criteria. Validation results from practitioners obtained an average of 96% with very feasible criteria. The results of the student questionnaire responses obtained an average of 82.75% with very feasible criteria and the results of observations of science process skills obtained an average of above 75% for each aspect with very feasible criteria. It can be concluded that the nature-based practical instructions that have been developed still need to be carried out in the next stage and are very suitable for use in experiments.

Abstract

SMA Batik 1 Surakarta developed an adiwiyata program despite having limited green space. In a dense urban context with minimal open space, this school is able to prove that physical limitations do not hinder commitment to environmental education. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained from in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of teachers and students. The results showed that the school implemented various innovative, creative strategies, such as vertical gardens from recycled plastic bottles, utilization of used ablution water for the eco mapping program every Friday. These activities actively involve students in structuring the school environment and greening efforts, in line with the participatory and sustainable principles in Adiwiyata as well as strengthening the character values of Pancasila students. Environmental values are also integrated in subjects such as Biology and Sociology, and extended to the community through the distribution of plant seeds. School members as agents are able to produce and develop environmental education structures creatively and reflectively. The success of the Adiwiyata program is not determined by land area, but by the synergy between agents and structures that encourage the creation of an ecological and sustainable school culture. This research is an important reference for urban schools facing similar challenges.SMA Batik 1 Surakarta developed an adiwiyata program despite having limited green space. Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Modified Curriculum at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that lesson planning, implementation, evaluation, and the challenges encountered are integral components of the curriculum implementation process. In the planning phase, an initial needs assessment is conducted, followed by the development of a syllabus that includes setting learning objectives and preparing self-instructional modules. During the implementation phase, learning activities are carried out in three stages: introductory, core, and closing, with differentiated classes. In the evaluation phase, students receive support through enrichment programs, counseling, or assignments either individually or in groups. The requirement to develop self-instructional modules in a very short time places a significant burden on teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the historical and theological process of Gospel dissemination and the interaction between Christianity and local culture in Tanah Kisar. The research uses a historical method combined with social and theological approaches. Data were collected through literature review, archival research, and in-depth interviews with local traditional leaders, religious figures, and youth. The analysis involved source criticism and data interpretation, which were then compiled into a descriptive-analytical historiography. The findings reveal that the spread of the Gospel in Kisar occurred through five main historical periods, beginning with the Portuguese Catholic mission and evolving into the growth of the Protestant Church of Maluku under local leadership. The spread of Christianity was deeply influenced by colonial socio-political dynamics, often resulting in nominal Christian communities with limited spiritual transformation. The study also highlights that local culture, particularly the indigenous language, plays a vital role in evangelism. The church’s tendency to detach from local culture has hindered the process of inculturation. Therefore, revitalizing local culture through contextual approaches is seen as essential to strengthen the presence of an authentic Christian faith within the Kisar community.
