Abstract

This study explores the relationship between Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and the incidence of cervical cancer through a comparative analysis between Indonesia and Australia. The primary objective is to understand how healthcare coverage influences the reporting of cervical cancer cases in two countries with differing health system structures. The analysis indicates that higher UHC coverage tends to be associated with increased detection of cervical cancer cases, highlighting the critical role of screening systems and access to healthcare services. Furthermore, there are significant differences in healthcare structure and quality between the two countries, which impact the overall disease burden. This research underscores the importance of strengthening screening and vaccination programs, particularly in countries with limited UHC coverage. The findings are expected to contribute to the advancement of future research and serve as a foundation for the development of more inclusive and sustainable health policies.

Abstract

The BPJS Kesehatan data hack in 2021 shows important issues in the implementation of cybersecurity policies in Indonesia, especially regarding how effective coordination between institutions is. This study investigates how the response to the incident was affected by the lack of synchronization between the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), the Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, and the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo). This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. The results of this study found that the process of mitigating data leaks became more difficult due to fragmentation of tasks, overlapping authorities, and the absence of an integrated crisis response protocol, although each institution has specific tasks, the lack of coordination led to slow and inefficient responses. In addition, systemic vulnerabilities increased because sectoral policies were not in line with national strategies.

Abstract

This article explores the evolution of approaches in English language teaching, starting from traditional approaches, communicative approaches, and culminating in the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based approaches. Traditional approaches, which emphasize linguistic structures and forms, have proven insufficient in achieving the main goal of language education—enhancing students’ oral and written communication skills. As a response, the communicative approach emerged, focusing on meaningful language use in real contexts and centering learners as active participants in the learning process. Over time, the communicative approach has been enriched by the integration of AI, which offers personalization, interactivity, and efficiency through tools such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and automated evaluation systems. AI enables more adaptive learning, instant feedback, and a more authentic language learning experience. Nevertheless, integrating AI into language education also presents challenges, including technological accessibility gaps, the need for teacher training, and concerns regarding data ethics. This article concludes that a hybrid model combining communicative and AI-based approaches can create more effective and relevant English language instruction in the digital age, provided it is supported by inclusive educational policies and well-prepared human resources

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of welfare for people with disabilities, so special guidance and attention are needed to improve their welfare. Sentra Wyata Guna Bandung is one of the institutions that provides services for people with disabilities, especially in the field of training and skills development. In this case, Sentra Wyata Guna Bandung guides people with disabilities in performing vocational skills in Massage and Shiatsu to achieve independence. This research uses Robert Havighurst's theory related to social welfare development, which includes emotional independence, economic independence, intellectual independence, and social independence. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, describing vocational skills guidance for the independence of visually impaired individuals at Sentra Wyata Guna Bandung. The location of this research is in Bandung City, at Jl. Pajajaran No.50-52, Pasir Kaliki, Kec. Cicendo, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat 40171. The results of this research show that the vocational skills guidance in massage and shiatsu provided by Sentra Wyata Guna Bandung can be considered optimal, but the time allocated is still insufficient. Additionally, the Vocational Skills Guidance in Massage and Shiatsu has enabled visually impaired individuals to achieve emotional independence, economic independence, intellectual independence, and social independence. However, inadequate facilities, delayed responses from visually impaired individuals in improving their vocational skills in massage and shiatsu, and insufficient time are factors that hinder the guidance process.

Abstract

New opportunities and challenges in the health sector, especially nursing, in Belu Regency are the ability to speak English. This is influenced by the geographic location of Belu Regency which shares a land border with the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste and the planned construction of an international hospital in Belu Regency. These challenges and opportunities demand the ability to speak English for nursing, including the simple present tense. The simple present tense is the most commonly used tense in the English language. In healthcare, especially nursing, this tense is used for several purposes in line with the functions of the present tense, namely: 1) To describe events that are regular, routine, or habits that continue to occur daily. 2) To state general facts or absolute truths. 3) To express commands or instructions that must be followed. 4) To state fixed schedules or predetermined plans. 5) States a condition that may occur in the present or future.

Abstract

The three main risk factors causing traffic accidents are categorized into human factors, vehicle factors and environmental factors (Haddon, 1972). This study aims to analyze vehicle factors as the cause of fuel tanker car accidents at PTXYZ during the period 2022–2023 and their relationship to severity. The unit of analysis for this study was 33 investigation reports as secondary data. Univariate analysis was carried out on the description of vehicle factors including: car age, preventive maintenance, pre-trip inspection, braking system, tire condition, electricity, lighting/visibility, and modification, as well as multivariate analysis of ordinal logistic regression to determine the relationship between vehicle factors and vehicle severity (Category N–A), humans (fatal, serious injury, minor injury), and the environment (fuel spill). This study found that the dominant vehicle risk factors and severity were braking system failure (60%), accident severity without injury dominated (81.8%). Most incidents did not result in spills, but 6.1% were fatal. The results of the multivariate analysis indicate that although no vehicle factors are statistically significant at the 95% confidence level, factors such as braking system, steering, tires, engine, and visibility have high positive estimates indicating a tendency to increase crash severity. The findings highlight the need to focus on brake system inspection and maintenance, as well as improve training programs and telemetry monitoring. Recommendations include strengthening preventive maintenance, sharpening pre-trip inspection, and conducting further research with a larger sample to validate the results.

Abstract

Lake Sentani, one of the largest lakes in Papua, plays a vital role as a provider of life for the local community but is threatened by human activities. The eco-theology approach emphasizes the moral relationship between humans and nature as a divine mandate. The research method is qualitative and descriptive, with data collected through in-depth interviews with local stakeholders, authorities, and religious figures. Secondary data from previous research and relevant scientific publications are also used. The research findings indicate that maintaining the balance between humans, the lake, and its ecosystem is crucial for the sustainability of Lake Sentani. The local community holds a decisive view of the lake, considering it as “phuyakha phu reai wali” or the lake is my life. This perspective reflects a deep moral connection with the natural environment and their moral responsibility to care for it. Conservation efforts include biodiversity studies, increasing public awareness, and sustainable management. In conclusion, preserving Lake Sentani is not only an ecological issue but also has a strong spiritual dimension. The eco-theological approach highlights the moral responsibility of humans to care for nature as a divine trust. To maintain ecological balance and the well-being of the local community, conservation efforts involving local communities and relevant stakeholders are essential to ensure the lake's sustainability as a source of life.
