Elderly are at risk of having poor sleep quality due to chronic illness, emotional distress, anxiety, environment, malnutrition and low physical activities. Evidence showed religious therapy effectively improve mental health, reduce anxiety and depression. However, the use of ruqyah syar’iyyah for managing sleep disturbance has not been studied well, therefore this research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of ruqyah therapy on sleep quality of elderly people. This study used Quasi Experimental with one group Pre-test Post-test design approach. Elderly in the nursing homes were selected based on their Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score. Seventeen elderly with PSQI> 5, Muslim and followed all the study program were participated in this study analysis.  The intervention was done by reciting selected Surah in the Qur’an once a day for three nights. The post-test was held on the last day of data collection by measuring PSQI. The age of respondents range from 61-82 years old with the majority in the elderly age (60- to 74-year-old with 76,5%), most of the education level of the respondents were elementary school (64,7%). The PSQI mean score was 14,88 ± 2,09 (pre-test) vs 9.12 ± 1,6 (post-test) P-value<0.05. Ruqyah syar’iyyah improves the elderly quality of sleep by significantly reduces the PSQI score. Ruqyah therapy may help elderly managing psychological issues that interfere their sleep latency and sleep duration. However, the study does not differentiate the group base on the cause of poor sleep   quality. Therefore, it is suggested to study the effect of ruqyah therapy based on the cause of poor sleep quality of the elderly. Nurses and other heathcare providers are suggested to use Ruqyah therapy for intervening poor sleep quality among elderly

Abstract

The question of hedonism has become commonplace because the tendency to smell earthly pleasure, luxury, or what is identical to wasting money for interests that are not for primary needs is a form of foya-foya and has taken root in a long-lasting habit, more related to style outfits. The discussion about outfits has been in the Qur'an, one of which is in QS. Al-A'raf [7]:31, which refers to the word az-zinatu. The interpreters of the Qur’an have interpreted it in various ways, such as treasures, jewelry, and clothing. The majority of the interpreters mean something that covers the body. As for the word israf in this verse, it is a way of excessive prohibition that leads to wastefulness and being trapped in hedonism. By using the Tafsir Maqashidi method, this article builds on previous interpretations of the terms az-zinatu and al-israf in particular, revealing that the behavior of israf is not only aimed at the health aspects of the body in the context of eating and drinking alone but also as an excessive ban on dressing. This article will show an understanding that excessive outfits can have a negative impact, up to mubazir. The use of the maqashidi tafsir method in this article is not only because this method is the latest, but it can also be used to understand various sentences such as social verses, science, and others. The result of this article is about the outfit in QS. Al-A’raf [7]: 31 indicates that the word israf also refers to the outfit of human beings. In addition, this article also focuses on the social aspect of QS. Al-A’raf [7]: 31 covers social relations to all mankind on earth in dress. Thus, this verse confirms that humans are wise in deciding behavior in outfits, as the words az-zinatu and al-israf become the basis for determining attitudes in order to achieve hifdz daulah and hifdz nafs, so that the maqashidi in this verse can be widely felt in the lives of human audiences in this world.

SEM-PLS analysis is used to assess 55 items across six variables in this study. The analysis uses SmartPLS 3.0. This study shows that Generation Z's interest in Islamic Capital Market is not largely driven by religion or financial knowledge in Islam. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) variables may affect Generation Z's intention in sharia investing. Abstract

The modern Western civilization infused with the dominance of humanism and secularism has pushed religion away from being involved in scientific developments. The invested paradigm also devoted and flourished in conventional economics disciplines, and unfortunately, the concept is also attached to Islamic economics. One of the doctrines constructed is the cosmological doctrine, which declares that resources are limited and initiates the most fundamental economic problem, scarcity. This study aims to scrutinize the cosmological presupposition in economics by utilizing the Islamic worldview conceptualized by al-Attas. The method is a descriptive-philosophical examination with a thematic analysis approach. This research reveals that God plays an active role in all myriad layers of creation which necessitates His transcendental association with the cosmos. God has names and attributes that introduce his transcendent and immanent presence in the universe. Terms in the Qur'an such as rizq, ni'mah, minnah, ala', and al-fadhl semantically indicate God's transcendental abundant sustenance in the world. The theo-cosmological concept of the Islamic worldview revealed the reality of Islamic economics perceives that resources have an unlimited source of its transcendence.
