Abstract

Background: Cancer is one of the four main diseases in society which can attack all levels of society without exception and regardless of social status, age or gender. The number of breast cancer sufferers shows an increase every year. Secondary prevention is carried out through early detection of breast cancer, namely breast self-examination (BSE), which is a simple, cheap, non-invasive and harmless early detection program. In line with the above, Aisyiah in the health assembly program carries the Gerakan Aisyiyah sehat (GRASS). One of the GRASS programs is reproductive health which focuses on the BSE Movement for Aisyiyah cadres. The problem with partners is that Aisyiyah cadres spread across 14 districts/cities have never carried out education or training for new cadres related to SADARI, both increasing the knowledge and skills of cadres. For this reason, it is necessary to help partners, in this case the Aisyiyah Regional Leadership, to carry out SADARI campaigns and training to increase the knowledge and skills of cadres. Objective: This activity aims to increase cadres' knowledge and skills in BSE examinations. The focus of the service is conducting training on BSE for cadres in 14 districts/cities in West Kalimantan. Method: the activity is to carry out a BSE campaign and BSE training for Aisyiyah cadres in 14 regencies/cities in West Kalimantan province. Results: From the activity evaluation, the results showed that the average knowledge score was 84.46 and the average skills score in the BSE examination was 82.97. Conclusion: SADARI campaigns and training increase the knowledge and skills of Aisyiyah cadres.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to socialize the concept of responsible tourism to Generation Z travelers in support of sustainable tourism. The method employed involves inviting 20 Vocational School of Tourism students to participate in a city tour using Bandros HPI in Bandung and delivering the concept interactively and enjoyably. Understanding that acting as responsible tourists is the most practical and easily understood approach for Generation Z, serving as the operationalization of sustainable tourism concept, the results of this activity indicate an increased awareness among the Vocational School of Tourism students regarding the importance of behaving as responsible tourists. Therefore, it can be concluded that socialization activities like this should be conducted more widely among Generation Z to enhance awareness of responsible tourism as the embodiment of sustainable tourism

Abstract

Community service is one form of implementing knowledge and technology to directly benefit society. This study aims to describe the role of the community service program (KKN) group 5 in implementing the KKN program in the cikawungading area, cipatujah district, with a focus on optimizing the role of mosques and religious schools in community development. The research methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that through the KKN program, group 5 was able to actively contribute to enhancing the role of mosques and religious schools as educational centers and social activity centers in the community. Activities included religious counseling, character building, waste management, as well as skills development and creative economic activities. Thus, community service through KKN can be an effective means of building local potential and enhancing the holistic well-being of the community.

Abstract

The development of closed-system farming presents promising solution enhance agricultural productivity, animal welfare, and food security in rural areas. This study aims to analyze the challenges, potentials, and strategies for developing closed-system farming in the Sangeh Region, Badung Regency, Bali. The research method involved conducting in-depth interviews with farm owners, managers, and farmers in one of the closed-system farms in the region. The interview results indicate that closed-system farming faces challenges such as resource availability, limited infrastructure, and inadequate understanding of technology. However, closed-system farming also holds significant potential for improving resource efficiency, product quality, and agricultural sustainability. Based on these findings, it is recommended that local government, agricultural industries, research institutions, and local communities collaborate to provide the necessary financial, technical, and educational support to develop closed-system farming in the region. Thus, the implementation of closed-system farming in Badung Regency enhance farmer welfare, food security, and environmental protection.

Abstract

This service project is titled "Enhancing Product Sales through the Implementation of an E-Commerce-Based Marketing System." The partner IbM faces several challenges, including (1) the absence of an e-commerce system for marketing products and (2) difficulties for customers in purchasing products. The objectives of this program are (1) to implement an e-commerce system to introduce products and reach a broader market, thereby increasing sales, and (2) to assist customers in making transactions more easily. The service program is conducted in two forms: First, the design of an e-commerce system to improve customer communication that is not limited by geographical factors, allowing direct targeting of the desired market share without intermediaries. Second, the creation of an e-commerce system to boost partner sales and simplify sales transactions. The implementation of this program is designed in four stages: (1) Coordination and preparation phase, (2) Design phase, (3) Application of science and technology phase, and (4) Evaluation and refinement phase.

Abstract

School is a place for children to get formal education. In addition to a place of learning, schools are also a place that can be a threat to disease transmission. Deaths due to diarrhea are up to 65%, and other diseases are 26%. clean and healthy living behavior is an effort to provide learning experiences or create a condition for individuals, families, groups, and communities by providing communication channels, delivering information, and conducting education to improve knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. This community service aimed to provide knowledge and understanding of clean and healthy living behavior to elementary school children so that they can practice it in their daily lives. This community service was conducted by providing counseling using lecture methods, question-and-answer discussions, and simulation using LCD media and props. The activity ran well, and all participants were enthusiastic about this service activity.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide assistance to the School Literacy Team to face several challenges, including providing adequate reading materials and resources for students, low interest in reading, and lack of community involvement. The method of implementing community service activities includes mentoring activities, including discussion, training, direct practice and evaluation. The results of the mentoring activities were very effective in motivating TLS LEKSAM BEDAS to complete literacy challenges and improve their reading and writing literacy. This is proven by 1) It has increased the motivation of teachers and students in carrying out School Literacy Movement activities. Apart from that, the increase in participants' knowledge can be seen from the students' activeness in participating in the program from start to finish. 2) Increasing students' knowledge and skills because it is supported by the use of digital book reading sources

Abstract

Stunting is when a child fails to reach a height suitable for his age. The main cause is poor nutrition in pregnant mothers, babies, and infants. Stunting is one form of malnutrition, but it's more accurately described as malnourishment. The use of caterpillars in the processing of MPASI and Supplements is one of the stunting prevention strategies. The purpose of this activity is to provide education about the fall of stunting. The method of implementation of this community service activity is through sliding. The samples used in this survey of stunting mothers and nutrition mothers were less than 25 people with children aged 6-60 months. The results of this examination showed that there was an increase in knowledge, attitude about stunting prevention with an abon belut with an average pre-test knowledge score of 76% and post-test 96%. This showed an improvement in knowledge and attitude of the young mother to be about 20%

Abstract

Bullying is any form of violence carried out intentionally by one person or group of people who are more powerful or powerful against others, with the aim of hurting and carried out continuously. Bullying cases often occur in the school environment including in the elementary school environment, where this bullying case must have a bad impact on children's mental health. The purpose of counseling at SD Negeri Citali Pamulihan District is so that students can understand the meaning of what is meant by bullying, types of bullying, know the causes of bullying, know the effect of bullying on mental health, can know the basic laws of bullying in children and of course they know about how to prevent and deal with bullying. This community service will be carried out in October 2023, with the focus of its activities being to provide knowledge to female students. Students do a pretest before being given counseling material which is carried out offline, then after being given counseling material students are given again post-test questions with the aim of providing an overview of children's knowledge about bullying. With the hope that after this counseling activity, students of SD Negeri Citali can increase their knowledge about bullying and its impact on their mental health

Abstract

This activity is an effort to improve the quality of village government services and efficiency in the management of government administration at the village level. Poka Village, located in Teluk Ambon Subdistrict, Ambon City, is one of the locations focused on in this activity. Various aspects of village government administration are analyzed and improved to ensure that the village can provide better services to its residents. This involves updates in population data management, financial administration, village development planning, as well as improvements in the implementation of information technology to support transparency and accessibility of village government information. Additionally, this activity also includes efforts to empower the village community in terms of participation in village decision-making, enhancing understanding of village governance, and involving residents in village development programs. The aim is to build a more inclusive, participatory, and democratic community in Poka Village. This Community Service aims not only to improve the quality of village government administration but also to have a positive impact on the daily lives of village residents. In this way, this activity contributes to improving the welfare of the village community, advancing local development, and creating a more empowered community that is aware of its rights and obligations in village governance.
