Abstract

The Real Work Lecture Programme at DTA Al Risalah Pangandaran uses the Nadzom technique to teach Arabic language acquisition. Studies have focused on humans since they are distinct and varied social animals in many domains, including language. Arabic, a multilingual tongue, is essential to Muslims for religious and communicational purposes. Arabic language education is crucial for giving kids a strong foundation, especially in their early years. The Nadzom method—which includes activities including material preparation, song selection, Arabic language instruction, voice training, group exercises, discussion sessions, and performances—is used to approach this learning. Children will be able to comprehend and use Arabic in their daily lives thanks to this learning technique.

Abstract

To address security issues at PKBM Wiyata Utama, the Mercu Buana University (UMB) community service team proposes replacing conventional lockers with smart lockers that use electromagnetic automatic lock technology and special codes. These smart lockers are connected to a microprocessor that controls access to the cupboard doors, allowing only authorized users to open them. The proposed solution aims to provide a safer and more reliable way to address locker security problems and will be shared through mass media and community service journals to raise awareness about the benefits of adopting Smart Cupboards. This initiative has the potential to improve the value system, promote the application of science and technology, and contribute to increasing security and tranquility while educating about positive values for collective progress.

Abstract

Democracy is an indicator of the implementation of the highest legitimate state power by the people (popular sovereignty), which is manifested by their involvement in the democratic party (election). The higher the level of political participation, the more likely it is that the people will follow, understand, and involve themselves in state activities. On the other hand, a low level of political participation generally indicates that the people have little appreciation or interest in state issues or activities. New voters are citizens who are exercising their right to vote for the first time in general election activities. They can come from Indonesian citizens (WNI) who are 17 years old or not yet 17 years old but have already been married. Young voters in the general election are a new generation of voters who have different traits and characteristics, backgrounds, experiences, and challenges from voters in the previous generation. Most of them are students, have good economic status, and generally live in urban areas or surrounding areas. This research focuses on Indonesian migrant workers in Penang, Malaysia, regarding the upcoming 2024 elections. The purpose of this paper is to determine the forms of political participation of novice voters in elections, the factors supporting the political participation of novice voters in elections, and the factors inhibiting the political participation of novice voters in elections.

Abstract

Earth's surface temperature continues to rise due to the emission of gases that have a very high GWP (Global Warming Potential). One gas that has a very high GWP is R410A refrigerant, which is 2088. This refrigerant is still widely used in split air conditioners (A/Cs). Therefore, the use of R410A must be immediately reduced and replaced with a more environmentally friendly refrigerant, R290, which only has a GWP value of 3. One of the initial efforts to socialize the use of R290 as a substitute for R410A in split A/Cs was to provide socialization in theory and practice to instructors at the Karawang Regency Vocational Training Centre. A good understanding of environmentally friendly refrigerants by the instructors is expected to be transmitted to the job seekers who are trained and will later be in the business of installing and servicing split A/Cs. Based on direct interviews with the instructors who participated in this socialization and technical guidance, they felt enlightened and motivated to help the government program to reduce emissions of gases that cause global warming. The replacement of R410A refrigerant in split air conditioners with R290 reduced the total global warming impact, i.e. the TEWI (Total Equivalent Warming Impact) value decreased by 31.91%.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in early childhood are very vulnerable to children's health development. In general, a person's nutrition is determined by behavior and habits carried out since childhood. If the knowledge and education provided is appropriate, then nutritional problems which are currently becoming urgent problems, such as stunting, wasting and underweight can be prevented and addressed properly. Nutritional status is an illustration of the adequacy of the body's metabolic system's needs in carrying out its functions. There are two possible causes of nutritional problems that occur in children, namely lack and excess nutrition. Early childhood is an easy time to implement and teach about good nutrition and can be implemented well because this is something they forget to monitor. The aim of this education is that students understand good nutrition and are able to implement the importance of balanced nutrition. The way to socialize this educational activity can be done through lectures, questions and answers, simulations, and watching videos at school. An interactive and informative approach is very important to make participants actively involved in the learning process. The number of participants who took part in this activity was 28 students, both male and female. The results of this educational activity were measured by assessing the participants' knowledge before and after the education. The previous score was only 58 and after the education it increased to 88, where there was an increase in knowledge of 30 points after the activity. with this social action activity to reduce the prevalence of stunting which is detrimental to children's future because balanced nutrition plays an important role in the growth and development, health and welfare of children in the future. Teachers and people are expected to monitor the food consumed by students and their children so that children are healthy and develop according to their age and become good successors of the nation.

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a condition that affects the development of a child's brain, leading to issues in verbal and nonverbal communication. Children with ASD often exhibit distinctive symptoms related to sleep problems. The cause of these sleep issues in children with ASD is linked to differences in the heritability of melatonin biosynthesis, which is lower compared to serotonin, with a prevalence rate of about 50-80%. The impact of sleep problems in children includes cognitive and behavioral disorders such as increased activity, inability to control emotions, learning difficulties, aggression, and more. These conditions pose challenges for parents and teachers at school, necessitating educational activities for both parents and teachers to improve sleep quality management in children with ASD. This activity aims to provide parents with understanding and insight into identifying sleep problems and efforts to enhance the quality of sleep in children with ASD. The method employed involves educational activities in the form of lectures and discussions with parents of students with ASD at special schools in the Cimahi City area. This activity uses an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional study approach. The results show that parents from 5 SLBs participated in the education, with N=126 parents attending. Among them, 52 children with ASD were identified, and 36 of these 52 children had sleep problems. Most parents practiced sleep hygiene, and a few used pharmacological methods to improve sleep quality.

Abstract

Human resources is one of the factors that play an essential role in the field of tourism, so the quality of education and training is needed to improve the quality of human resources in the tourism industry, which is the leading actor or tourism product. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of human resources in Samin Traditional Village, to find out the function of education in empowering tourism human resources, and to find out the knowledge of local people about the history of Samin Traditional Village. The method used to write the article in this research is descriptive-qualitative by applying data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The research results show that human resources in Samin Village still need to be higher because there is no self-awareness in the surrounding community. However, they still understand the culture and history of the Samin Tribe. This is evidenced by the need for more development of tourism awareness groups in Samin Village because the average youth migrates to the city. On the positive side, elementary school students already understand the customs and culture in Samin Village, as evidenced by their ability to talk about the village or village they live in in the 'Little Tourist Guide' program.
