Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (JPPPAUD) is a scientific journal published by Early Childhood Teacher Education Departement (PGPAUD), Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA). This journal publishes the latest articles in the fields of Early Childhood Education. The journal invites all lecturers, scientists, teachers, practitioners, and everyone to publish the articles related to any kind of research, literature review, and book review. It was first published in 2014 and regularly published twice a year on May and November.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) is important to instill from an early age and must be supported by all parties. Clean and healthy living habits will support early childhood to grow and develop optimally. School has an important role in shaping these behaviors. This study aims to find out an overview of the implementation of PHBS, the methods used, and the impact of the implementation of PHBS in TK ‘Aisyiyah 4 Tebet, South Jakarta. The method used is a qualitative research by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The researcher as the main instrument in research used observation, interview, agnd documentation guidelines. Data analysis was carried out through three data reduction channels, data presentation and conclusion drawing. As for the validity of the data, triangulation of various sources is used. The results showed that: 1) The implementation of PHBS in TK ‘Aisyiyah 4 Tebet was carried out through health education, health services, and fostering a healthy environment; 2) The methods used in the implementation of PHBS are counseling, examination, movement and song, demonstration, direct practice, habituation, and exemplary; 3) The impact of implementing PHBS can be seen from the increased awareness of students to behave cleanly and healthy, such as throwing trash in their place, raising clean clothes, styling hair neatly, consuming healthy food, washing hands before eating, using lavatory to urinate and defecate, and brushing teeth diligently; and the school received an award as 1st Winner of Healthy School in DKI Jakarta in 2017, and 4th best National Healthy School in 2018, the national pilot of all Aisyiyah kindergarten, and the apprentice of headmasters and teachers of PAUD ‘Aisyiyah pilot area at the regional level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of educational programs in early childhood in Golden Boy daycare and the implementation of care programs for early childhood. Data collection using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data uses source triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) The Golden Boy daycare day care system is full day and half day. The age of foster children in the Golden Boy daycare is 1 to 6 years old. The education program in the Golden Boy daycare uses stimulation education. By designing activities once a year with a working agenda and in a week making RPPM and RPPH. (2) Caregiving at the Golden Boy daycare applies life skills. The care process that is in the Golden Boy daycare is where children are taught independently from an early age where children can do their own daily activities which, of course, with the guidance of caregivers.

Abstract

The gross motoric skill is an ability to use large muscles of arms and legs which are largely needed the coordination of all parts of the child’s body. The every child should have some types of the gross motoric skill which are very useful for his/her further development and growth. The types of movement are three: non locomotoric movements, loco-motoric movements, and manipulative movements. The outdoor game tools can be the learning media to enable the child development and learning simultaneously and comprehensively, especially physical motoric development and learning. In line with this thought, this research has been conducted. This research was aimed to know the effect of the utilities of the outdoor game tools toward the children’s gross motoric skills of 4-5 years old. This research was conducted in 12 Early Childhood Education Schools located in Serang Village, Serang Municipality, Banten Province. As for the research method of researcher is quantitative research with survey. The population of the research involved are some 215 children and 68 children as its sample. The research instrument used in this study are three: questionnaires, interview guide and documentation. The quantitative data analysis was using Microsoft Excel.The research finding shows that the average result of the children gross motoric skill is 21.12 indicating significant effect (21,12 e” 1,658), which means that the utilities of the outdoor game tools towards the gross motoric ability of the 4-5 years old children in 12 Early Childhood Education School in Serang Village are very useful to develop further all aspect of the children physical motoric, particularly their gross motoric skills.

Abstract

Character education has a higher meaning of moral education because it is not only teaching what is right and what is wrong but also helping children feel the good values, has willingness and ability to do so. The establishment of children’s personal character (character buildings) should start from the family as the children’s first interaction occurs within the family. Character education should be implemented since early childhood because it determines the children’s ability to develop their potentials. Character education in early childhood can lead children to be mature in processing their emotions. Emotional intelligence is an important provision in preparing early childhood to face future challenges, both in academic life and their life as citizen.

Abstract

Cognitive development is a change that occurs in thinking, intelligence and children’s language to provide reasons so that children can remember, strategize creatively, think how to be able to solve problems and be able to connect sentences into meaningfull talks. This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type make a match on the cognitive development of children aged 4-5 years. The study was conducted in group A at TKIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon- Banten. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental research with a village nonequivalent control group design with a sample of 42 children. The results showed that the average cognitive ability of the experimental class children at pretest was 46.09 while the posttest was 48.52, an increase of 2.43% and for the control class pretest was 48.23 while at posttest was 48.66 then an increase of 0.43% could be concluded that there was a significant effect of the use of the cooperative learning model make a match type on the cognitive development of children aged 4-5 years.

Abstract

Social skills are the ability of children to achieve social maturity in accordance with social demands including the ability with social peers, the ability of themselves, ability for the academic success, ability of children’s to meet the demands of others and social skills. Social skills are very important because humans are social beings who cannot live alone but need others in their lives. The aimsof this research was to determine the effect of playing a drum band musical instrument on social availability of children aged 5-6 years. This research was carried out in kindergartens in Serang Banten sub-district which carried out extracurricular playing drum bands. The method used in this study is quantitative with a survey method with 83 students as a sample. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. Quantitative data analysis using Microsoft Excel. The results showed that the average child social skills, was 17.38, showed a significant influence (17.38> 1.658), meaning that there was an influence of playing the drum band musical instrument on the social skills of children aged 5-6 years. Thus, playing a drum band is useful for developing all aspects of child development, one of which is social skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve social skills through role playing in group B in PAUD Telkom Singaraja. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in 1 action cycle with 5 meetings. The subjects of this study were children of B2 PAUD Telkom Singaraja group in the academic year 2017/2018, as many as 29 students. Data collection to find out the improvement of social skills through role playing activities in this study was carried out using role playing activities with the theme of the profession. Furthermore, the data was analyzed with descriptive-qualitative and quantitative-descriptive techniques. The results of the study can be seen from the development observations in each cycle, namely the condition of BSB Pre-Actions amounting to 2 children (6.89%) and still less than the specified success indicators. The results of the research action of BSB meeting 5 Cycle number were 27 children (93.1%) already in very good criteria based on predetermined success indicators. thus role playing can improve social skills in PAUD Telkom Singaraja.

Abstract

Every year the average number of PAUD institutions in Bali increases by one hundreds. This increase in quantity should be directly proportional to the improvement in quality. However, based on the evaluation results of the BAN PAUD PNF accreditation agency in Bali Province, in standard 6 regarding the management of institutions it often has the lowest value than other standards so that development activities are needed for the managerial / managerial skills of PAUD institutions. Based on the results of interviews with several heads of PAUD institutions in Nusa Penida Subdistrict, it is known that in this sub-district managerial training has never been held. Then the purpose of implementing community service is to improve the managerial ability of the head of PAUD in managing PAUD institutions in Nusa Penida sub-district through training and mentoring. This activity was attended by 22 heads of PAUD institutions with a pattern of seminars and training and mentoring for three days. This activity produced program development documents and PAUD agency program report documents and significantly increased the knowledge of activity participants towards the management of the institution.

Abstract

Every child is born into the world in a fitrah state and has potential to be developed. Children need an early education in the development of religious and moral values to get used to doing their religious worship properly and properly. Habituation of prayer services in early childhood that are routinely performed daily at KB TPA Permata Ruby. The purpose of this research is to know the process of performing the habituation of prayer services, obstacles and solutions. The research method used is by qualitative research approach with descriptive research type or design. The data is analyzed through the data reduction stage, data presentation and draw conclusions. The results showed students perform the habituation of prayer services guided and directed by the accompanying teacher. The obstacles that occur in the implementation of prayer, namely children lack focus and prayer movements are not appropriate, so teachers must help the students.

Abstract

Kemampuan kognitif merupakan proses berfikir otak dalam menerima dan mengolah informasi yang diterima sehingga kognitif menjadi salah satu aspek perkembangan yang sangat penting bagi anak untuk membantu memecahkan suatu masalah. Penelitian ini bertujhuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan alat permainan edukatif ular tangga terhadap kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA AT-Thauhiriyah Kota Serang – Banten. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent control group desaign dengan sampel 24 anak. kelompok B1 dengan sampel 12 anak sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelompok B2 dengan anak sampel 12 anak sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini beruoa pedoman observasi dengan analisis data menggunakan program SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan kognitif anak kelas kontrol saat pre-test sebesar 0.070 sedangkan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0.055 dan rata-rata kemampuan kognitif anak pada kelas kontrol meningkat pada saat post-test sebesar 0.212% dan rata-rata kemampuan kognitif pada kelas eksperimen meningkat pada saat post-test  sebesar 0.165%. hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan alat permainan edukatif ular tangga terhadap kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun dan pengaruhnya sebesar 0.165%. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat permainan edukatif ular tangga dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA AT-Thauhiriyah Kota Serang-Banten.
