Abstract

The purpose of the research to conduct a external criterion related validity of Health Sciences Component of Indonesian Interest Test. Attitude toward Subject scale as an external criterion with a good psychometric properties. The subjects consisted of new students faculty of medicine and health sciences The University of Jambi N=461. There was a positive relationship with Biology рxy= 0.173 (p=0.001;p<0.05) and Chemistery рxy= 0.148 (p=0.001;p<0.05). There was a negative correlation with Economics рxy= -0.112 (p=0.016; p<0.05), Sociology рxy=-0.161 (p=0.001; p<0.05), Geography рxy=-0.171 (p=0.001; p<0.05). There was no correlation with Religion, Civics, Indonesian, English, Mathematics, Physics and History. IIT was supported with criterion related validity, it had a high power to diagnosis student interest. It could be used for high school majoring, university majoring and learning material. The next research to conduct group validity with university program and personality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perceived organizational support dengan employee engagement pada karyawan. Hipotesis  yang diajukan adalah ada hubungan positif antara perceived organizational support dengan employee engagement pada karyawan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 orang yang memiliki karakteristik minimal masa kerja lebih dari 1 tahun. Cara pengambilan subjek dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian ini menggunakan Skala Perceived Organizational Support dan Skala Employee Engagement. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment dari Karl Pearson. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh koefisien korelasi (R) hipotesis sebesar 0,612 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara perceived organizational support dengan employee engagement. Diterimanya hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,375 variabel perceived organizational support menunjukkan kontribusi 37,5% terhadap employee engagement dan sisanya 62,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yaitu job characteristic, reward & recognition, perceived supervisor support, dan distributive & procedural justice.

Abstract

The landslide disaster in Jemblung, Sampang, Karangkobar, Banjarnegara, Central Java, caused massive losses, 95 dead and 13 others missing, many wounded and loss of agricultural land and property rights and infrastructure damage. Initial assessment showed that after 9 months of the disaster, most of the survivors who participated in the study still showed symptoms of PTSD and a low level of resilience. Based on these data, this research is aimed to decrease PTSD and increase resilience among disaster survivors through psychosocial intervention. The study design is action research, involving 25 survivors. Data obtained through PTSD scale and resilience scale, analyzed by Wilcoxon-sign test statistic. Interview and observation data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed a significant decrease in the symptoms of PTSD Z = -1,994 (p = 0.046; p <0.05), but no significant increase found in resilience score Z = -0.890, (p = 0.373; p> 0.05 ). the results of qualitative analysis showed the survivors started showing the spirit to restart the routine of making a living by producing snacks but some of the survivors had not been involved because they were still afraid to face the risks of changing jobs from farmers, so they still need further assistance

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between ikhlas and social support to the meaningfulness of life in people living with HIV. Subjects in this study amounted to 75 people living with HIV (People With HIV / AIDS). Data analysis used is multiple regression test and different test. Meaningfulness of life measured using the scale used by Febriyanti (2011) is based on the theory put forward by Bastaman (2007), ikhlas is measured using a scale from Chizanah and Hadjam (2013), and social support using a multidimensional scale of perceived social support from Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet, and Farley, 1988 adapted by researchers. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between ikhlas and social support to the meaningfulness of life in people living with HIV.

Abstract

Everyone will face problems in his life. Problems that are less able to be overcome properly often cause of stress. Stress is the body's response that is not specific to any demands or burdens on it so that not a few individuals who take the path are not good to overcome them. Conversely, not everyone who is experiencing stress overcomes it in a way that is not good. someone who is healthy in his faith and soul, physically and spiritually they are always excellent and healthy. Their closeness and submission to God makes them able to control stress well. One of the positive media that can be taken by a person in dealing with stress is the midnight prayer (Tahajjud Prayer). Tahajjud prayer provides many benefits, one of which can relieve stress for someone who is experiencing it. This study aim is to provide an overview of the Tahajjud prayer as stress management. Data collection methods in this study use interviews and observations. The informants in this study were two executive employees of the Prayers at the Sahid University of Surakarta. The results of the study show that the tahajjud prayers done by the informants are able to provide happiness in their lives. The sources of happiness are in the form of soul, peace of mind, comfort in life. So that the stress they experience can be overcome properly.

Abstract

The objective to be achieved in this research is to find how the influence of integrity to transformational leadership on management of sharia organization; the influence of islamic self- regulation toward transformational leadership on the management of sharia organizations; as well as the influence of Islamic self-integrity and self-regulation on transformational leadership on management of sharia organizations. The subject of research is the leader or managers of Baitul Maal wal Tanwiil (BMT) or sharia financial services cooperative in Banyumas, Central Java, Indonesia, which are 32 leaders. Criteria of the management are: occupy the element of leadership or have the role of managing people/leadership in job description and have subordinates in their work. Data were collected using questionnaires. The results showed that: there was a significant influenc of integrity toward transformational leadership; there was a significant infleunce of islamic self-regulation toward transformational leadership; and there was a significant influence of integrity and islamic self-regulation simultaneously toward transformational leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to know the description of an interest in youth to continue to Higher Education in the District of Pulo Aceh, Aceh Besar District. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The number of juvenile population in the District of Pulo Aceh amounted to 407 people with a total sample of 80 people based formula Slovin and using sampling technique called incidental sampling technique. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and questionnaires. Previous questionnaires that have been tested by using validity and reliability. Data analysis technique used is Test Mean. The results generally show that 67.5% interest in youth to continue to Higher Education in the District of Pulo Aceh, Aceh Besar District is located in the lower category which means that most teenagers do not have the will or do not want to continue on to college. Teenagers trying to be independent and seek employment in order not to charge the parents, and it was thought sufficient to public high school just studying can already get a job. Teens mostly show their displeasure, lack of attraction to pursue higher education.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the role of hardiness and personal adjustment towards stress. The hypothesis is there is role of hardiness and personal adjustment towards stress. The population of the study was 237 cadets of POLTEKTRANSSDP Palembang. The researcher sample was 116 students and for try out was 60 students. This study used quota sampling technique. Hardiness, personal adjustment and stress was measured by the scale wich refers to the aspects of hardiness from Kobasa, Maddi, and Khan (1982), characteristics of personal adjustment from Schneiders (1960), and symptoms of stres from Hariharan and Rath (2008). The data was analyze using multiple resgression analysis. The result of hypothesis shows that hardiness and personal adjustment have a role to the stress, with p-value=0,000 (p<0,05) R= 0,750, R square= 0,563, F=72,730. Therefore the hypothesis are accepted.

Abstract

The topic of honorary teachers is a limited topic because it only occurs in Indonesia. Then, there is not much research on work motivation for honorary teachers. Therefore, this literature research aims to discuss further about several studies that related to work motivation in the honorary teachers. Literature search was carried out on the Portal Garuda Google databases, specifically in Jakarta State University journal collection from 2014 to the present. There are 3 research journal articles that have been identified using inclusive and exclusive criteria. Based on the review that has been done, there are several things that affect work motivation, including quality of work life and professional competence. Work motivation can also have an impact on other things, such as the performance of honorary teachers themselves. And if work motivation coupled with job satisfaction, that will affect the productivity and effectiveness of honorary teachers.

Abstract

Era globalisasi membuat perkembangan tim virtual semakin pesat didalam dunia organisasi. Teknologi yang berperan penting didalam proses kerja tim virtual membawa tantangan tersendiri untuk mencapai efektivitas kerja. Tujuan dari studi literatur ini untuk mengungkap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas kerja tim virtual. Jurnal yang digunakan untuk studi literatur dalam penelitian kali ini diambil dari 2 ­database jurnal yaitu Science Direct dan Emerald Insight dengan dibatasi tahun terbit 2009-2019. Pencarian awal ditemukan 92 jurnal yang kemudian diseleksi menggunakan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi hingga mendapatkan 7 jurnal (N=7) dimana terdiri dari 6 jurnal kuantitatif dan 1 jurnal mix method. Berdasarkan review, efektivitas kerja tim virtual dipengaruhi oleh beragam faktor eksternal dan interal diri pekerja. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas kerja tim virtual yang ditemukan antara lain kepercayaan, knowledge sharing, komunikasi, kohesivitas kelompok, pemimpin, dan komitmen.
