Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine and describe the effect of the use of the e~Module of hydrocarbon compounds on the independent learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya, and (2) describe the student's response to the use of the e~Module of hydrocarbon compounds on student self-study outcomes. class XI SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. This research is a quasi-experimental study, the sample of this research is 60 students, namely students in class XI~MIPA 1 and XI~MIPA 2 odd semesters for the academic year 2020/2021. This study uses a Posttest-Only Control Design. At the end of the lesson, the two sample classes were given a cognitive test using the same instrument and tested qualitatively and quantitatively. Data was collected by using multiple choice test method with five options. The test method was carried out to obtain the final score data after being treated in the quasi-experimental group and the control group. The hypothesis was tested using a t-test and was preceded by a prerequisite test which included a normality test and a homogeneity test, the student's response to the use of the e-module was quantified and the percentage calculated. The results showed that there was an effect of using e~Modul on the mastery of the concept of hydrocarbon compounds in SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya students with a significance level of 5% (thit 5.19 greater than the value of ttab = 2.05). The results of the student response analysis showed a positive response with an average value of 95.67%, which means that the e~Modul helps class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya in understanding the concept of hydrocarbon compounds independently. Abstract

Science literacy ability was one of abilities that should be owned by students, and this ability was on low category in Indonesia. It needed attention to be developed because of the successful indicators of chemistry learning process. This research aimed at knowing the effect of implementing Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) approach toward student science literacy ability on Crude Oil lesson at the eleventh grade of MIPA of State Senior High School 5 Pekanbaru. It was a quasi-experimenta research with pretest and posttest design. The subjects of this research werethe eleventhgrade students of MIPA in the Academic Year of 2019/2020. Simple random sampling technique was used in this research, and it was obtained two sample classes—the eleventh-grade students of MIPA 2 (experimental group) and 3 (control group). The data of this research were collected through observation, preliminary data test that was homogeneity test, and final data tests that were pretest and posttest. N-gain and paired sample t-test with SPSS 21 were used to know the effect of implementing SSI approach in increasing student science literacy ability. The obtained score of n-gain showed that there was a significant increase of student science literacy ability, it was on high category for the eleventh-grade students of MIPA 2 and it was on medium category for the students of MIPA 3. The results of analyzing the preliminary and final data showed that the score of -tobserved was -22.491, -ttable was -2.0301, and +ttable was 2.0301 at 5% significant level. The score of - observed was lower than -ttable, and tobserved was higher than ttable, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It showed that there was aneffect of implementing SSI approach toward student science literacy ability on Crude Oil lesson at the eleventh grade of MIPA of State Senior High School 5 Pekanbaru. Abstract

The development of this LKPD aims to develop LKPD based on the type of cooperative learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) which is valid based on validator assessments and practical based on user response tests, namely teachers and students. A valid assessment is based on 5 aspects of feasibility, namely the feasibility of the content, the feasibility of the characteristics of the TPS learning model, the feasibility of language, the feasibility of presentation and the feasibility of graphics. This research uses the type of development research (R&D) with 4D stages and is only carried out until the development stage of limited trials. The assessment instruments used were the validation sheet and the user practicality test questionnaire. Assessment of the user practicality test questionnaire was given to 2 teachers and 20 students from SMAN 1 Pekanbaru and SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. The results of the LKPD validation were declared valid with scores on the aspects of content feasibility, TPS model characteristics, language, presentation and graphic of 95.83%, 95%, 89.58%, 91.67% and 95.83%, respectively. While the results of the user practicality test were declared practical by obtaining an average score percentage of 92% by teachers with very good criteria and 88.03% by students with very good criteria. Abstract

This purpose of this study is to determinethe relationship between learning styles with unimodal, bimodal, trimodal, and quadmodal student chemistry learning outcomes. The research subjects were 160 students of class XI IPA SMAN 4 South Tangerang. The research was conducted because each student has a different learning style and affects learning outcomes. The learning style used is VARK (Visual, Audio, Read and Kinesthetic). Based on the results of the reliminary analysis, students do not know their learning styles and there are still many students who have chemistry learning outcomes below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The research method used is a correlational method with a cross sectional approach. Data were collected by using questionnaires and documentation techniques. Before the questionnaire was given to students, the validity and reliability were tested. The results of bivariate analysis using the contingency correlation test obtained p-value <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between learning styles and chemistry learning outcomes for students of class XI MIPA SMAN 4 South Tangerang. The results of the univariate analysis showed that the most common learning styles were quadmodal (Visual, Audio, Read and Kinesthetic) 54 students (34%), unimodal 37 students (23%), trimodal 36 students (22%) and bimodal 33 students (21%). Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research which aims to determine the effect of using virtual labs media in problem based learning (PBL) model toward students learning outcomes in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Jeneponto study on acid base titration. This study design used is posttest-only control group design. These study population were all the students of class XI MIA of SMAN 1 Jeneponto which consists of six classes. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. The class XI MIA 3 as experiment group and XI MIA 5 as control group each of which consists of 31 students, the learning process is carried out online. Technique of collecting data of the learning result done by giving post-test to experiment group dan control group. In analysing the data, the researcher used descriptive and inferential statistics. The result of the analysis shows that the average of learning outcomes of experiment group is 77,47 higher than the control group is 62,25. Result of hypothesis test by using Mann-Whitney test with α = 0,05 (non-parametrik test) obtained that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. It shows that there is an influence of using virtual labs media in problem based learning (PBL) model toward students learning outcomes in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Jeneponto study on acid base titration. Abstract

Dunia pendidikan selalu berkembang seiring waktu dengan terus menyelidiki metode belajar mengajar yang efektif. Hal ini bertujuan agar proses belajar mengajar dapat berjalan lebih mudah dengan hasil pemahaman materi ajar yang baik. Keterampilan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan prestasi pembelajar merupakan output yang sangat diharapkan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hal ini dapat dicapai salah satunya dengan pendekatan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengeksplorasi penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya yang mengkaji pembelajaran PBL dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan prestasi belajar. Metode penelitian menggunakan review literatur pada artikel 10 tahun terakhir dan didapatkan 11 artikel yang memenuhi syarat review. Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa artikel dengan desain true experiment menyatakan keefektifan pembelajaran PBL lebih tinggi dari artikel yang lain. Pembelajaran PBL memberikan pebelajar dapat mengeksplorasi pemikiran mereka, menemukan solusi alternatif, mencoba ide dan hipotesis, merevisi pemikiran, dan berkolaborasi dengan yang lain untuk memecahkan masalah sehingga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan prestasi belajar. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, prestasi belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an initial mapping of metacognitive abilities, student chemistry retention, metacognitive contribution to chemical retention of state high school students in Rote Regency. The population of this research is the XII IPA grade students of State Senior High Schools in Rote Ndao Regency, NTT. A sample of 200 students from 9 study groups was determined by simple random sampling technique. The research instrument was a Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire, for students' metacognition, and a test for students' chemical retention. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results of the analysis obtained: 1) the average knowledge and metacognitive regulation of Rote Ndao High School students is in the sufficient category while the average learning retention is in the medium category, 2) the percentage of good categories for metacognitive knowledge and regulation is 52.50%, respectively. and 58%, 3) the highest percentage of chemical retention in the low category was 46.50%, 4) metacognitive knowledge and cognitive regulation with chemical retention were positively correlated with a reliability value of 13.4%. The results of the study indicate that there is a relationship between knowledge and metacognitive regulation with chemical retention of class XII IPA students of SMA Negeri in Rote Ndao Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang mendapat perlakuan praktikum skala mikro dengan siswa yang mendapat perlakuan praktikum konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi experiment dengan design pre- and post test design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Santo Yakobus, Jakarta Utara pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2019-2020. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 40 siswa kelas XII IPA yang terdiri dari 20 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan 20 siswa di kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas ekperimen diberi perlakuan praktikum skala mikro, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan praktikum konvensional. Kedua kelas diberikan pre-test dan post-test dengan menggunakan instrumen tes yang sama. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas 10 soal uraian yang dibuat berdasarkan 8 indikator keterampilan proses sains dan telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya (r = 0,919). Untuk melihat keterlaksanaan kegiatan praktikum maka dilakukan pengamatan dengan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang mendapat perlakuan praktikum skala mikro dengan siswa yang mendapat perlakuan praktikum konvensional, (thitung (5,412) > ttabel (2,528)). Praktikum skala mikro lebih efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dibandingkan dengan praktikum konvensional. Hal ini berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan praktikum skala mikro yang dilakukan secara individu memberikan pengalaman langsung untuk membuktikan fakta, teori dan konsep yang telah dipelajari di kelas sehingga siswa mendapatkan pengetahuan secara mendalam. Abstract

This study aims to determine achievement of 4S TMD selection criteria for atomic structure material in 2 SMA/MA chemistry textbooks (publishers YW and WJL) that most widely used in Ogan Ilir Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with content analysis method. The 4S TMD selection stage, namely conformity to demands of the 2013 curriculum revision, correctness of concepts and inculcation of values. Concept suitability analysis is obtained by examining breadth and depth of the concept. The results of breadth concepts analysis in research object A obtained 18 appropriate concepts and 6 too broad concepts. Meanwhile, the breadth concepts in research object B obtained 18 appropriate concepts and 3 concepts are too broad. Then, results of depth concept analysis in research object A and research object B obtained 18 appropriate concepts. The results of the analysis of the truth of the concepts in research object A and research object B obtained 18 appropriate concepts in the atomic structure material are scientifically correct. The results of embedded value analysis in research object A obtained 10 embedded values. Meanwhile, results of embedded value analysis in research object B obtained 12 embedded values. From the results of the study, the researcher recommend WJL published chemistry textbook use in learning activities. Keywords: Textbook, Atomic Structure, 4S TMD
