Abstract

Buah karamunting (Melastoma polyanthum) termasuk tanaman khas Kalimantan Selatan yang dilaporkanmengandung antioksidan yang sangat kuat. Karamunting mengandung senyawa golongan antrakinon, fenolik, terpenoid dan flavonoid, selain itu juga mengandung unsur kalium dan natrium. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ekstrak buah karamunting diperoleh dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96% serta metode freeze dry untuk menghasilkan ekstrak kering buah karamunting. Tablet hisap menggunakan metode granulasi basah dengan membuat beberapa seri konsentrasi PVP sebagai pengikat dengan variasi F1 (6%), F2 (8%), dan F3 (10%).Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi granul semua formula memenuhi persyaratan yang ditentukan. Selain itu untuk hasilevaluasi tablet hisap dari ketiga formula tersebut terdapat pada F2 dan F3 yang memenuhi semua persyaratan tablet hisap. Sedangkan nilai IC50 yang diperoleh pada ekstrak freeze dry buah karamunting yaitu 18,5787 ppm, selain itu hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan tablet hisap buah karamunting menunjukkan bahwa F1, F2, dan F3 mempunyai nilai IC50sebesar 85,221; 69,234; dan 85,082 ppm. Dari hasil penelitian Formulasi Sediaan Tablet Hisap Dari Ekstrak Freeze dry Buah Karamunting (Melastoma polyanthum) sebagai Antioksidan, disimpulkan bahwa sediaan tablet hisap telah memenuhi persyaratan uji sifat fisik yang terdapat pada formula 2 dan formula 3 serta menghasilkan sediaan tablet hisap yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan kategori kuat.

Abstract

Penyakit kanker merupakan penyakit katastropik yang membutuhkan biaya yang yang besar. Cost of illness merupakan faktor penting dalam pengambilan keputusan karena menjadi suatu metode untuk menilai beban ekonomi dari penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis Cost Of Illness pada pasien rawat inap yang mengidap penyakit kanker paru-paru peserta JKN . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observational dengan rancangan deskriptif cross sectional menggunakan hasil studi pembiayaan yang dilakukan salah satu RSUD di Bandung. Data yang diambil merupakan data rekam medis dan biaya medis pasien ddpada periode Januari- Juni 2023. Didapatkan sebanyak 21 populasi dengan 27 episode perawatan yang sesuai kriteria inklusi yang menunjukkan total biaya rill berdasarkan perspektif rumah sakit pada pasien Tumor Paru dengan kode INA-CBG’s (J-4-14) sebesar Rp. 107.865.061 dan pasien dengan total biaya pada penyakit Prosedur Sisten Pernafasan Sangat Kompleks (J-1-10) sebesar Rp. 34.627.221. Sedangkan Perbandingan selisih dari tarif INA-CBG’s dengan tarif rill pada pasien kanker didapatkan hasil selisih total Rp. 143.633.469. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini terjadi selisih positif dimana biaya kesehatan dengan perspektif rumah sakit lebih rendah daripada nilai INA CBG’s

Abstract

Minyak atsiri rimpang kunyit (Curcuma longa Linn.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang digunakan dalam pengobatan tradisional. Untuk memastikan keamanannya, dilakukan uji toksisitas minyak atsiri rimpang kunyit secara uji toksisitas subkronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek toksik minyak atsiri rimpang kunyit terhadap liver tikus strain Sprague-Dawley (SD) dengan memeriksa aktivitas SGPT dan SGOT. Hewan coba berjumlah masing-masing 25 ekor jantan dan betina pada setiap kelompok. Kelompok I, II, dan III diberikan minyak atsiri rimpang kunyit dengan dosis 50, 100, dan 200 mg/kg BB durasi 28 hari, kelompok IV (kontrol) diberikan parafin cair 10%, kelompok V mendapat dosis 200 mg/KgBB durasi 42 hari. Data hasil dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji beda sampel berpasangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol, namun tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Pemberian minyak atsiri rimpang kunyit secara subkronis dengan dosis 50, 100, dan 200 mg/kg berat badan tidak memberikan efek toksik terhadap hati tikus betina dan jantan strain SD, dibuktikan dengan aktivitas serum SGPT dan SGOT

Abstract

Tidur merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia yang harus dipenuhi setiap harinya. Seseorang membutuhkan tidur yang cukup agar tubuh dapat berfungsi secara optimal. Remaja merupakan tahap dimana seseorang sedang mancari jati dirinya dan proses berkembang menuju dewasa wajib bagi remaja untuk memperhatikan kualitas tidurnya. Lemon adalah tanaman dari keluarga Rutaceae. Efek menenangkan lemon dapat mengurangi rasa sakit dan kecemasan, menjaga kualitas tidur tetap terkendali. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aromaterapi lemon dalam meningkatan kualitas tidur pada siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Banjarmasin. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre Eksperimental dengan pendekatan One Group Pra-Post Test Design. Sampel yang diambil pada penelitian ini berjumlah 273 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Alat penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner kualias tidur. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa hampir seluruh siswa mengalami gangguan tidur sebanyak 28 orang (93,3%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p-value 0,000 < 0,05. Kesimpulan penelitian ada pengaruh yang sangat signifikan pengaruh aromaterapi lemon dalam meningkatkan kualitas tidur siswa Madrasah Aliyah Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Pharmacists have a significant role in providing drug information. The level of patient satisfaction when utilizing pharmacy services is a reflection of the quality of pharmaceutical services provided by the pharmacy, which includes interactions with patients, overall aspects of the pharmaceutical service system, administration, financial aspects and the performance of pharmaceutical personnel.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of drug information services on quality and patient satisfaction at the MUARA TEWEH City Pharmacy. The type of research used was descriptive with a Cross-Sectional approach method. The sample used in this study amounted to 100 people. The sample technique used was purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire distributed to patients who visited the pharmacy. Data was tested with multiple regression analysis. It is known that the results of the level of patient satisfaction with the provision of drug information on tangibles 78.25 (Satisfied), reliability 79.3 (Satisfied), responsiveness 82.8 (Very Satisfied), assurance 81.7 (Very Satisfied), empathy 84.7 (Very Satisfied), with the average value of the level of patient satisfaction with the provision of drug information and the quality of drug information services in the tangible dimension, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy, namely 81.35 (Very Satisfied), so that together they have a significant influence on patient satisfaction in the Muara Teweh area Pharmacy by 52.9% (F-test = 21.079, p value = 0.000). From this study it can be concluded that there is an effect of the quality of drug information services on patient satisfaction at the Muara Teweh City Pharmacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan informasi tentang metabolit sekunder pada ekstrak etanol umbi bit (Beta vulgaris L.). Umbi bit merupakan tanaman yang memiliki kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder yang berlimpah dan bermanfaat bagi kesehatan maupun non kesehatan. Beberapa manfaat dari metabolit sekunder umbi bit adalah aktivitas antioksidan, sifat detergensi, dan pewarna alami. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian skirining fitokimia ekstrak etanol umbi bit (Beta vulgaris L.) untuk membuktikan adanya kandungan senyawa metabolit dengan pengujian kualitatif uji warna dan uji kromatografi lapis tipis. Penelitian dimulai dengan preparasi simplisia umbi bit lalu dimaserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Hasil maserasi dipisahkan dengan pelarutnya menggunakan rotary evaporator. Kemudian ekstrak dilakukan skrining fitokimia. Berdasarkan penelitian didapatkan bahwa umbi bit (Beta vulgaris L.) mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin, tanin dan alkaloid.

Abstract

Bloody diarrhea, also known as bacterial dysentery, is caused by Shigella dysenteriae bacteria. One potential treatment fot dysentery involves the use of guava leaves (Psidium guajava L.). The aim of this study was to determine the secondary metabolite compounds contained in the ethanol extract of guava leaves and to evaluate its antibacterial activity against Shigella dysenteriae ATCC 13313. The secondary metabolite compounds were identified through phytochemical screening by observing color changes after mixing the ethanol extract of guava leaves with specific reagents. The antibacterial activity was tested using the paper disc diffusion method with extract concentrations of 10%, 25%, and 40%. Antibacterial activity was indicated by the formation of a clear inhibitor zone around the paper discs. The results showed that guava leaf extract contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, saponins, tannins and alkaloids, which contribute to bacterial growth inhibition. The antibacterial activity of the extract showed that the 40% extract concentration exhibited the largest inhibition zone (15,33 mm), which is categorized as strong antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Cocoa pods (Theobroma cacao L.) contain various bioactive compounds that have significant benefits for human health. One of the main components found in cocoa pods is tannin which has antioxidant, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties. This study aims to determine and compare the tannin content of young and mature cocoa pods using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. This research was conducted using an observational approach. Samples of young and mature cocoa pods were collected from cocoa plantations in Nglanggeran, Patuk, Gunung Kidul. Tannins were extracted using maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. Quantitative analysis was performed using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 750.0 nm, resulting in an absorbance value of 0.877. The standard curve for gallic acid was made with the equation y = 0.0094x + 0.0299 and the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.998. The results showed that the average tannin content of young cocoa pods was 7.696 mg/kg, while that of ripe cocoa pods was 3.810 mg/kg. Statistical analysis using Independent T-Test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in tannin content between young and mature cocoa pods. This study confirms that tannin concentration decreases as cocoa pods mature, indicating the potential of young cocoa pods as a richer source of bioactive compounds.

Abstract

Black turmeric (Curcuma caesia) influences the wound healing process in male white Wistar rats suffering from diabetes with a focus on the anti-inflammatory content it contains. This study aimed to determine the activity of varying concentrations of black turmeric extract (Curcuma caesia) in healing diabetic wounds in a male white rat model involving 6 treatment groups, namely the no treatment group, the positive control group (bioplacenton gel), the negative control group (Na-CMC), groups varying the dose of black turmeric extract, namely 10%, 15%, 20%. The incision is applied and then smeared with the test preparation for up to 14 days in the morning and evening. Wound healing is measured by monitoring healing time and reduction in wound size. Data were analyzed statistically using the One Way ANOVA method. The study results showed that black turmeric extract could heal diabetic wounds in male white rats with an increase in the concentration of black turmeric, namely black turmeric extract containing 20%.

Abstract

The banana plant is one of the traditional plants often used for wound healing. In this study, the sheath of Ambon banana (Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum L.) was used as the active ingredient. The extract of Ambon banana sheath contains secondary metabolite compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, and tannins, which play a role in the wound healing process. The formulation was made in the form of a patch to enhance the effectiveness of active ingredient delivery. This study aims to determine the best patch formulation and analyze the effect of varying concentrations of HPMC and PVP on its physical properties. The patch was prepared using the solvent casting method with three polymer combinations, F1: 2% HPMC and 1% PVP, F2: 1.5% HPMC and 1.5% PVP, F3: 1% HPMC and 2% PVP. The evaluation data were analyzed experimentally and statistically using a one-way ANOVA test. The results showed that the most optimal formula was F1, as it met all the patch testing requirements with the following evaluation data (average ± standard deviation), Weight uniformity 1.1±0.083 (CV<5%), patch thickness: 0.04±0.012 mm (<1 mm),  Folding endurance: 324±6.51 (>300 folds), pH: 5.6±0.025 (range 4.6–8), Moisture absorption: 5.1%±0.182 (<10%). Based on the physical stability test, the results showed that the pH test and weight uniformity had a significance value of ρ > 0.05, indicating no significant differences in each test cycle. Meanwhile, the folding endurance stability test (>300 folds) had a significance value of ρ < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in each test cycle
