Abstract

Basic Tax Extension Remote Training is a mandatory training to be appointed as a Tax Extension Functional Officer at the Directorate General of Taxes, which is a new functional position, the implementation of the training is also the first time conducted, and is carried out remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used was the Kirkpatrick level-1 evaluation model and Importance Performance Analysis. The results of the level-1 evaluation of the implementation, all the elements evaluated were in quadrant I, meaning good and needed to be maintained. There were inputs to be considered in the implementation of the next training, namely the need to add learning videos on good communication, the need of application used in learning, reducing face-to-face meetings through zoom, and reducing hours of individual study in the evening. In Level-1 evaluation of the teachers, all elements of evaluation were included in quadrant I, meaning good and needed to be maintained. Currently, officials invited to give lectures are evaluated with the same instruments as the teachers. It is recommended that officials who give lectures are not evaluated as the teachers, because these officials are invited to lecture according to the authority of their position, not as teachers but as sources. Level-2 evaluation is very good because 96% of the participants passed with an excellent predicate.

Abstract

This study describes the use of tour guide discourse on speaking learning in formal forums. This is a descriptive research (qualitative). The research data were obtained by recording direct speech, speaking skills test to Indonesian MKWU students, University of Jember in 2021, even semester. Data analysis was performed with descriptions, interpretations, and explanations. The results showed a rhetorical pattern of the guidance discourse of coffee-cocoa educational tours that  can be applied in speaking learning, namely (1) speech descriptions, (2) calcification analysis, (3) complex procedures analysis, (4) contexts evaluation or phenomena. The four patterns were applied in text-based learning syntax at the core of learning. Through text studies, students obtained a complete speech model in conveying information. This was confirmed by the evaluation results of good category (that meets 3 indicators) on all aspects.

Abstract

The link between learning materials and the surrounding known as scientific literacy is an important thing for educators to do today. Scientific literacy is needed and it continues to be developed, especially in developing teaching materials. This research is conducted to know the needs of prospective teachers for developing teaching materials on intermolecular interactions and its connection with the concept of an inkjet printer. This analysis used an interview worksheet and conceptual questions given to chemistry learning students to discover the correlation between the material and the relationship with the existing context. The outcomes of the worksheet data were constructed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results stated that 97% of students already knew and were familiar with inkjet printers, but only 49% understood how the cognition of intermolecular interaction material in the circumstance of inkjet printers. 83% of students stated that there was a relationship between chemical materials and inkjet printers, but only 11% understood how the interactions between ink and paper were related in terms of chemical bonds. Students also stated that 89% required the use of teaching materials that linked the concept of interactions between molecules and their relationship with the context of an inkjet printer. Therefore, according to the conclusion of this research, teaching material is going to be developed that can explain the connection between the concepts of molecular interaction and the context of an inkjet printer to the prospective chemistry teachers.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted changes in education, causing various problems in learning. Because of these problems, there are certain responses from students as a picture of their satisfaction with the learning carried out. This response will determine students' attitudes in learning, thus affecting the achievement of learning objectives. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the problems and student satisfaction in distance learning. The research was conducted using qualitative methods with a field research approach. Data were collected using the observation method, questionnaires given to students via google form, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed through reduction activities, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the problem of distance learning that occurred in SMP Negeri 1 Pamijahan obtained a percentage of 58%, so it was classified as quite good, which inferred that the problem that occurred was not quite serious. The student satisfaction in distance learning obtained a percentage of 67%, thus it was classified as quite satisfactory. The aspects that need improvement because they resulted in bad category were aspects of understanding material and interaction, and less satisfied with aspects of material and learning methods.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to increase students learning motivation using Matlab. The research was carried out on students of the Informatics Engineering study program, Faculty of FTIK, Indraprasta University, PGRI. The population of this study were the 3rd semester Informatics Engineering students in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The sample taken in the study used purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by calculating the results of the questionnaire on learning motivation using Matlab. Based on the calculation, the score obtained was 80.81%, or it can be said that students who like to study physics with Matlab were 59.8 or rounded up to 60 students out of 74 students, which means 60 students agreed with the use of Matlab software to make students better understand physics material of motion.

Abstract

The Indonesian government implements Large-Scale Social Restriction known as PSBB which impacts the teaching and learning process at various levels of education to be disrupted as a result of school off in anticipation of the spread of COVID-19 in line with the implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Health (Permenkes) RI Number 9 of 2020, the process of teaching and learning activities in various educational institutions have been temporarily suspended and replaced with online learning as imposed by Pamulang University by implementing E-Learning. The aim of the research is to explain the relevant aspects of the observed phenomenon by describing the effect of student motivation and interest in learning on e-learning methods by Pamulang University,  Bachelor of Accounting Study Program, Academic Year of 2020/2021 through observation activities, as well as questionnaires followed by validity tests and reliability tests. The research was classified as a quantitative research. The data analysis used in this research was descriptive statistics and causality. The result showed that the effect of motivation and learning interest have positive and significant influence on e-learning in Bachelor of Accounting Program in Pamulang University. In other words, E-Learning activities will run optimally if students motivation and interest in learning can be maintained properly.

Abstract

Elementary school math learning activities during the new normal era in Alor District are conducted online, home visits, and shifting. This is a transformation of learning activities that are situational and relatively new in this district. The purpose of this study is to explore the problems encountered from all three mathematical learning activities during the new normal era. This research practiced a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The informants in this study were nine teachers determined by using purposive sampling techniques. The informants came from three schools with different learning activities. Data collection was carried out in January 2021. There were several learning problems found during new normal era, namely the competence of teachers and parents in terms of the use of online learning technology, learning design, learning evaluation, student readiness, and the active role of parents. Based on the findings in this study, alternative solutions were provided to minimize various mathematical learning problems during the new normal era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore student experiences in carrying out science practicum activities during online learning in covid-19 pandemic. This research is an exploratory research which analyzed in desriptive qualitative. The research population was the students of IAIN Surakarta. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, where the participants involved in this study were 80 students of PGMI IAIN Surakarta who studied science during the covid-19 pandemic in August 2020. Research data was taken through the distribution of online questionnaires using google form platform and interviews with lecturer. The results showed that science practicum activities during the COVID-19 pandemic were carried out through independent practice at home and recorded in video. The results showed 87.3% of students stated that the learning science process during the pandemic was ineffective due to the lack of lecturers' innovation in choosing appropriate learning strategies for practicum activities, 61.9% of students stated that there was a lack of learning resources including the availability of tools and materials, and 36.4% of students stated the lack of references used because they only had journal articles and internet pages. This study also discovered other findings related to the need for practicum learning resources for students, where 50.8% said they needed electronic media, 33.9% needed modules, and 7.6% needed textbooks as learning resources for practicum.
