Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pembuatan mikroenkapsulasi pirazinamid yang merupakan obat terapi tuberkulosis dengan menggunakan penyalut manitol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan waktu paruh dari pirazinamid. Mikroenkapsulasi dibuat dengan perbandingan pirazinamid : manitol yaitu 1:1, 1:2, dan 1:3 menggunakan metode emulsifikasi penguapan pelarut. Mikrokapsul yang terbentuk diuji karakteristik menggunakan scanning electron microscopy (SEM), distribusi ukuran partikel, analisis difraksi sinar X, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dan spektrum inframerah (FT-IR). Hasil uji SEM terlihat morfologi pirazinamid disalut oleh manitol. Hasil difraksi sinar X terjadi penurunan derajat kristalinitas. Hasil analisis DSC terjadi pergeseran titik lebur pada mikrokapsul pirazinamid-manitol yang menandakan terjadi interaksi fisika membentuk campuran eutektik sederhana. Hasil % terdisolusi  selama 360 menit untuk pirazinamid murni, mikrokapsul formula 1, formula 2 dan formula 3 berturut-turut adalah adalah 99,36%, 90,278%, 80,758% dan 64,19%.

Abstract

The influence of solvents on the gaining of phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity of  meniran herbs (Phyllanthus niruri L.)  have been evaluated. The meniran herbs were extracted with  methanol-water, ethanol-water and acetone-water. Total phenolic content of these extracts were determined by using the Folin-Ciocalteau method and antioxidant activity of these extracts were determined by using  DPPH method. The results showed that extraction with methanol-water, ethanol-water and acetone-water give extractives in ammount of 167.9, 152.8 and 135.7 mg/g, respectively. The total phenolic compound content of these extracts were 73.4584, 59.9798 and 48.9976 mg/g respectively. Where as the antioxidant activity (IC50 value) of these extract were 0.3987,  0.4323 and 0.4495 mg/mL, respectively.

Abstract

Study of solid dispersions of ibuprofen-manitol by solvent method had been researched. Solid dispersions made in 4 ratio formula, F1; F2; F3 and F4 with ibuprofen-manitol ratio  3: 1, 2: 2, 1: 3, and 0.5: 3.5. Evaluation of solid dispersions of Ibuprofen - Manitol include x-ray diffraction (XRD), FT-IR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), assay and dissolution test. Results of X-ray diffraction solid dispersion system showed a decrease in intensity of the degree of crystalline ibuprofen. SEM characterization results indicated ibuprofen morphological changes towards more amorphous.

Abstract

The determination of cytotoxic of the marine sponge Petrosia sp. using Brine Shrimp Lethality Test has been done. The cytotoxic activity analysis were done toward condensed extract, n-hexane, ethyl acetate and butanol fractions  and yielded LC50 value 70.736 ppm, 269.153 ppm, 197.38 ppm and 70.667 ppm respectively. It shown that butanol fraction was more cytotoxic than the other fractions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan logam Pb, Cd, dan Zn pada rumput laut (Gracilaria verrucosa) dengan metode spektrofotometri serapan atom. Parameter perlakuan berdasarkan tempat pengambilan sampel yang berbeda yaitu Bungus Teluk Kabung dan Tarusan. Analisis rumput laut dilakukan dengan cara pencucian dan pengabuan, kemudian ditambahkan Asam nitrat 0,1 N  dan Asam klorida 6 N dan diencerkan pada labu ukur 50 mL. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kandungan logam Pb dengan sampel RLB(rumput laut Bungus) 0,1168 mg/kg dan untuk sampel RLT (rumput laut Tarusan) tidak ada sama sekali, yang berarti tidak melebihi ambang batas cemaran logam menurut SNI (0,5 ppm). logam Cd tidak ditemukan sama sekali pada kedua sampel. Logam Zn pada sampel RLB 4,276 mg/kg dan untuk sampel RLT 3,336 mg/kg yang berarti sudah melebihi ambang batas cemaran logam menurut SNI (2,0 ppm).Kata Kunci: Timbal; Kadmium; Seng;  Rumpul Laut;  Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang  aktivitas antioksidan teh kombucha daun coklat ( Theobroma cacao. L) berdasarkan lama fermentasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah aktivitas antioksidan yang terdapat di dalam kombucha teh daun coklat mengalami peningkatan atau penurunan.Metoda yang digunakan dalam pembuatan teh adalah dengan metoda teh hijau. Lama fermentasi 14 hari dengan 2x pengamatan, yaitu pada hari ke-7 dan pada hari ke-14. Untuk uji antioksidan dilakukan dengan perendaman radikal bebas menggunakan DPPH.Dari hasil pengujian antioksidan diperoleh hasil, bahwa fermentasi pada hari ke-14 menunjukkan persentase inhibisi paling tinggi yaitu 87,745%.

Abstract

Flavonoid compounds have been isolated from Sida rhombifolia, Linn herbs. One kilogram of the dried herbs produced 1,7339 g ( 0.17339 % ) congealed extract and 3.87 mg of flavonoid A. Flavonoid A was yellow in colour, amorph solid which was decomposed at 232-234º C. Based on ultraviolet and infrared data and product of its hydrolysis, compound A was Flavonol-3-O-Galaktose.

Abstract

The study of vitamin C than ripe fruit cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) family solanaceae. Isolation of vitamin C with maceration method using ethanol 70% and performed three repetitions with the same solvent. Purification of vitamin C using semi-polar solvent is chloroform (CHCl3) pro analysis and obtained crystalline vitamin C (202 mg). Crystals obtained qualitative and quantitative testing. Testing quantitative with HPLC method. The study as a comparison of vitamin C using of products from Shadhong Bio Technology in the batch number 371-22109. HPLC data turns cayenne pepper ripe fruit contains vitamin C 0.1180% ± 0.0107 with a retention time of 2.557 and an area of 215843.

Abstract

The research about the effect of aerosil to the dissolution rate of isoniazid tablet with direct compression method has been done. Isoniazid tablets were made with different aerosil consentration in each formulas, that is 0.5%; 1%; 1.5%. Tablet evaluation were done by measuring drug loading assay and dissolution test using HCl 0.1 N. The assay was measured using spectrophotometer UV at 266.5nm; where obtained levels of isoniazid tablets in each formulas is 95.779% - 103.776%. The results of disolution test showed that every formulas reached the 80% of cumulatif persentage as follows, 98.671%; 98.441%; 98.327% at 45th minutes. The result concluded that the addition of execessive aerosil as lubricant can decreased tablet disintegration rate and dissolution rate.

Abstract

It has done research on increasing the dissolution rate of solid dispersion system Ibuprofen with polymer Polyethylenglycols 6000 (PEG 6000). Solid dispersion system prepared by melting method with a ratio of raw materials Ibuprofen - PEG 6000, namely : 6:4, 7:3, 8:2, and 9:1. As a comparison was made with the physical mixture of the same composition. The powder mixture of physics and solid dispersion system properties of solids characterized by spectroscopic analysis, SEM analysis, DTA analysis, and X-ray diffraction analysis. Dissolution test method is determined by a basket. The results showed that the powder solid dispersion system can improve the physicochemical properties of Ibuprofen. Dissolution profiles showed that the 7:3 solid dispersion system powder in the 45th minute to increase the dissolution rate compared to the powder mixture of physics.
