Abstract

Abstract  Learning a language is not only about soaking up the grammar and nuances of it, but more importantly about learning a foreign culture and further understanding our own. Humor is the key which can bridge a mutual understanding from one culture to the other. In the West, kenyataresearcher believe that our superficial sense of individualism inclines us to forget that people in other countries are generally more easy-going and less worried about offending someone. More importantly, people outside of English-speaking countries love to laugh and be playful. Of course, they are serious about studying, but they expect the English classroom to be fun, energetic, open and engaging. For many students, the EFL classroom is a way for them to temporary escape from the stress, repetition and chaos of life. Therefore, it is creative job as a teacher to minimize discomfort, negativity and frustration in the classroom. In fact, most of being a successful language teacher is merely creating an environment in which the students feel relaxed. Keywords: Humour, Pedagogical tool, TEFL

Abstract

Abstract: Community service held at Bimbingan Belajar Rumah Pintar Q-ta in Jl. Setu Pedongkelan Cimanggis Kelapa Dua Depok purposes to share knowledge and information related to the use of Cooperative Language Learning (CLL) Method in teaching English particularly for primary and secondary schools level. Besides, this activity gives either theoretical concepts or practical implementation of CLL Method for the instructors by self-applying of some techniques of CLL. Abstract

Abstract. This experiment research is aimed that the students’ result of study in Mathematics is caused by cooperative learning model of type Student Team Achievement Division and discipline of study. Research has been implemented using experimental variables after all put into 2 x 2 factorial design. In this research, the students have been chosen as a unit of analysis 60 samples. Research instruments have been tested with reliability coefficients = 0.887, and test the results of learning math multiple choice  that have been tested with reliability coefficients validity = 0.884. The analysis of the data using Analysis of variance (ANOVA) two directions. The result of analysis finds out that: 1) the students ' result of study in Mathematics is the caused by cooperative learning model of type Student Team Achievement Division  against the results of learning math, 2) influence of learning discipline against the results of learning math students, and 3) the influence of interaction of the learning model cooperative type of Student Team Achievement Division and learn discipline against the results of the study of mathematics students.  Keywords: experiment, cooperative learning, discipline of study, and the results of the study

Abstract

Abstract The study examines the teachers techniques in developing speaking ability, to identifies the difficulties faced by the students and, to finds out the teachers’ solution for the classroom problem in teaching and learning process in speaking. Design used is descriptive-qualitative study in describing the students’ ability to tell the past experience. To collect  the data, the writer uses observation and interview and using a spoken test as the research instrument. Sample used is 38 students of Junior High School. The result of the research after being taught by using Telling  past Experience is 76.42. Telling past experience was a bringing out a person’s individuality and personality at the past time. So, telling past experience can be used to give practice in speaking as well as in conducting this technique for teaching speaking. Yet student tend to get problems of being afraid of making mistakes and nervous. To overcome or to solve the problems making mistakes is a natural part of performing, convince to the students not to be scared of their audience, convince that the audience doesn’t know the students have made a mistake unless they tell them so and give them motivation not to give in to the fear. Key Word: Technique, Speaking Ability, Past Experience

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah 1) Mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar dan sikap mahasiswa  secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. 2) Mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. 3) Mengetahui pengaruh sikap mahasiswa terhadap prestasi belajar bidang studi mata kuliah Kewirausahaan.Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey penjelasan (explanatory survey method) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Swasta Jakarta, yaitu Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan Ilmu Pendidikan Kusuma Negara Jakarta. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 100 orang mahasiswa yang berasal dari Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan Ilmu Pendidikan Kusuma Negara Jakarta.Hasil penelitian : 1) Pengaruh yang signifikan motivasi belajar dan  sikap mahasiswa secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. Hal ini bisa dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai Fo = 52,823 dan Sig. 0,000 < 0,05. Secara bersama-sama motivasi belajar dan sikap mahasiswa memberikan kontribusi sebesar 52,1% terhadap variable hasil belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. 2) Pengaruh yang signifikan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. Hal ini bisa dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung = 6,792 dan Sig. 0,000 < 0,05. Variabel motivasi belajar memberikan kontribusi sebesar 35,36 % dalam peningkatan hasil belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. 3) Pengaruh yang signifikan sikap mahasiswa terhadap hasil belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. Hal ini bisa dibuktikan dengan perolehan  thitung = 3,962 dan Sig. 0,000 < 0,05. Variabel sikap mahasiswa memberikan kontribusi sebesar 16,80 % dalam peningkatan hasil belajar mata kuliah Kewirausahaan.. Kata kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Sikap Mahasiswa, Prestasi Belajar.

Abstract

Abstract: This the research about “The role of personality in face stress experienced by teachers  at SMPN 15 Jakarta”. The research method used is qualitative method with descriptive approach. As data resource is 40 teachers  for fill the questionnaire of research and for interviuwed about stress and teachers personality. The research instrument is interview, questionnaire and observation. The result of research is the teachers at SMPN 15 Jakarta have type A personality and externalizer  personality and experience the stres in face of demans of the tasks as teacher. and the role of personality is if the teacher's personality is strong, patient, calm, relaxed, no rush, but with earnestnes, confident of success, sharing difficulties with other people and live with the unpleasant task, then the teacher can face the demands of the task and the stress calmly, so as not to cause fatal consequences for the physical and psychological.The final conclusion is that the personality is quite a role in dealing with the demands of the task and the stress experienced teachers. Key words:  personality, stress of the teachers.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1). Pengaruh kemandirian belajar dan minat secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. 2). Pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. 3). Pengaruh minat terhadap prestasi belajar pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Jumlah sampel adalah 20 siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Swasta di Kecamatan Bogor Barat. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah: 1). Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kemandirian belajar dan minat secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Hasil pengujian diperoleh bahwa nilai Fo = 1264,727 dan Sig. =0,000 < 0,05. 2). Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi  belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai to = 4,791 dan Sig. =0,000 < 0,05. 3). Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan minat terhadap prestasi belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Hasil pengujian diperoleh bahwa nilai to = 2,816  dan Sig. =0,006 < 0,05. Kata kunci : Kemandirian belajar, minat, prestasi belajar pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial

Abstract

Abstract: In anticipation of the development of technology that students need to be equipped with adaptive capabilities to anticipate changes. Subjects Tekonologi Information and Communication one of them is to anticipate the needs. Interpreted in the field of ICT with computer lessons taught specific software. This study aims to find a model of learning that enable students to develop the Self in Learning Settings.  The resulting model consists of five stages of opening, material, training, evaluating and integrating activities that cover students, teachers and multimedia support. Based on the results of statistical tests for differences early test scores and final test in the experimental group and the control group, found learning model with self-regulation in learning better than the usual model of learning. Keywords: Models of Learning, Student Self Settin

Abstract

Abstract: Having Indonesian Language subject as a means of communication concurrently with Mata kuliah Pengembangan Kepribadian (MPK) or Personality Development course at the university level aims to develop students’ competences primarily in scientific writing competence including psychomotor, affective, and cognitive skills. These students are capable of growing as individuals possessing a highly developed intellect, distinctive mental and moral qualities, and ability to use their imagination and creative ideas in their field of interest. The vision of MPK is becoming a reference for values in cultivating Indonesian students into being. Along with this vision, the MPK has a mission to accomplish its vision into reality that is helping Indonesian students at the university level to place their mental and moral qualities on solid footing with the intention that a consistency in religious and cultural values is possible to be accomplished. It also goes hand in hand with the spirit of nationality in action by utilizing these skills to develop science, arts, and technology. Therefore, it is necessary to offer Indonesian Language subject as a fresh guided course namely Mata kuliah Pengembangan Kepribadian bahasa Indonesia at the university level.Keywords: Indonesian language., personality development., higher education
