Abstract

Coronavirus (CoV) is the cause of respiratory system disease with mild to severe symptoms. The first COVID-19 was reported in Indonesia on March 2, 2020, with as many as two cases. The Indonesian Pediatrician Association West Sumatera recorded that until July 25, 2021, 8,429 children from the age of 0-18 years were attacked by Covid-19. Prevent the transmission by implementing health protocols (wearing masks, washing hands, keeping distance, staying away from crowds, and limiting mobility). Observations show that there are people who do not follow these regulations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on students' knowledge about preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The type of research used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. This study used a group that was given an educational intervention using PowerPoint, video, and demonstrations. Sampling technique with a total population of 36 respondents. Processing data using paired T-test. The average value after being given education (18.17) was higher than before (16.19) with p-value = 0.000. It can be concluded that education affects students' knowledge about preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus at SDN 17 Gunung Pangilun Padang. The school is advised to implement health protocols in schools to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at SDN 17 Gunung Pangilun Padang.

Abstract

Health protocols have an important role in breaking the chain of transmission of Covid-19. The implementation of the health protocol is an action that dentists can take while treating patients to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between dentist knowledge and the application of health protocols at the Dentist Clinic in Padang City. The scope of this research is dental and oral health. The research was conducted in May - June 2022. The type of research is quantitative. The affordable population in this study were dentists in the city of Padang as many as 83 samples with simple random sampling technique. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square test, data processing using computerized SPSS program version IBM 25.0. The results of this study are that the most gender is female, namely 62 people (74.7%), the most knowledge is bad, namely 45 people (54.2%), the most actions are good, namely 43 people (51.8%), there is a relationship between knowledge of dentists with the application of health protocols at the Dentist Clinic in Padang City (p = 0.010), Conclusion: There is a relationship between dentist knowledge and the application of health protocols at the Dentist Clinic in Padang City. prevention of exposure to COVID-19 so that protection for dentists and patients is more perfect.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is one of the disorders during menstruation. Dysmenorrhea affects quality of life by limiting physical activity, and impairing focus. The study aims to determine the correlation between knowledge and attitude in overcoming dysmenorrhea in students of Nutrition Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. This study employed an analytic observational with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were students of the 6th semester of Nutrition Study Program by using a total sampling technique, a sample of 65 respondents was obtained. The data was collected using an instrument in the form of a knowledge and attitude questionnaire in overcoming dysmenorrhea. The data analysis used the Chi Square statistical test. The results of the study showed that there were sufficient knowledge about dysmenorrhea as many as 30 people (46.2%) and negative attitudes in overcoming dysmenorrhea as many as 39 people (60.0%). The results of the Chi Square statistical test obtained a significance value of 0.000 so that (p < 0.05) means that there was a significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes in overcoming dysmenorrhea. It is known that the correlation coefficient is 0.620, which means that the category of the closeness of the correlation is strong. In conclusion, there is a significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes in overcoming dysmenorrhea. The respondents are suggested to increase knowledge about dysmenorrhea, so that they can overcome dysmenorrhea appropriately.

Abstract

One of the factors that can affect the learning process and the health of school residents is the hygiene of the school environment. A potentially disease-causing school environment necessitates a school environmental health inspection to maintain a healthy school environment and promote students' clean and healthy lifestyles. This study seeks to characterize the health status of the school environment at State Junior High School 2 Dramaga in Bogor, West Java. This study is an observational descriptive study. The scope of the study includes the health of the school environment, including location, building construction, building space, room air quality, lighting, ventilation, school sanitation facilities, sports facilities, worship facilities, the yard, and the absence of mosquito larvae. Observation with a checklist and measurements of the physical environment, including classroom density, lighting, and ventilation measurements, were used to collect data. The results indicated positively to the health of the school environment. Efforts to improve school sanitation in the regulation and coaching sections yielded positive results. However, in terms of building space, lighting, toilets, and the absence of mosquito larvae, and the results are not favorable. The research findings on the health of the school environment led to a positive conclusion with a percentage of 69.2%. In addition to advising schools on how to enhance their facilities and infrastructure, researchers also monitor the schools' environmental health.

Abstract

Pregnancy with Covid-19 increases the risk of maternal morbidity. Covid-19 vaccination in pregnant women as an effort to reduce the transmission of Covid-19 in pregnancy. The low Covid-19 vaccination achievement of 38 out of 1,150 pregnant women coverage can be influenced by the perception of pregnant women. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and perceptions of pregnant women about the Covid-19 vaccine. Cross sectional design, purposive sampling technique with 169 pregnant women as respondents. Univariate data analysis in frequency distribution and bivariate analysis of chi-square test. The results showed the characteristics of pregnant women Respondents were 134 pregnant women (79.3%) aged 20-35 years, 52 pregnant women (30.8%) with less knowledge about the Covid-19 vaccine and 65 pregnant women (38.5%). ) has a negative perception. The test results obtained p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05), there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the perception of pregnant women about the Covid-19 vaccine. The level of knowledge of pregnant women is sufficient and the perception is positive at the Plaju Palembang Health Center, but there are still some who have a negative perception. It is recommended to increase the knowledge of pregnant women with education about the Covid-19 vaccine in pregnancy through pregnant women involving their husbands and families to vaccinate Covid-19 without hesitation.

Abstract

An antipyretic analgesic drug called paracetamol is used in children to treat mild to moderate pain and fever. Orally Disintegrating Tablet (ODT), a medicine that dissolves in seconds, was created to help children who have difficulty swallowing tablets. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of changes in the concentration of chitosan as a disintegrant in the formulation of ODT paracetamol. These ODT tablets are made using a wet granulation process. Paracetamol ODT tablets were produced in three formulations with 3.5% chitosan concentration; 7% and 14%. The findings showed that the optimal concentration of chitosan was 3.5%, which had an impact on the physical characteristics and dissolution of tablets. The results showed that paracetamol F1 ODT preparation with 3.5% chitosan concentration was the best formula. This was caused by chitosan with an average weight uniformity test value of 202.65±2.00 mg; uniformity of diameter and thickness 0.831±0.008 cm and 0.343±0.008 cm, hardness 5.4±0.34 kg; brittleness 0.23±0.02; disintegration time 24 seconds; da dissolution 99.56%. The findings for hardness (p= 0.011), friability (p= 0.046), and disintegration time (p= 0.000) all showed significant variation (p 0.05). It was concluded that the disintegration time of the tablets increased with the increase in the chitosan content. It is recommended that further research be conducted for analgesic and antipyretic tests to determine whether the tablets have an effective analgesic and antipyretic effect.

Abstract

Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) or also known as cassava has a high carbohydrate content and has become the third staple food source after maize and rice. Cassava also contains linamarin and lotaustralin poisons which belong to the cyanogenic glycoside group. Cyanogenetic glycosides are compounds found in plant foodstuffs and are potentially very toxic because they decompose and release hydrogen cyanide. This study aims to determine the cyanide acid content in cassava before being soaked in lime solution and to determine the cyanide acid content in cassava after soaking in lime solution with concentrations of 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1% and 2% for 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours. Using argentometry method. Soaking with lime concentrations of 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1% and 2% does not affect the cyanide acid levels, which affects the cyanide levels, namely the long soaking time which is 2 hours can reduce the cyanide acid levels. up to 50%, soaking time of 4 hours reduced 62.5% and soaking time of 6 hours reduced up to 75% the level of cyanide acid contained in cassava. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the soaking time greatly affects the decrease in cyanide levels found in cassava. Suggestions should try measurements using instrumentation methods.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in the world, one of the factors is hypercholesterolemia which causes thickening of artery walls, resulting in atherosclerosis. The management of hypercholesterolemia is done non-pharmacologically, namely medical nutritional therapy using functional food ingredients, red beans and probiotics containing isoflavones and BAL compounds that can reduce total cholesterol levels. This research aims the effectiveness of giving red bean yoghurt of total cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia. This study used a Quasy experiment with pre-post test design, from February 2019 to May 2020 in all patients with hypercholesterolemia in the working area of ​​Nanggalo Public Health Center. The number of samples were 15 cases given red bean yoghurt and 15 controls given 225 mL of probiotic yoghurt for 14 days and were taken by purposive sampling. The data taken is the results of initial and final cholesterol examination of hypercholesterolemia patients, analyzed by T-Test Dependent and Mann Whitney. The results showed an average decrease in total cholesterol levels of respondents given red bean yogurt 40.87 mg/dL and probiotic yogurt 15.47 mg/dL. Statistical test results showed there were significant differences between changes in total cholesterol levels of respondents who were given red bean yoghurt and probiotic yoghurt (p = 0.00). Red bean yoghurt is effective in reducing cholesterol levels so that red bean yogurt can be used as an alternative treatment for cholesterol-lowering.

Abstract

Noodles are foods that adults and children like, there are various types of noodles, one of which is wet noodles. Wet noodles are high in carbohydrates, but low in protein, so you need to add protein from other foods such as dried rebon shrimp . The purpose of the study was to determine the protein content and acceptability of wet noodles substituting dry rebon shrimp flour. This type of research is experimental research in the field of food technology with complete randomized design (RAL) one control, three treatments, two repetitions. Test protein levels in the laboratory Baristand Padang and receptivity Test at SDN 10 Surau Gadang. The study was conducted from March 2020 to April 2021. Organoleptic test results obtained the best treatment with a ratio of 75: 25 grams, 8.1% protein content with an increase of 3.5% protein, 80% target can spend product means wet noodles is acceptable. It is suggested that in the production process of wet noodles should use a substitution of dry rebon shrimp flour as much as 25 grams, and further research to test the shelf life and food safety.

Abstract

Nutrition has a major contribution to the life cycle, one of the nutritional problems of pregnant women is malnutrition, both macro and micro malnutrition which is manifested in chronic energy deficiency In Indonesian it’s KEK. KEK can cause premature, low birth weight, stunting and other complications, early detection can use indicator by measuring Upper Arm Circumference. The prevalence rate of KEK for pregnant women in Indonesian 17.3% nationally. The purpose this study was to analyze the relationship between age, parity, occupation with KEK risk. Method research used quantitative with a crosssectional approach. The sample this study was the entire population, 1st trimester pregnant women at the Cilengkrang Health Center from March 2020 to March 2022 who had complete medical record data. The independent variables in the study were age, parity, occupation, the dependent variable was KEK risk. Sampling used a total sampling technique who met the inclusion criteria, analyzed using Univariate Analysis and Bivariate analysis was carried out with the Chi Square statistical. The results of research on each variable p value<0.05. The conclusion is there is a relationship between age, parity, occupation with KEK for pregnant women in 1st trimester. Suggestions for pregnant women and pregnant women plan their pregnancies at reproductive age at 20 years to 35 years and must know the nutrition they need during pregnancy, to create a healthy pregnancy and minimize the risk of complications.
