Abstract

This study aims to describe improving the learning outcomes of mathematics learning outcomes in the fourth grade elementary school graders through the Talking Stick learning model assisted by Geoboard media. This research is a quantitative research with Pre-Experiment Designs in the form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Designs. This research was carried out in the fourth grade of SDN 01 Tambirejo, Grobogan Regency in the 2020/2021 academic year during September 2021. The sampling technique used the Probability Sampling technique, so that the fourth grade consisted of 20 students as the experimental class and the fourth grade consisted of 20 students as the control class. The data from this research are in the form of student learning outcomes obtained by using pretest-posttest questions. Based on the research data, the average value of the experimental class (pretest) was 69.3 students who achieved 60% completeness and the average score (posttest) was 75.7 students who achieved 100% completeness. the increase of students in achieving completeness is 40%. From the research data = 9,669 while = 2.042 (dk = 38). Thus > (9,669 > 2.042). This means that the Talking Stick model with the help of Geoboard media is effective on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Parental attention is needed in improving student learning outcomes, for this reason this study aims to find out whether parental attention can improve student learning outcomes. This research uses descriptive quantitative with convenience sampling. There are two variables in this study, the independent variable is parental attention, and the dependent variable is student learning outcomes. This research was carried out in one of the Manado Junior High Schools. Respondents amounted to 64 students. The results obtained in this study are as follows: The level of parental attention is at a good level, the level of student learning outcomes is at a good level and the relationship between parental attention and student learning outcomes is P = .092. The result is that there is no significant relationship between parental attention and student learning outcomes. Suggestions to parents of students that the attention given by parents should be increased. For parents to increase the attention that must be given to children and realize that student success cannot be separated from their attention. For students, it is expected that learning outcomes will be improved in order to get better results.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the application of the interactive model on the science learning outcomes of V class UPT SPF SD Inpres Barombong III Kota Makassar City. The population in this research, namely class VA and VB consisted of 48 students and the samples in this research were all students of class VA SD Inpres Barombong III Kota Makassar city, which consisted of 24 students, the total number of samples used 24 students with simple random sampling technique. The instruments used students’ activity observation sheets, tests and questionnaires. As well as data collection techniques, namely observation sheets, tests, and questionnaires. The results of this research by using descriptive statistical analysis, the average value of the interactive model was 82 in the good category and the value of science learning outcomes was 82.29 in the category. Inferential statistical analysis, the results of the normality test Pretest 0.97 and Posttest 203 > 0.05, the homogeneity test result was 408 > 0.05 (homogeneous), the results of the hypothesis test showed the value of sig 0.00 with criteria Sig (0.00) > a (0.05).

Abstract

Critical thinking skill is one of 21st century vital skills that should be mastered by students to face global challenges. Unfortunately, critical thinking skills possessed by many students are still not well developed. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Cooperative Script learning model to improve critical thinking skills of grade VI students at SDN Panglegur 2 Pamekasan. The research used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting activities. The results of this study showed that there was an increase in the average score of students' critical thinking skills. The average score on the initial test was 60.65 or it was included in the category of sufficient critical thinking; the average score in the 1st cycle was 67.91 or it was still in the sufficient category; and in the 2nd cycle rose to 74.52 or in the good category. At the end of the 2nd cycle, as many as 17.39% of students reached the category of very good critical thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Cooperative Script learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the use of youtube as a learning medium at SDN Jatingaleh 02 Semarang for 4th class. Which is descriptive for the teachers. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, student questionnaires, and documentation. The research subjects are teachers and students at 4th class. The results are: 1) planning and choosing videos before teaching, 2) implementation by displaying and sharing by WA’s group. This learning process requires the teachers designing activities and providing interesting objectives. The conclusion of youtube as a learning medium can give positive impact for students, by stimulating, can to make the students comfortable, can increase students motivation, focusing, insight, and knowledge.

Abstract

Online learning is learning that in its application utilizes various digital technology sources through internet network access without involving direct interaction so that it is able to cover a wider group. The purpose of this study was to analyze the problems of online learning and the effect of online learning problems on students' learning motivation. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the problem of online learning is incomplete student attendance. unsupported networks, lack of online learning facilities and infrastructure, teachers find it difficult to get feedback from students. The effect of online learning problems on learning motivation, learning motivation has decreased when online learning is 22% of students who like online learning and 78% of students prefer face-to-face learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of GLS at SDN Sidomulyo 2 Demak. The research was conducted at SDN Sidomulyo 2 Demak, in class III and IV with 10 students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were principals, teachers, students grades III and IV. Data collection techniques using data triangulation, namely questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results showed the GLS at SDN Sidomulyo 2 Demak was running well, it was known from the observations made in grades I to VI and the distribution of questionnaires in grades III and IV. GLS at SDN Sidomulyo 2 Demak has good with average score of 80.00%, for facilities and infrastructure has been used very well with a score 85.00% for participation of students in reading habituation activities is very good with a score 85.10%. In the habit of reading 15 minutes before learning at this time in the habituation stage. Teachers still take part in GLS implementation activities. Based on the results of this study, the conclusion are the success of GLS activities can be through reading activities as well as facilities and infrastructure that can foster student interest in the process of habituation of 15 minutes of reading before learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an audio-visual media product in the form of learning videos to improve the quality of learning activities, especially in English subjects in grade II Elementary School. With learning media, the teaching and learning process becomes easier and more interesting, so that students can understand the subject matter easily, the learning efficiency of students can also increase because it is in accordance with the planned learning objectives. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE model development framework. Based on the results of the questionnaire, a score of 80% was obtained, so it can be concluded that this audio-visual media is ‘very good’ for improving the quality of class II English subjects at MI Al-Hikmah 1 Sepatan.

Abstract

Communication skills are a competency that students must have from an early age. This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' science communication skills through Argument Driven Inquiry learning with an approach in presenting science learning. This research approach is classroom action with two cycles. Data on students' science communication skills were seen from observation, and qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques and presentations on increasing science communication competence. Students' communication skills showed a significant increase in each indicator, namely scientific argumentation skills, understanding of energy contexts, fluency and ability to respond to opinions. These four indicators found that the ability to respond to student opinions was still in the medium category, while the other three indicators were in the high category. Presentation of students' science communication skills from the first meeting. Second, third and fourth were 39.4%, 47.7%, 65.3%, and 76.4%.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is now having an impact on the world of education which causes changes in teaching and learning activities to be online. The development of science and technology during the pandemic has been felt such as the creation of new learning methods and presenting a variety of media or learning resources, one of which is using learning videos. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of thematic learning video media, especially for grade 3 students. This type of research uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach. Methods of data collection using interview techniques, observation, filling out questionnaires and documentation. The results of the analysis show that the principal provides periodic evaluations with the teacher on the implementation of learning using thematic learning video media. Learning using thematic learning video media using the Youtube, Google Classroom, and Whatsapp group platforms. The requirements for good thematic learning video media during the pandemic are the content of the video according to the material being taught, in accordance with basic competencies and content standards, interesting, easy to understand, using good language, achieving learning objectives, not containing pornographic elements and the spelling used is appropriate. with EYD.
