Gentala Journal Basic Education is a periodical scientific journal published in Indonesian language published by the Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Primary School Teacher Education Study Program twice a year in June and December. Abstract

The research carried out aims to develop students' responsible character in implementing learning through the three magic words journal media. The research was carried out at SDN Babakansitu, Sukabumi district from December to March. The research implemented was using Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects involved in this research were 15 grade III students at SDN Babakansitu. Data collection techniques in this research include observation, interviews, field notes and documentation. Through journal media the three magic words, character not quite enough answer students develop and achieve as much as 91.3% in the very good category. That shows that use media journal three magic words proven to improve development character not quite enough answer students in class low.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the evaluation of the implementation of Natural Science and Social Science (IPAS) learning in the fourth grade of elementary school within the Merdeka Curriculum, as well as the supporting factors and obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the learning process. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive study type. The research focuses on evaluating the CIIP model by Stufflebeam, which focuses on process evaluation. The object of this research is the learning process activities of fourth-grade students at Adisucipto 1 Public Elementary School in Yogyakarta, while the research subjects are fourth-grade teachers. Data collection techniques consist of observation, documentation, and interviews to strengthen the research results. The qualitative comparative technique is used for data analysis. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of IPAS learning in the fourth grade of elementary school within the Merdeka Curriculum is in accordance with the process standards set in Permendikbudristek No. 16 of 2022. Supporting factors come from the leadership of the school principal, training and workshops related to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, good student enthusiasm, support for school facilities and infrastructure in providing learning materials, teacher activities, the ability to use digital media such as computers and smartphones, and of course, the role of parents in their child's education. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by teachers in implementation are that they are still new and have not fully understood the components and guidelines for learning and assessment in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Low student learning activities need a strategy carried out by the teacher, this study aims to increase student learning activities in Civics subject the subject of Pancasila as the Value of Life. This study uses differentiated learning by implementing Problem Based Learning learning. This research is a classroom action research which is divided into two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing actions, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. The research was conducted on odd semester IV grade students at MIN 1 Kerinci for the 2022/2023 academic year with a total sample of 16 people. As for the results of the research conducted on 16 students, in pre-cycle activities the number of students who were in the active category were only 3 students (18.75%), while students who were less active were 13 students (81.25%), in cycle I students experienced an increase in the number of students who were active 7 students (43.75%) while students who were less active were 6 students (37.5%), and students who were quite active were 3 students (18.75%) Then in cycle II this experienced a very significant increase compared to the previous cycle, namely an increase in the number of students who were active, 13 students (81.25%) while there were no less active students and 3 students who were quite active (18.75%). This research shows that the application of differentiated learning by implementing Problem Based Learning learning can increase student activity in learning Civics on the subject of Pancasila as the Value of Life in odd semester grade IV at MIN 1 Kerinci in the 2022/2023 Academic Year

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significance of the influence of interpersonal intelligence and responsibility partially or simultaneously on self-confidence. This research used a quantitative approach with the type of ex-post facto research. The population of this research is 629 students of the fifth-grade elementary schools in Maesan District with 245 students as research sample which determined by The Slovin Formula. Data collection techniques used a psychological scale was tested on 150 students. The analysis prerequisite test includes the normality test used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. Hypothesis test used multiple linear regression analysis technique. The results of the analysis show that 1) interpersonal intelligence partially had a significant effect on self-confidence with an effective contribution of 14.22%; 2) partial responsibility had a significant effect on self-confidence with an effective contribution of 25.98%; and 3) interpersonal intelligence and responsibility simultaneously had a significant effect on self-confidence with a simultaneous contribution of 40.2%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the teacher's strategy is in overcoming bullying attitudes at SD Muhammadiyah Wonorjo. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with the case study method. The research location is SD Muhammadiyah Wonorjo 1 Sanden. Data collection techniques through observation, question and answer and documentation. Data were analyzed using data collection techniques, data presentation, inference and data validity. The results of the study show that the teacher's strategy in overcoming bullying behavior includes: (1) Finding out the cause of the problem in advance, (2) Giving punishment to each bully, (3) Giving verbal warnings, (4) Appeals or services , (5) Giving gifts (rewarding) and (6) Monitoring (monitoring). It is hoped that the different strategies used can change student behavior for the better.

Abstract

Dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka sekolah harus mempersiapkan banyak hal dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum merdeka di kelas IV SD Negeri 17 Tanjung Pandan. Metode penelitian jenis pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian implementasi kurikulum merdeka ditemukan bahwa guru kelas IV sudah mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka, dimulai dengan membuat perencanaan pembelajaran, melaksanakan pembelajaran dari kegiatan awal, kegiatan inti serta kegiatan penutup dan guru juga melakukan penilaian pembelajaran sesuai kurikulum merdeka. Ada beberapa hambatan yang dihadapi guru, yaitu kurangnya sumber belajar, banyaknya aspek penilaian, ketidakyakinan dalam pembuatan perangkat ajar dan siswa yang masih kesulitan beradaptasi terhadap kurikulum merdeka.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there is a lack of optimality in the learning process at SDN 1 Mangkujayan Ponorogo, so that the learning outcomes obtained are not maximal. The causal factor is the use of conventional learning methods or lectures in daily learning activities. This research was conducted to determine the effect of using the method guided note-taking help powerpoint interactive to student learning outcomes. The type of research used is an experimental design non equivalent control group and quasi-experimental patterns. Method guided note-taking is a learning technique that aims to improve students listening skills, concentration, activeness, and understanding when studying large amounts of material through handout provided by the teacher. The results of this study show from testing t-test results obtained tcount= 6.127, greater than ttable at a significance level of 5% with db 56 is 1.671. This shows that tcount (6,127) > ttable (1.671) which means H0 rejected and Ha accepted. The conclusion from the research that has been carried out is that there is a significant influence from the use of the method guided note-taking media-assisted powerpoint interactive learning outcomes for students in class V theme 8 sub-theme 1 SDN 1 Mangkujayan Ponorogo.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji penggabungan dan penerapan Konsep Dasar di lembaga pendidikan. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melibatkan tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif, meliputi artikel, tesis, dan buku yang berkaitan dengan pokok bahasan. Proses penelitian melibatkan pencarian sumber daya yang relevan, mengevaluasi isinya, dan menarik kesimpulan untuk mendapatkan wawasan tentang prinsip-prinsip dasar IPS dan penerapannya di sekolah. Temuan dan pembahasan selanjutnya menjelaskan evolusi ilmu-ilmu sosial di bidang pendidikan, sehingga lahirlah ilmu-ilmu sosial yang disebut Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di Indonesia. Ilmu-ilmu sosial merupakan disiplin ilmu pilihan yang telah disesuaikan untuk program pendidikan di sekolah dan kelompok belajar lain yang sebanding. Penting untuk membedakan antara ilmu-ilmu sosial dan ilmu-ilmu sosial, mengingat perspektif masing-masing terhadap kehidupan dan fenomena sosial. Disiplin pendidikan IPS didasarkan pada berbagai landasan, antara lain filsafat, ideologi, sosiologi, antropologi, kemanusiaan, politik, pedagogi, dan agama. Ilmu-ilmu sosial telah diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum Indonesia sejak kurikulum 1947, dan praktik ini terus berlanjut melalui revisi-revisi berikutnya, termasuk kurikulum terbaru 2013 yang mengutamakan pembelajaran mandiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas penerapan digital PBL berbasis flashcard dalam meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi literasi dan perkembangan kognitif di kelas besar. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif model concurrent. Proses pengumpulan data kuantitatif melalui pretest dan posttest, sedangkan pengumpulan data kualitatif melalui observasi dan interview pada 30 peserta didik kelas V UPT SDN 49 Gresik dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis melalui uji normalitas sehingga menunjukkan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,106>0.05 dan 0,058>0.05 yang berdistribusi normal, selanjutnya data diuji melalui uji T-test dengan hasil tingkat signifikansi 0.00 yang menunjukkan peningkatan prestasi belajar peserta didik dilihat melalui meningkatnya hasil rata-rata pretest dan posttest. Hasil rata-rata pretest sebanyak 66,17 sedangkan hasil rata-rata posttest sebanyak 77,83. Kenaikan sebesar 11,66 menunjukkan peserta didik mengalami peningkatan pemahaman pada materi pembelajaran. Peningkatan literasi peserta didik diamati dari observasi dan interview. Hasil observasi menunjukkan peserta didik dapat menemukan solusi dari permasalahan pada flashcard. Hasil interview menunjukkan peserta didik memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai literasi dan mampu menerapkannya pada proses pembelajaran. Peserta didik dapat menyebutkan norma tertulis maupun tidak tertulis. Berdasar hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan metode digital PBL berbasis flashcard merupakan pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan literasi peserta didik.

Abstract

Social Sciences (IPS) learning in elementary schools (SD) has a crucial role in shaping students' understanding of the social and cultural realities around them. This research aims to explore and improve social studies learning in elementary schools through the application of innovative learning models. The experimental research method was used involving two groups, namely a control group that took part in conventional learning and an experimental group that applied a project-based social studies learning model. The research results show that the application of the project-based learning model significantly increases students' interest and understanding of social studies material. Analysis of learning achievement data also showed a significant increase in the experimental group compared to the control group. The discussion involves an in-depth analysis of the suitability of the learning model with the social studies curriculum in elementary school and its impact on student motivation. Implementation challenges, such as teacher understanding and resource availability, are identified and possible solutions suggested. The implications of this research include recommendations for improving the social studies curriculum in elementary schools and developing training for teachers to implement innovative learning models. This research contributes to further understanding of the effectiveness of the social studies learning model in elementary school and provides a basis for further development in improving the quality of social studies learning at the elementary level.
