Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) integrated with Nearpod technology for Indonesian language learning on the topic "Bartering and Paying" in Grade IV at SDN 03 Tanahbaya, Pemalang. The background of the study is the low student learning outcomes and lack of active engagement in conventional learning methods. The study adopts a Research and Development (R&D) method using a simplified ADDIE model, limited to three stages Analysis, Design, and Development. The results show that the developed teaching module received a "highly feasible" rating from subject matter and media experts. The module was also considered practical based on positive responses from teachers and students. The module's effectiveness was tested through pre-test and post-test results, showing a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after using the module. Furthermore, the integration of Nearpod provided a more interactive and engaging learning experience for students. In conclusion, the PBL-based teaching module integrated with Nearpod effectively improved student learning outcomes and supported the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. This study recommends the use of similar modules in Indonesian language learning and other subjects to encourage active and meaningful learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Students' low reading comprehension skills make them unable to understand a reading that becomes a bridge of various knowledge. Then, a learning model is needed to help students improve reading comprehension skills. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of the CIRC learning model in 5th-grade students of Imama Islamic Elementary School. This type of research is experimental with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. This study's experimental and control classes were in grades 5C and 5A. Hypothesis data analysis using paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and N-Gain score. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test hypothesis test, a significance value of 0.001<0.05 was obtained, which means that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental and control classes. Furthermore, in the independent sample t-test hypothesis test, the Sig. value is obtained. (two-sided p) of 0.006<0.05, there is an average difference in reading comprehension ability. Based on the N-Gain score results, it was found that the average N-Gain value was 46.8%. This result is interpreted to be included in the less effective category. It can be concluded that the CIRC learning model can significantly improve students' ability to read comprehension of expository text. Still, it is less effective in enhancing students' ability to read comprehension in grade 5 of Imama Islamic Elementary School.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of the Tong Ja Li (Kantong Jago Kali) approach in improving mathematics learning outcomes among third-grade students, a concrete and interactive learning media designed to enhance understanding of multiplication. The background of this research lies in the challenges students face in mastering multiplication due to conventional and less engaging teaching methods. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design, conducted at SDN Sampangan 02 Semarang during the 2025/2026 academic year. The study involved two classes: the experimental group used Tong Ja Li, while the control group received traditional instruction. Data collection included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The study found that students in the experimental group scored significantly higher on the post-test than students in the control group. These findings indicate that Tong Ja Li is effective in helping students understand multiplication concepts through concrete, visual activities. It is concluded that Tong Ja Li can be an alternative solution to support elementary mathematics learning and increase students’ motivation and achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) learning and audiovisual media on the mathematical representation abilities of elementary school students. The background of this study is the importance of mastering mathematical representation in mathematics learning and the need for contextual and interesting learning models for students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of the study were fifth grade students at SDN 10 Petarukan, with class 5A as the control class and 5B as the experimental class. The instruments used were pretest and posttest questions developed based on indicators of mathematical representation abilities. The results of the data analysis showed that there was an increase in the average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class compared to the control class. However, the results of statistical tests (hypothesis tests and Z tests) showed that the increase was not statistically significant and did not meet the criteria for classical completeness. Although it has not shown significant effectiveness, this shows that RME learning and audiovisual media have the potential to improve students' mathematical representation abilities. More intensive and sustainable implementation is needed so that this model can provide a more optimal and significant impact.

Abstract

The key to students' early literacy success lies in effective learning strategies. Improving narrative writing skills in elementary school students is a crucial benchmark in developing their thinking and expressive abilities. Therefore, this article aims to examine the impact of the Classroom Reading Program (CRP) on the narrative writing skills of elementary school students. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative literature review. Data was obtained through the compilation and content analysis of various relevant literature. To ensure the accuracy of the study and prevent misinformation in data analysis, triangulation was performed among literary sources. This research found that the consistent use of CRP has a proven positive and significant influence on enhancing the narrative writing skills of elementary school students. This improvement is evident in students' ability to construct coherent story plots, use varied sentence structures, and select appropriate diction. In other words, CRP offers a conception of an effective integrated learning model as an effort to optimize the provision of early writing literacy in Indonesia.

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes to the field of education, with technology playing a central role. One prominent impact is the rise of social media, which is now widely used by teachers to share teaching experiences and educational content. Platforms such as TikTok and Instagram have seen an increasing number of teachers, known as Teacher-Content Creators, who produce and share content related to the teaching profession. These educators share a variety of materials, including engaging learning resources, creative teaching media, content about teacher-student relationships, and ideas for icebreaker activities. Their presence on social media provides younger generations with insights into the teaching profession, including how to create a fun and effective learning environment. This exposure has the potential to inspire young people to pursue a career as elementary school teachers. This study aimed to determine whether the content shared by Teacher-Content Creators contributed a partial and simultaneous effect on the interest of students in the Primary School Teacher Education Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto in becoming elementary school teachers. Using a quantitative approach, the research findings revealed that, partially, the content had no significant effect. However, simultaneously, the content exerts a notable effect on the students interest in becoming elementary school teachers.
