Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of Qur'anic values in agricultural practices through a Living Qur'an study in the AgriQuran community in Bandung Regency. AgriQuran is a community that integrates Islamic principles in sustainable agricultural activities to improve farmers' welfare and preserve the environment. This research uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involves the community actively in the research process and transformative action. The results showed that the AgriQuran community implemented various agricultural innovations based on Islamic values, such as the use of organic fertilizers, sustainable land management, crop brotherhood systems, and an economic approach without usury. The main programs include GreenHouse, AgriVisit, Green Alms, and empowering students through AgriPreneur. In addition, this community encourages an Islamic lifestyle for farmers by emphasizing the importance of worship, environmental care, and food security based on local wisdom. These findings confirm that the application of Qur'anic values in agriculture not only increases production yields but also brings positive social and spiritual impacts to the community. Thus, the Living Qur'an-based agricultural model in the AgriQuran community can be an alternative solution for sustainable agriculture in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of Living Hadith as a dynamic response to the problems of modern people, by combining the authenticity of hadith texts and the contextual needs of society. Through a qualitative approach and literature study of written sources, this study analyzes the application of Living Hadith in Javanese culture, especially in traditions such as weddings on holidays. The results of the study show that Living Hadith not only reinforces the relevance of the Sunnah of the Prophet in the contemporary era but also offers an adaptive model of hadith understanding without eroding its basic authority. These findings make a significant contribution to the development of hadith studies by mapping the dialectic between the establishment of religious texts and socio-cultural dynamics. The tradition of marriage during Eid al-Fitr/Adha in Java is an example of Living Hadith, adapting Islamic values to local culture even without a specific textual basis. This practice combines the concept of holiday blessings and Javanese togetherness, showing the flexibility of applying hadith in a social context as long as it does not contradict sharia. Living Hadith proves the dynamics of the interaction of religious texts with local traditions, maintaining the authority of the hadith as well as its relevance in society.

The significance of this study lies in the need to preserve local wisdom in child-rearing to strengthen cultural identity and enhance the quality of character education in the future.

Abstract

The global environmental crisis demands an ecological ethics framework that is not merely rational and technical, but also deeply rooted in cultural and spiritual values. This study aims to explore and analyze ecological values found in Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy as a foundation for environmental ethics grounded in local wisdom and aligned with Islamic teachings, particularly the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis and intertextual analysis of Tunjuk Ajar Melayu, identifying ecologically themed verses and comparing them with hadiths that convey parallel meanings. This approach is intended to reveal the interconnection between customary traditions (adat) and Islamic law (shar?‘ah) as a basis for environmental ethics. The findings indicate that the ecological values in Tunjuk Ajar Melayu are structured around three main pillars: humans as stewards (khal?fah) responsible for nature, humans as preservers and balancers of the environment, and awareness of the destructive consequences of environmental degradation. These pillars function not only as customary ethical norms but also embody a spiritual dimension that frames environmental preservation as an act of worship and moral responsibility within an Islamic perspective.
