This article was written to find out the correlation between comprehension and writing skill of description text for student at class VII SMPN 15 Padang. Data in this study was score of text comprehension skill. The type of this study was quantitative research with correlation design. Study population was students at class VII SMPN 15 Padang that enrolled in academic year of 2016/2017 with sample was amounted to 224 students that dispersed in seven classes. Sampling determination used proportional random sampling technique that obtained 42 students (20% from student population per class). Study fining showed that there was a significant correlation between comprehension and writing skill of description text for student at class VII SMPN 15 Padang with tcount > ttable (10.32 > 1.68). Therefore, to write description text students should be able to understand the description text it self.Â Kata kunci: korelasi, keterampilan memahami teks deskripsi,Â keterampilan menulisÂ Â Â Â teks deskripsiÂ

This study aims to describe the application of scientific approach on the aspect of assessment in learning the text of the negotiation in class X SMK Muhammadiyahh 1 Padang. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show the learning appraisal tool used by the teacher, ie practice/performance assessment, observation, project and investigation assessment, journal assessment, diary, open response questions, and portfolio. Learning learning activities are conducted through observing, questioning, trying, and communicating activities. ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of the research is analyze the effect of the use of techniques to imitate the model of poetry writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Kota Solok.Â Â The data of this research is test result score of poetry writing skills for students at class VII SMP Negeri 3 Solok before using the technique to imitate the model and test result score of poetry writing skills for students at class VII SMP Negeri 3 Solok after using the technique to imitate the model. Data is collected by work method test.The result of this research is it has significance influence of techniques to imitate the model of poetry writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Solok at significant level of 95% with degrees of freedom (nâ€“1), namely thitung > ttabel (7,52>1,72). H0 Â is refused and H1 is accepted because the result of hypothesis test going to show thatÂ thitung is bigger than ttabel.Â Kata kunci: Teknik Tiru Model, Keterampilan MenulisÂ

ABSTRACTÂ This research is a qualitative descriptive study aimed (1) to describe the planning problem based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (2) describe the application of problem-based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (3) describe the describe evaluating problem based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (4) describe students opinions of problem-based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. Subjects in this study were teachers in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. The methods used to collect the data in this study is the method of documentation, observation and interview methods. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive methods. The results of this study are (1) planning problem based learning model created by teachers such as lesson plans matching with curriculum in 2013; (2) the application of problem-based learning model that teachers are in accordance with the syntax of problem-based learning model; (3) evaluating problem-based learning made by the teacher is in accordance with scientific assessment; (4) positive response of students towards problem-based learning in learning to write poetry texts of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh.Â Kata kunci : model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, puisi

ABSTRACTÂ This article is aim to find out the contribution between listening skills on the story to the re-write skill on the story by the student on SMP N 1 Kinali West Pasaman. The research conducted by quantitative and descriptive method. There were three results of research conducted by the were (1) the listening skill of students can be clasified into good enough that is 72,45 %, (2) the re-write skill of students can be clasified into good enough that is 72,34% and (3) the listening skill give more contribution to the students in by the second grade studentsÂ SMP N 1 Kinali West Pasaman in re-write the story, that is in 92,2%. ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the skills of understanding the text of the observation report of class X SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti , (2) describe the writing skills of the observation report text of class X SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti , and (3) analyze the correlation of understanding skills text of the report on the results of observation with the skill of writing a report text as a result of observation of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Gumanti Valley. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The design of this study is correlational. There are three conclusions in this study. First, the skill of understanding the text of the report on the observation results of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti is in more than enough qualifications with a value of 74.57. Second, the text writing skills of the report on the results of observation of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti are in good qualifications with a value of 76.56. Third, the skill of understanding the text of the observation report has a significant correlation with the writing skills of the report's observation text in class X of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Gumanti at 85%.Â Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Memahami, Menulis, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi

ABSTRACTÂ This research is aimed to describe the influence cooperative model type think pair share concerning description essay writing skills of student class XI SMA Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. The research method of this study is experiment method with quasi experiment. The results of this study there was significant influence cooperative model type think pair share concerning description essay writing skills of student class XI SMA Negeri 1 Padang Panjang at significant level 95% with degrees of freedomÂ (n1+n2)-2, namely ttable <tarithmetic (1,70<5,43). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of ttable was smaller than tarithmetic.Â Kata kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, think pair share, teks eksplanasi.

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study consists of three things. First, to describe the skills to read the report text of the observation results of class VII students at SMP Negeri 21 Padang. Second, to describe the writing skills of report observation texts of class VII students of SMP Negeri 21 Padang. Third, to describe the correlation between the skills to read the text of the observation report and the text writing skills of the observation results of the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 21 Padang.This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design of this study is correlational. The population of this study was seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 21 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year as many as 219 people and spread in seven classes. The sample of this study amounted to 42 people who were determined using proportional random sampling technique. The research data was obtained through two types of tests, namely objective tests and performance tests. Objective tests are used to collect data on the skills to read the text of the observation report while the performance test is used to collect data on the skills to write the text of the observation report.Â Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi
