Abstract

ABSTRACT This article is written to know the relationship of reading comprehension skill with the skills of writing expositions of student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The type of this research is quantitative research. The method used in this research is descriptive method which uses correlational research design. The population is the students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya which consist of 191 students who are divided into six classes. The samples of this research are 30 students. This research consists of two variables, which are independent variable (reading comprehension skill of the exposition of the class X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya) and dependent variable (writing skill of  expositions students of SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya). The research’s results show that for the skill of expository writing is required the comprehension skill of reading expository. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that there is significant relation (meaningful) between the reading comprehension skill with the skills of writing expositions of students class  X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya on degree of freedom n-1 at significant degree 95 % which the tcount is bigger that ttable, which is 5,652 > 1,70. Kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, menulis teks eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article has written the contribution of appreciative reading  skill of fable story text to the skills of producing fable story texts at  students VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang. This research is quantitative research using the descriptive method and the contribution research design. The research data is the test result score of appreciative reading  skill of fable story text and the test result score of reproducing fable story text. The data has obtained through two types of test that are the objective test which uses reproducing fable story text . Based on the result of data analysis and the discussion, the researcher concludes the three things follow; first, the average score of the student’ reading appreciative reading  skill of fable story text at students VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang is in the good qualification (82.01). Second, the average score of the student’ reproducing fable story text students at VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang is in the good qualification (79,17). Third, there are the significant contributions between the appreciative reading  skill of fable story text toward the students reproducing fable story text students at VIII class of SMPN 12 padang as much as 84,82%.   Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Apresiatif, Mereproduksi, Teks Cerita Fabel

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to discuss the results of research on the skills to the text story moral/fable with writing skills the text story moral/fable the students class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman. The research was a score of the results of the skills to the text story moral/fable and a score of results of the writing skills the text of story moral/fable. The data obtained through two types of test, which isthe objective of a multiple choice as much as 40 bullets to measure the level of skills to the text story moral/fable and work performance for the skills writing the strory text moral/fable. This type of this study is quantitative. The method used is the method of descriptive with the design of merely correlational. The result of this research, there were three, that is (1) skills to te text story moral/fable the student class VIII in elementary school 5 Pariaman on qualifications (80,93), (2) the skill of writing the text story moral/fable the stuents class VIII in elementary school 5 Pariaman, located in the qualifying well (80,79), and (3) by the skills to the text story moral/fable to contribute with writing skills the text story moral/fable the students class VIII in elementary school 5 Pariaman as much as 54,61% in other words to te text story moral/fable it takes skill to text story moral/fable. Kata kunci : kontribusi, keterampilan menyimak, keterampilan menulis

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to see the correlation of vocabulary understanding of education with the skills of writing expositional text of grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Payakumbuh. This research data in the form of score test result of vocabulary comprehension of field of education and score of skill of writing exposition text. The data is obtained through two types of tests, ie objective tests to measure the vocabulary understanding of the field of education and performance tests to measure the skills of writing expository texts. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between the correlation of vocabulary understanding of education with the skills of writing expositional text of students of Class X SMK Negeri 1 Payakumbuh at 95% significant level with dk = n-1. Based on the t-test the hypothesis is accepted because t count> t table is 16.21> 1.67. Kata kunci: korelasi, kosakata, menulis, teks eksposisi

Abstract

There are four aims of the reseaech. First, to decribe how is the way to communicate toward the lecture. Second, to describe the principle of languange politeness in sending SMS to the lecturer. Third, to describe the scale of students languange politeness in sending SMS. Fourth, to describe the politeness of student’s languange SMS toward lecturer. This reseaech used qualitative research which   used   descriptive   methode.   It   was   done   at   Universitas   Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin Solok. Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of implementation modeling techniques toward writing a script drama one round skill eight grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Padang. This research is quantitative research. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, the obtainable based on the sampling technique are VIII.A class as sample of this research. The result of this research is there was a significant effect of the implementation of modeling techniques toward writing a script drama one round skill eight grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Padang by freedom degree (n1 + n2)-2 with significants rate 95% and tobservation  is bigger than ttabel that is 7,20>1,70. It means, modeling techniques was effective use in writing a script drama one round r of observation skill eight grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Padang. Observe the benefit and effectiveness of modeling techniques, it proved that modeling techniques can use as reference and developing of inovation toward writing a script drama one round skill. Kata kunci: keterampilan menulis, teknik pemodelan, naskah drama satu babak

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kekhususan gaya bahasa dalam cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan retoris dan  kiasan  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen  Kabut  Negeri  si  Dali  karya A.A.  Navis.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini adalah kata, frasa, klausa, atau kalimat   yang dapat dirumuskan sebagai gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A Navis. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara : (1) membaca dan memahami gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis, (2) mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasi data yang berhubungan dengan gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan. Hasil penelitian dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis adalah sebagai berikut ini: (1) Gaya bahasa  retoris  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen  Kabut  Negeri  si  Dali  yaitu,  pleonasme, eufimisme,  erotesis/pertanyaan  retoris,  hiperbola,  klimaks,  antitesis,  dan  paradoks. Gaya bahasa retoris yang dominan dalam kumpulan cerpen tersebut adalah hiperbola. (2) Pendayagunaan gaya bahasa kiasan dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali di antaranya alusio, simile, metafora, personifikasi, sinekdoke, metonimia, sarkasme, ironi, sinisme,  dan  alegori.  Gaya  bahasa  kiasan  yang  dominan  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen tersebut adalah metafora. Retoris dan kiasan dalam cerpen dapat diimplikasikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Dengan mempelajari retoris dan kiasan, pendidik dan peserta didik diharapkan mampu menghargai dan mengindahkan kehadiran bahasa dalam cerpen Indonesia. Semua hal tersebut dapat diterapkan dalam pendidikan formal, baik ditingkat sekolah menengah pertama atau menengah atas. Kata kunci: retoris, kiasan, cerpen, implementasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe two things, namely to explain the structure and diction of the report text of the observation results of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive methods. The data from this study are student texts. The data sources used in this study are documents. The instrument of this research is the researchers themselves. Data is analyzed by describing, analyzing, and discussing data based on theory. The results of this study are as follows. First, in writing the text of the report on the observation results of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman, they have used three text structures from the observation report. The structure is a general definition, part description and conclusion. This is evident from all the report texts on observations that have been analyzed, most students have written observational report texts fully using general definitions, part descriptions, and conclusions. Second, judging from the use of diction, students have used diction correctly. From the text analyzed students are more dominant precisely in diction writing, although there are also errors in formation, wrong writing, and the use of incorrect meanings in the observation report text by class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. Kata kunci :  Kualitatif, Menulis, Teks, Struktur, Diksi

Abstract

The purpose of this study consists of three things. The first, to descripe the skills of rewriting biograpy text without using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang. The second, to describe the skills of rewriting biography text using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang. The third, to analyze the influence of using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang. Based on the research it is known that there are three following things. The first, the skils of rewriting  biography text without using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior High School 14 Padang is in more than enough qualification (MtE)  in average 70,31. The second, the skills of rewriting biography text using think talk write (TTW) technique of student class X Senior Hihg School 14 Padang is in good qualification (G) in average 78,30. The third, based on the uji-t research, hyphothesis alternative (H1) is accepted at the level of trust 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = n-2 due tcount  > ttable(3,02 > 1,70). Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik think talk write (TTW), teks cerita ulang biografi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this study are three (1) to describe the types of authentic assessment used by Indonesian teachers, (2) to describe the compatibility between authentic assessment and theory in the Curriculum 2013, (3) constraints experienced by Indonesian teachers. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted by observation, interview, and documentation study. The results showed that teachers of SMP Negeri 1, SMP Negeri 2 and SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman have used the type of authentic assessment in the Curriculum 2013. Assessment is done through three aspects, namely attitude aspect, knowledge aspect and skill aspect. Kata kunci: implementasi penilaian otentik, jenis-jenis penilaian, mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia
