Abstract

Pembelajaran teks narasi cerita fantasi dipelajari pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama yang menyampaikan karya tulisan berupa imajinasi atau khayalan seorang penulis. Berdasarkan praktik pengalaman lapangan yang telah dilakukan, penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan penggunaan bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran teks narasi cerita fantasi kelas VII. Fakta di lapangan ditemukan bahan ajar yang digunakan hanya berupa buku paket. Hal ini disebabkan keterbatasan proyektor di dalam kelas. Dengan demikian, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana respons peserta didik terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar e-modul menggunakan aplikasi Canva pada pembelajaran teks narasi cerita fantasi. Untuk itu, peneliti menggunakan bahan ajar berupa e-modul menggunakan aplikasi Canva untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa angket untuk mengetahui respons peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar e-modul yang terdiri dari 10 pertanyaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui angket mendapatkan hasil presentase terendah sebesar 80,66%, tertinggi sebesar 95,33%, dan hasil akumulasi akhir data memperoleh presentase sebesar 87,86% dengan kategori sangat baik. Oleh karena itu, disimpulkan bahwa respons peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran teks narasi cerita fantasi dengan menggunakan e-modul berbantuan aplikasi Canva mendapat respons sangat baik dari peserta didik kelas VII J SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi.

Abstract

A novel is composed of internal elements that are composed of themes and messages. Novels have a moral value that is beneficial to the reader. Since Tere Liye's novel Janji is a best-selling novel containing stories of people's life experiences, researchers are interested in analyzing the novel. The purpose of this study is to explain the themes, messages and moral values ​​of Tere Liye's novel "Janji". The research methods used are descriptive and qualitative. The data source for the analysis is Tere Liye's novel "Janji". After research, I found that Tere Liye's novel Janji has two kinds of her themes, the main her theme about promises and the sub-her theme about life's struggles. The novel Junji's message is an implicit message about mutual cooperation and an explicit message about the power of belief. The moral values ​​contained in Janji's novels include her four dimensions: relationship with self, relationship with others, relationship with nature, and relationship with God.

Abstract

The use of technology in the world of education is an effort to encourage renewal so that there is compatibility between the development of the times, learning and students' interests. One of the ICT-based applications used in learning is the quiziz application, which is used as a medium for learning evaluation tools. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of students' responses to the use of the quiziz application on the learning outcomes of class XI Vocational High School students in lecture text material. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subject taking technique used was purposive sampling, which was taken randomly while the instrument used was a questionnaire. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is known that the average percentage of effectiveness is 83% in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the quiziz application in learning lecture texts can increase student motivation, provide a new atmosphere in the implementation of exams, besides that the design and features in the application are fun so as to attract students' attention.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many students who are still wrong in using punctuation when writing an essay. Many of the writings were untidy, imperfect and ambiguous, so the researcher wanted to know the level of punctuation errors experienced by students in class IX-B. This study uses a qualitative method that is descriptive, namely by describing 15 short stories by class IX-B students of SMPN 02 Cililin which have been analyzed on the use of full stop (.), comma (,), punctuation, writing names, writing foreign sentences, and initial writing of sentences. The problem discussed is whether or not the use of punctuation marks is correct in this collection of short stories. The purpose of this study is to find out punctuation errors when writing a short story. Based on the results of the discussion, it is known that there are still many students who have not been able to place punctuation marks properly and correctly, especially in the use of commas, periods, and writing names.

Abstract

The background of this research is to find out the extent of students understanding in using language styles in learning to compose short stories. The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of language style in a anthology of short stories “Pancarona” by Siswa Kelas IX SMPN 2 Cililin. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are in the from of quatations obtained from the results of the analysis which show the use of language style. Based on the result of the discussion, it can be concluded that the types of language styles found in the short story anthology book “Pancarona” consist of 15 short story titles analyzed, the research found 8 types of language styles used by students when compiling short stories, including the following: 1) There are 15 hyperbolic language types, 8 metaphors, 6 personifications, 4 similes, 2 paradoxes, 1 synesthesia, 1 alliteration, and 1 metonymy. 2) Short storie with the most use of language styles are short stories entitled Cinta tak Terduga and Bad Boy with the use of 6 types of language styles. From a total of 15 short story titles analyzed in the book “Pancarona” short story anthology, a total of 38 language styles were obtained.

Abstract

In the 21st century, it encorages teachers and students to be able to keep up with the times. The 4C skills needed in the 21st century include critical thinking, communication, creative thinking, and collaboration. Process of learning Indonesian there is often a lack of interaction between students and teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the discovery learning method in collaboration with the 4C skills so that the learning process is more impactful and enjoyable. This study aims to determine the response of class X-5 students of SMAN 1 Ngamprah in learning exposition text using discovery learning method. The method used is descriptive qualitative method, the instrument used is a questionnaire in the form of a list of statements addressed to class X-5 students of SMAN 1 Ngamprah. The results of the study concluded that the interest of students in class X-5 with the application of discovery learning method in learning exposition texts was around 93.1% interested and 78% agreed that the discovery learning method in learning exposition texts was effective to be applied to students in class X-5 at SMAN 1 Ngamprah.Keywords:        discovery learning; exposition texts; SMAN 1 Ngamprah

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya masalah siswa dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif. Faktor penyebab masalah tersebut siswa gagal memahami struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks pidato persuasif sebagai dampak dari pemilihan model pembelajaran yang belum inovatif. Dalam penelitian ini menguraikan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan media mind mapping. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan hasil belajar teks pidato persuasif menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning yang dilengkapi dengan mind mapping pada subjek sebanyak 34 siswa. Metode yang digunakan yakni deskriptif kualitatif serta pengumpulan data berdasarkan observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran teks bahasa persuasif menggunakan model discovery learning dengan mind mapping berjalan baik di kelas IX G SMPN 1 Margaasih sesuai hasil observasi siswa sebesar 93,7%. Hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan memperoleh skor total 85% dengan rincian struktur sebanyak 88%, kaidah kebahasaan 83%, kreativitas 79%, dan presentasi 92%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemilihan model dan media bisa menjadi solusi dari pembelajaran yang belum inovatif.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties of students in understanding the material of explanation text, especially in the structure and rules of language, the difficulty of contemplating ideas and ideas into factual written form, such as the source of teaching material that is presented monotonously and is less varied. The purpose of this research is to describe the use of E-Module teaching materials assisted by the Prezi application in writing explanatory text materials. The research method used in this study is descriptive quantitative. The subjects of this research were class VIII C students at SMP Negeri 1 Cikalongwetan. The research results based on observations in the learning process of meetings 1 and 2 reached a percentage of 94% in the "Very Good" category, meaning that the teacher carried out the learning well in accordance with the lesson plans using discovery learning syntax. As for the results of the use of E-Module teaching materials assisted by the Prezi application, it can be concluded that the use of E-Module teaching materials for writing explanatory texts was obtained from student response questionnaires with 95% results in the "Very Good" category.

Abstract

21st century learning has criteria that integrate with technology. One of the efforts to use technology in learning is to use teaching materials. Electronic teaching materials can be an alternative for educators, students, and schools. Its flexible nature makes it easier for learning activities. The This study's goals were to: (1) describe how electronic handouts are used with exposition text content and (2) determine whether using electronic handouts helps students learn exposition texts. In this inquiry, the descriptive qualitative method was used information gathered by answering a questionnaire. The study's conclusions suggest that electronic handouts made with Canva are useful for studying exposition materials. This was obtained through the results of a questionnaire, namely as many as 91.2% of students agreed and strongly agreed on the usefulness of Canva-based electronic handouts in analyzing exposition texts.

Abstract

Learning how to write is one of the language skills that students must master. The goal of this research is to provide an insight of the effectiveness of problem based learning models for writing skills in descriptive materials in Grade VII. The methods used in this study are descriptive qualitative. The study subject came from class VII E of SMP Negeri 3 Cimahi. Based on the result, we can conclude that the 36 samples have a total score of 3182, corresponding to an average score of 88 and a percentage of the total score of 88,7% representing a very good category. This indicates that the problem based learning model is effective in improving writing skills in descriptive materials for Grade VII students.
