Abstract

This research was carried out at SDN 035 Soka Bandung City with the subjects of the fourth grade student participants totaling 30 people, this research was motivated by the phenomena that occur in elementary school students in teaching and learning activities that are lacking in collaboration with friends, very visible in learning activities when The teacher forms a discussion group to do group assignments, it seems that there are only a few group members who work while the other members seem indifferent to their assignments. Thus, there needs to be a problem solving that must be done to improve student collaboration in social studies learning, namely by applying the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The research method used was PTK with the Kemmis and Taggart models. Data collection techniques use observation, tests, documentation and field notes. The results of the study showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning model in social studies learning could improve cooperation among students. This can be seen from the percentage of the components of the formation of cooperation both from the aspect of knowledge and awareness that increases in each cycle.

Abstract

Natural Sciences includes basic natural science that has a lot to do with life and life in this world. That is the background of this research. Learning Natural Sciences has been given since students in elementary school. It is very important for students to understand the process of forming elements of life in the surrounding environment. The results of learning Natural Sciences in the fifth-grade students of SDN 001 Merdeka were still relatively low. In addition, the learning process so far allegedly runs monotonically and can make students feel bored easily, so the classroom atmosphere is no longer conducive to the learning process. Seeing this fact, researchers conducted classroom action research by applying experimental methods to the learning process in the classroom. With the experimental method, it is expected that students will feel interested in learning new things, including fostering curiosity in students about the characteristics of the light they encounter daily. The learning outcomes are also expected to improve better, considering that in the experimental method students can directly gain experience and knowledge directly. The results of this study can also be used as reference material for teachers to conduct further research or similar research.

Abstract

Teacher and student interaction in the teaching and learning process does not have to be dominated by the teacher, but must rely on students. In determining learning techniques the teacher must pay attention to the involvement of students in learning. Speaking is the ability to speak articulation sounds or words to express, express and convey thoughts, ideas, and feelings. This study aims to determine the ability of students in speaking through the activities of playing drama characters, knowing the difficulties faced by students, and finding solutions to overcome student learning difficulties. The method used in this research is class action method. The research instrument consisted of observation, ability to speak practice, questionnaire and field notes. From the results of research and data processing, it was concluded that overall, the implementation of role playing learning techniques in improving speaking skills was carried out through three cycles of action implementation which focused on three pronunciation indicators, intonation, expression, had a considerable impact with the target of increasing speaking ability student. In other words, that speaking learning using role playing learning techniques has a positive impact on improving the ability of sixth grade students of Public Elementary School 055 Jatihandap, Bandung City.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading ability of class II students at SDS 440 Ganesha. Through observation, it is known that the students' reading ability is low because students have low reminders so that students are less active in participating in learning. From the observations that have been made show that 63.6% (7 students)  active in learning activities of all 11 students. Looking at the situation in the field, the researchers are interested in doing research with language play techniques complement the story, because language game techniques complement the story emphasizing real things students experience in everyday life. Reading skills through language game techniques completes the story is expected to trigger activity and creativity of students in the process of learning to read so that the teaching and learning process is not only dominated by the teacher. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. In the first cycle the percentage of student learning completeness reached 63.6% (7 students), but was considered not to reach the target to be achieved, namely 90%. In the second cycle students' understanding has increased with student learning completeness reaching 90%.
