Abstract

One aspect of development that can be developed in early childhood through the field of early childhood education is the aspect of cognitive development. In the cognitive aspect there are capabilities that must be developed, namely the ability to think logically which can be developed through science learning methods for early childhood, one of them through science process skills, where children will learn experiments, explore, and identify the surrounding environment to build their own knowledge with curiosity high so that later it will be useful in his adult life. This research uses quantitative research methods using quasi-experimental research using a nonquivalent group design research design. This study aims to determine the effect of science process skills on children's logical thinking skills. Based on the results of the study it was found that the average gain of the experimental class was 76.14 while the average gain value of the control class was 5.60, which meant that the use of science process skills was effective to improve the logical thinking skills of early childhood. Therefore, this research is recommended to early childhood educators so that science process skills can be used as one of the lessons to improve children's logical thinking skills.Salah satu aspek perkembangan yang dapat dikembangankan pada anak usia dini melalui bidang pendidikan anak usia dini  adalah aspek perkembangannya kognitif. Dalam aspek kognitif terdapat kemampuan yang harus dikembangkan yaitu kemampuan berpikir logis yang dapat dikembangkan melalui metode pembelajaran sains untuk anak usia dini salah satunya melalui keterampilan proses sains, dimana anak akan belajar eksperimen, bereksplorasi, dan mengidentifikasi lingkungan sekitar untuk membangun suatu pengetahuannya sendiri dengan rasa keingintahuannya yang tinggi sehingga nantinya akan bermanfaat pada masa dewasanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen (the nonequivalent grup design). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan proses sains terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa rata-rata nilai gain kelas eksperimen 76,14 sedangkan rata-rata nilai gain kelas kontrol 5,60 yang artinya penggunaan keterampilan proses sains efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis anak usia dini. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini direkomendasikan kepada pendidik anak usia dini agar keterampilan proses sains dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis anak.

Abstract

This study purpose of was to determine the effectiveness of modification play methods in improving numeracy skills in early childhood. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design that is using two classes. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis is done by using descriptive data for qualitative data, and using statistics for quantitative data. Based on the normality and homogeneity test, pretest and posttest data are normally distributed and the variance is homogeneous because all the significance is greater than 0.05. The data of this study have a 0.02 2-tailed significance value which means less than 0.05, so the data has a significant difference in the ability to recognize the concept of numbers between experimental classes given the modification method and the control class given the conventional method. The normalized gain test calculation shows that the N-Gain Score for the experimental class of 78.3% belongs to the very effective category. While the N-Gain Score of the control class was 52.9%, included in the less effective category.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas metode bermain sondah modifikasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung  pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode metode quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol non ekuivalen yaitu menggunakan dua kelas. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan uji normalitas dan homogenitas, kedua data menunjukkan kenormalan dan variansnya homogen karena semua signifikasinya lebih besar dari 0,05. Data penelitian ini memiliki nilai signifikasi 2-tailed  0,02 yang artinya kurang dari 0.05, maka data tersebut memiliki perbedaan yang  cukup signifikan pada kemampuan minat berrhitung antara kelas eksperimen yang diberi metode sondah modifikasi dan kelas kontrol yang diberi metode konvensional. Perhitungan uji gain ternormalisasi menunjukkan bahwa N-Gain Score untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,3% termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat efektif.  Sementara N-Gain Score kelas control sebesar 52,9% termasuk ke dalam kategori kurang efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the traditional game that can develop mathematical logical intelligence of children aged 5-6 years. The types of traditional games applied in this study to develop mathematical logical intelligence of children aged 5-6 years are congklak and crank. The research method that will be used is descriptive quantitative, the process of collecting and extracting data in this study uses complementary methods of observation, interviews, and supporting documents. The population in this study were students in one of the Kank-kindergarten in Cimahi City with a sample of 49 children from class A and 48 students from class B, data were analyzed using SPSS related statistics to obtain a picture of the results of mathematical logical intelligence development in each type traditional game. The results of this study concluded that the data showed the development of mathematical logical intelligence of children aged 5-6 years using traditional congklak games had higher results in children in the development of mathematical logical intelligence compared to using traditional crank.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan permainan tradisional yang dapat mengembangkan kecerdasan logis  matematis  anak  usia 5-6 tahun. Jenis permainan tradisional yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan logis matematis anak usia 5-6 tahun adalah congklak dan engklek. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan deskriptif kuantitatif, proses  pengumpulan  dan penggalian  data  dalam  penelitian  ini menggunakan  metode  yang  saling melengkapi  yaitu  observasi, wawancara,  dan  dokumen pendukung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa di salah satu Taman Kank-kanak di Kota Cimahi dengan sampelnya yaitu 49 orang anak dari kelas A dan 48 orang siswa dari kelas B, data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS terkait  statistik untuk memperoleh gambaran hasil perkembangan kecerdasan logis matematis  pada  setiap  jenis permainan tradisional. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa data menunjukan  pengembangan kecerdasan logis matematis anak usia 5-6  tahun  menggunakan  permainan tradisonal  congklak  memiliki  hasil yang  lebih  tinggi  pada  anak  dalam pengembangan  kecerdasan logis matematis  dibandingkan menggunakan  permainan  tradisional engklek.

Abstract

Cognitive abilities are thinking skills that have the knowledge, intelligence and relationships of students with their environment. Effective learning for early childhood education, needs to be supported by a conducive learning environment and atmosphere, through play activities. To accustom children to think critically and creatively in solving a problem, researchers used a monopoly game media to develop cognitive abilities in problem solving in children aged 5-6 years in group B of Elektrika Kindergarten. The study was conducted by quasi-pretest and posttest experimental methods in the experimental and control groups. The results showed that the experimental class was 34,167% while the control was 20,875%. This increase was also seen from the results of the percentage value in the N-gain test with a value of 29.142% in the experiments and controls of 20.571%. This shows that the problem solving ability of groups whose learning uses media monopoly is better than groups that use ordinary learning.

Abstract

This study discusses the low learning interest of children in group B in one kindergarten in Bandung.This study uses the playing method using educational games. The purpose of this research is to know the use of educational game tools to increase the interest of learning Children in Group B. This research is a class action research conducted with twice the research cycle. The study subject amounted to 14 children consisting of 7 males and 7 females. Based on the results The study gained a 36% increase cycle results in cycle II to 79%. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning interest of children can be improved through the educational game tools in group B.Penelitian ini membahas tentang rendahnya minat belajar anak pada kelompok B di salah satu TK di Bandung. Penelitian ini memakai metode bermain dengan menggunakan alat permainan edukatif (APE). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan alat permainan edukatif  untuk meningkatkan minat belajar anak di Kelompok B. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dengan dua kali siklus penelitian. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 14 anak terdiri dari 7 laki-laki dan 7  perempuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil siklus I 36% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 79%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa minat belajar anak dapat ditingkatkan melalui alat permainan edukatif di kelompok B.

Abstract

The ability of Science will be very needed by children, remembering that children have lived in modern times where all things in their environment are related to Science, such as Rain, Television, Computers, Plant Growth and others. It does not even rule out the possibility that in the years to come not a computer is needed but the creative abilities of a child, the ability, analyzing problems, solving problems, facing problems are needed by children, therefore it is very important to learn or introduce Science Knowledge to children. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method in which there are experimental and control classes that are investigated regarding their scientific knowledge by using a scientific approach to the experimental class and ordinary learning for the control class. To find out the results of the study, statistical calculations were carried out including the normality test, the homogeneity test, and the two average difference test. So the results obtained are that science learning that uses a scientific approach is better than ordinary learning.Kemampuan Sains akan sangat dibutuhkan anak mengingat bahwa anak sudah hidup pada zaman atau era modern dimana semua hal yang berada dilingkungannya berkaitan dengan Sains, seperti Hujan, Televisi, Komputer, Pertumbuhan Tanaman serta yang lainnya. Bahkan tidak menutup kemungkinan pada tahun-tahun yang akan datang bukan komputer yang dibutuhkan melainkan kemampuan kreatif seorang anak tersebut, kemampuan ,menganalisa masalah, memecahkan masalah, menghadapi masalah sangat dibutuhkan anak, oleh karena itu sangatlah penting untuk membelajarkan atau mengenalkan Pengetahuan Sains kepada anak. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dimana terdapat kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yang diteliti mengenai pengetahuan sainnya dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik untuk kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran biasa untuk kelas kontrol. Untuk mengetahui hasil dari penelitian maka dilakukan perhitungan statistik yang diantaranya adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata. Sehingga hasil yang didapatkan adalah bahwa pembelajaran sains yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the application of learning science experiments to the ability to solve problems in early childhood. Because the ability to solve children's problems has not developed optimally, during the learning process it can be seen that the teacher's role is more centered on the teacher not on the child. Learning more often uses the lecture method and the provision of worksheets (LKA). Cognitive is one of the important developments for children, one of which is problem solving. Science experiments are learning media that have a function to improve the ability to solve early childhood problems. Therefore the researchers used research using a quasi-experimental method which aims to see the results of the application of experimental learning by using treatment in the experimental class while the control class was not given any treatment. this is proven by using the t-test independent statistical calculations showing the value of p value (0.002 <0.05) so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This is stated to have significant results from the application of science experiments using celery to the ability to solve problems in early childhood class B. It can be concluded that the experimental method is a way of learning that is given to children in the experimental process that is happening when learning takes place.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil dari penerapan pembelajaran eksperimen sains terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah pada anak usia dini. Karena kemampuan memecahkan masalah anak belum berkembang secara optimal, pada saat proses pembelajaran maka dapat dilihat bahwa peran guru lebih berpusat pada guru bukan pada anak. Pembelajaran lebih sering mengunakan metode ceramah dan pemberian lembar kerja (LKA). Kognitif adalah salah satu perkembangan yang penting untuk anak salah satunya pemecahan masalah. Eksperimen sains merupakan media pembelajaran yang memiliki fungsi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah anak usia dini. Maka dari itu peneliti menggunakan penelitian menggunakan metiode kuasi eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk melihat hasil penerapan pembelajaran eksperimen dengan menggunakan treatment pada kelas eksperimen sedangkan pada kelas kontrol tidak diberi perlakuan apapun. hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan menggunakan perhitungan statistik uji t independent menunjukan nilai p value (0,002<0,05) sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal tersebut dinyatakan memiliki hasil yang signifikan dari penerapan  eksperimen sains menggunakan tanaman seledri terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah pada anak usia dini kelas B. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode eksperimen adalah suatu cara pembelajaran yang diberikan pada anak dalam proses percobaan yang anak dapat mengamati suatu proses yang sedang terjadi pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

Empathy is the ability of someone to put themselves in the position of others, to understand the views and feelings of people or to experience what the person experienced. Storytelling method is a way of delivering the learning done orally and by engineered by the storyteller of movement and body expression, the fairy tale has a specific meaning that is something related to the world of fantasy.the empathy ability of children of A group Bustanul Arifin Kindergarten is still low. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of the improvement of empathy ability of children through the application of storytelling method. The research was done by research method of class action of this research data collected through observation and documentation of data which have been collected analyzed by description.In accordance with the results of the research we have analyzed and it can be concluded that the development of empathy of Group A children from the number of children 25 consisting of 12 males and 13 girls in fact has increased, this is derived from the final result after the implementation of the action on cycle 2 which can be explained from each number of children in the category of BB as many as 3 children, in the MB category, as many as 7 children, in the category of BSH, as many as 11 children, and on BB category, a number of 4 children.

Abstract

Speaking skills are very important for an early child. The ability to speak isa verbal form of communication that is used to communicate smoothly So that other people can understand what children are up to.But most early children still have trouble speaking.Many of the factors behind it, one of which is the lack of creativity of the suspended teacher to provide The stimulus in children is applying an attractive learning method for early childhood.One method of learning that can be used is the method of chain message play.It USES a class action research method with a model of the kemmis and tagart cycles. Research subject is child group b 15 of them. Based on a pediatric research with the structure of infant speech 13%, cycle I 27% and cycle ii 66%. From the data gained it could be referenced that child's speech level can be improved through a chain message game.may add a full count of the child’s vovabulary from information received in sentences or words,so that the child’s speaking skills can be trained and can communicate with the environment. So the ability to talk a child can improved.

Abstract

This study uses a quasi-experimental method conducted. This research is based on findings in the field of learning to count for young children who are not quite right, playing with numbers is a new method used to make it easier for children to follow arithmetic, using fingers children tend to be more interested and passionate in learning to count, play this is done very simply starting with introducing fingers, numerical symbols, and fine motor and gross motor activities in early childhood. The purpose of this study is in accordance with the findings in the field that how to learn to count children is less effective, so researchers try to provide a new method that is the method of playing the number fingers to make it easier for the numeric fingers to make it easier for children to learn to play counting. The ability of children in counting after knowing the method of finger playing this number is improved better than before using the method of finger play these numbers can be seen from the results of the study before being given the results obtained 31,7500 while after giving treatment by researchers the results obtained are 32.0625.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment dilaksanakan di. Penelitian ini didasari oleh temuan di lapangan pada pembelajaran bermain berhitung pada anak usia dini yang kurang tepat, bermain jari angka adalah metode baru yang digunakan untuk memudahkan anak dalam mengikuti berhitung, dengan menggunakan jari anak anak cenderung lebih tertarik dan semangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran berhitung, permainan ini dilakukan dengan sangat sederhana dimulai dengan mengenalkan jari tangan, simbol angka, dan kegiatan motorik halus dan motorik kasar pada anak usia dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sesuai hasil temuan di lapangan bahwa cara belajar berhitung anak kurang efektif sehingga peneliti mencoba memberikan metode baru yaitu metode bermain jari angka untuk lebih memudahkan jari angka untuk lebih memudahkan anak dalam proses pembelajaran bermain berhitung. Kemampuan anak dalam berhitung setelah mengenal metode bermain jari angka ini menjadi meningkat lebih baik dari sebelum menggunakan metode bermain jari angka tersebut hal ini terlihat dari hasil penelitian sebelum diberikan treatment diperoleh hasil 31.7500 sedangkan setelah pemberian treatment oleh peneliti diperoleh hasil 32.0625.
