Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of professional competencies in the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Tebat and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors. The background of this research is that teachers do not fully understand the independent curriculum and there is a need for professional competency development to understand the independent curriculum. The method used is qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The population in this study is all teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Tebat which is 26 people. The sample was selected using a sample extraction technique, namely purposive sampling, namely Islamic Religious Education Teachers who teach in grade 7 and are involved in the implementation of the independent curriculum. The results of the study show that the development of teachers' professional competencies at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Tebat is carried out through various efforts such as participating in training, training, workshops, seminars, and involvement in the learning community (KOMBEL). The supporting factors found were the support of the school and facilities. Obstacles found include economy, time constraints and high workload

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the process of instilling religious moral values in early childhood (AUD) through the use of dice game media as a learning aid at RA Muslimat Al-Washliyah Damuli Pekan. The background of this research is based on the importance of shaping children's character and morality from an early age, which is a primary foundation in forming personality and noble character in the future. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and the head of RA, as well as documentation of learning activities. The dice game media are creatively modified by including religious symbols, commands for goodness, and educational images that are relevant to Islamic values. Research results show that the use of dice games in learning is very effective in attracting children's interest, increasing active participation, and accelerating their understanding of religious moral concepts such as honesty, trustworthiness, helping each other, and politeness. Teachers also find it easier to deliver material interactively, enjoyably, and without monotony. Children appear more enthusiastic and exhibit positive behavioral changes, both at school and at home.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at MIS Al Washliyah Bandar Durian through the implementation of the cooperative learning method Card Sort using picture media. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 14 third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the Card Sort method significantly improved students’ learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of mastery learning was only 28.57%, which increased to 64.29% in cycle I and reached 92.86% in cycle II. This improvement indicates that learning through the Card Sort method made students more active, motivated, and better able to understand the concept of arithmetic operations through the activity of sorting picture cards. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Card Sort method with picture media is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of early childhood students to memorize Asmaul Husna through the implementation of the singing method at TK Nusantara, Sonomartani Village, Kualuh Hulu District. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 10 children from group B at TK Nusantara. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively to determine the improvement in children’s ability to memorize Asmaul Husna. The results showed that the use of the singing method significantly improved the children’s ability to memorize Asmaul Husna. In the first cycle, the average mastery level reached 48.75%, while in the second cycle it increased to 78.75%. This improvement indicates that through singing, children found it easier to remember, pronounce correctly according to makhraj, tajwid, and fashohah, and were able to memorize without the teacher’s assistance. Therefore, the singing method is proven to be an effective and enjoyable approach to enhancing memorization skills of Asmaul Husna while fostering children’s love for Islamic values from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to read Hijaiyah letters among early childhood students in Group B at TK Al-Amin Labuhanbatu Utara through the use of the letter card game method. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 30 children divided into two classes, B1 and B2. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The results showed a significant improvement in the children’s ability to read Hijaiyah letters from the pre-cycle to the second cycle. In the pre-cycle, most children were in the not yet developed and starting to develop categories, but after the implementation of the letter card game, their reading skills increased to the developing as expected and very well developed categories in the second cycle. In conclusion, the application of the letter card game method is effective and enjoyable in improving the ability to read Hijaiyah letters among early childhood students at TK Al-Amin Labuhanbatu Utara.

Abstract

This study aims to improve young children's interest in reading the Qur'an through the use of recycled materials (paper) as a learning medium at PAUD Inayah Hakiki, Sungai Raja Village, NA IX–X District, Labuhanbatu Utara Regency. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were early childhood students, while data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed an increase in children's interest and ability to read the Qur'an after the implementation of recycled material media. In Cycle I, the children's ability levels were 35% fluent, 15% moderate, and 50% low, whereas in Cycle II they improved to 40% fluent, 15% moderate, and 45% low. This improvement indicates that learning using recycled materials made children more interested, active, and enthusiastic in recognizing and pronouncing hijaiyah letters correctly according to their articulation points. Therefore, the use of recycled materials proved effective in enhancing young children’s interest in reading the Qur'an, offering a creative and engaging alternative learning strategy in early childhood education settings.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and formulate the knowledge system of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as a model of Nusantara Islamic epistemology relevant to the development of contemporary Islamic education. This research employs a literature review method, examining recent scholarly works on Islamic boarding schools, classical Islamic epistemology, and modern Islamic educational theory. Through a critical analysis of this literature, the research identifies that the knowledge system of Islamic boarding schools is constructed through a combination of the scholarly authority of the kiai (Islamic scholars), the sanad tradition, the study of yellow books (kitab kuning), the practice of bahtsul masā'il (religious discourse), and the integration of three epistemological approaches: bayani (textual), burhani (rational-empirical), and irfani (spiritual-intuitive). These findings demonstrate that Islamic boarding schools function not only as centers for the transmission of classical Islamic knowledge but also as institutions capable of producing new knowledge products contextualized to the socio-religious dynamics of Indonesian society. The results confirm that Islamic boarding school epistemology makes a significant contribution to the construction of an Nusantara Islamic epistemology characterized by moderation, local wisdom, and adaptability to modernity. Theoretically, this research strengthens the position of Islamic boarding schools as epistemic sources distinct from Middle Eastern models of scholarship and modern-secular educational paradigms. Practically, this epistemological model can serve as a basis for developing a more relevant, integrative Islamic education curriculum oriented toward developing spiritual character and 21st-century competencies.

Abstract

The innovation game of geometric engkle is a modified game. This game can develop children's creativity. Creativity is very important for the development stage, because it has a good level of creativity. Then the child will be easier to solve the problems that occur to him. Because creative children have various ideas in themselves. This study aims to determine whether the Overview of the innovation of the geometric engkle game can develop the creativity of children aged 5-6 years. The method used is Descriptive Qualitative. The subjects of the study were 5 children of Kindergarten B. Using primary data with observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of the study showed that the innovation game of geometric engkle succeeded in developing children's creativity. Children become better at producing new images and can recognize geometric shapes and colors correctly. This game is very effective in stimulating children's thinking skills. The researcher gave a suggestion. To teachers to make more efforts in learning activities related to traditional games in ancient times and combine the level of creativity possessed by each child. Because with monitoring, we as teachers can find out the development of their creativity.

Abstract

Concentration ability is important for children's cognitive development, but early childhood generally has a short attention span. Thus, educators need to design effective learning strategies, such as learning while playing methods. This study addresses the low concentration of early childhood children with Pombar media (pom-pom with pictures), a colorful game with animal pictures to attract attention and train concentration through color matching activities. Using a quantitative descriptive approach with a pre-test and post-test design, this study was conducted on 15 children aged 4-5 years at RA Al-Mustaqim Bringin Bendo Sidoarjo. The research instruments include observation and documentation. The purpose of this study was to improve concentration and recognize colors, distinguish colors, and adjust colors on Pombar. The results showed that there was progress in children's concentration after using Pombar, with a percentage increase of 61.33% in indicators and 61.34% in minutes. This proves that Pombar is effective in improving children's concentration.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning at SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. With a qualitative approach, this study analyzes school readiness in terms of infrastructure, human resources, policies, and the use of AI applications such as Canva, Puzzle Maker, and Google Classroom in PAI learning. The results show that schools already have basic infrastructure (bandwidth of 100 Mbps) and teachers with adequate digital literacy, although AI adoption still varies. Key challenges include budget constraints, lack of operational guidance, and the need to supervise the use of students' gadgets. This research makes an academic contribution as a pioneering study on the integration of AI in high school level PAI in developing regions, while offering practical recommendations for strengthening teacher training, school policies, and collaboration with stakeholders. The findings of the study underscore the potential of AI in improving the quality of interactive and contextual PAI learning, without neglecting Islamic values.
