Abstract

Leucorrhea is a common biological condition experienced by women, categorized medically into physiological (normal) and pathological (abnormal) types. This phenomenon often raises confusion and concern, especially regarding its implications on Islamic acts of worship, such as prayer (sholat), which requires ritual purity (thaharah) as a core prerequisite. Thus, understanding leucorrhea from a medical standpoint is essential to distinguish its types, as well as examining how Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) interprets this condition in relation to the validity of worship. This study adopts a descriptive-qualitative approach through literature review, analyzing medical texts and classical to contemporary fiqh sources. It focuses on three main areas: the definition and classification of leucorrhea in medical science, scholarly Islamic views regarding its purity and impact on ritual practices, and a correlative analysis to synthesize both perspectives. The study finds diverse opinions among scholars on whether leucorrhea is considered impure and whether it nullifies ablution, with views often influenced by the medical characteristics of the discharge. By applying the maqasid al-shariah framework prioritizing the preservation of religion and health this research proposes balanced and wise solutions. Women experiencing physiological leucorrhea may continue to perform their religious duties without compromising their spiritual or physical well-being. It is hoped that this study serves as a practical and scholarly reference for Muslim women, religious authorities, medical professionals, and the wider Muslim community.

Abstract

The recurring phenomenon of repentance is a common spiritual dynamic among Muslims, where a person repents but then repeats the same sin. This study aims to analyze the educational values contained in the lectures of Ustadz Adi Hidayat and Buya Yahya regarding this phenomenon. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a religious discourse analysis approach. Primary data was obtained from videos and transcripts of the sermons of the two figures accessed via YouTube, while secondary data came from Islamic and educational literature. The results of the study indicate that both view repeated repentance not as a spiritual failure, but as an ongoing process of self-education. Ustadz Adi Hidayat emphasizes the importance of knowledge, steadfastness, and self-control in the repentance process, while Buya Yahya highlights the value of divine compassion and sincerity in self-improvement. In conclusion, religious sermons can serve as a reflective educational tool that shapes character through values such as self-reflection, hope, responsibility, and resilience in facing one's weaknesses. These findings contribute to the development of a more humanistic and contextual Islamic education.

Abstract

Based on field experiences, the use of learning methods, especially reading strategies for hijaiyah letters for children with special needs, still relies on conventional methods and students face difficulties in receiving the lessons. The insufficient number of educators and the fact that their educational background is not from Special Education also become obstacles in the learning process. This research aims to understand the methods teachers use in teaching hijaiyah letters to children with special needs. This type of research is qualitative field research. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that the method used by teachers in teaching hijaiyah letters to hearing-impaired students employs the iqro’ method with individual strategies and the use of oral and sign language approaches. The use of this method has a fairly high effectiveness when applied to reading Hijaiyah letters for children with special needs.

Abstract

In the digital age, technology-based learning media such as YouTube are a potential alternative for improving the quality and appeal of Islamic Education (PAI) learning. This study aims to analyze the innovations in PAI learning presented on Hanum's YouTube channel using Rogers' Innovation Diffusion Theory, specifically relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability as the analytical framework. This study employs a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. Data were collected from educational videos on the Hanum channel that align with the PAI curriculum for junior high schools, have a minimum duration of five minutes, and include visual elements, narration, and educational presentation structure. The results indicate that the Hanum channel meets the five innovation characteristics outlined by Rogers: (1) relative advantage, through the presentation of material that is more interesting and interactive than conventional methods; (2) compatibility, with content that is relevant to the curriculum and students' psychological needs; (3) complexity, due to simple and easy-to-understand delivery; (4) trialability, as the videos can be used flexibly; and (5) observability, as seen in the effective visual structure and narrative that enhance students' understanding. Thus, the Hanum YouTube channel can be used as an innovative learning medium that supports the effectiveness and appeal of PAI learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This article discusses the educational value and role of Ki Marogan Mosque in Palembang as a significant heritage of Islamic history and culture in South Sumatra. It was founded by a cleric named Masagus Haji Abdul Hamid bin Masagus Haji Mahmud or nicknamed Kiai Marogan in the late 19th century. This mosque not only functions as a place of worship, but also a center of education, social, cultural, and religious tourism destinations. This research uses a literature study that traces the educational value, historical journey, architectural development, and functions of the Ki Marogan Mosque from time to time. The architecture of this mosque shows the acculturation of local culture with Arabic, Indian and Chinese influences. In addition, Ki Marogan's tomb complex located in the mosque area is the main attraction in the community's spiritual pilgrimage. In the modern context, the mosque continues to adapt by utilizing digitalization for historical preservation and Islamic propagation. The results show that Ki Marogan Mosque not only acts as a religious symbol, but also as a center for preserving local values, history, and Palembang cultural identity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy of internalizing Islamic values to foster students' religious moderation attitudes at SMP Mambaus Sholihin 7 Bintan, Riau Islands. The background of this research is based on the urgency of instilling moderate religious values to counter the spread of radicalism and intolerance, which have increasingly infiltrated the educational sphere. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, the school principal, and the school environment. The findings indicate that the internalization of Islamic values is carried out through active learning, exemplary conduct by teachers, religious extracurricular activities, and the creation of a conducive and religious school environment. Values such as tolerance, justice, peace, and patriotism are instilled consistently through both formal and informal approaches. The challenges identified include low student awareness of the importance of moderate attitudes, limited innovation in teaching methods, and the negative influence of social media and external environments. As solutions, the school enhances teacher training, strengthens collaboration with families and the community, and utilizes media to promote moderate Islamic values. This research affirms that Islamic religious education plays a strategic role in shaping inclusive and tolerant student character. The internalization of Islamic values in schools impacts not only the cognitive domain but also the affective and psychomotor aspects of students, ultimately fostering Muslim individuals with strong character who can live harmoniously in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Sufi concepts of sabr (patience) and ikhlas (sincerity) in the daily lives of students (santri) in an Islamic boarding school (pondok pesantren) environment. Patience and sincerity are central values in Sufism that are believed to shape strong spiritual character and enhance mental resilience in facing life's challenges. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted at a traditional Islamic boarding school in East Java. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with caregivers, teachers, and students, as well as documentation of daily pesantren activities. The findings show that the values of patience and sincerity are instilled through spiritual guidance such as wirid (repetitive prayer), Sufi book studies, and a culture of simple living. These values are also reflected in students’ attitudes toward duties, rules, and social interactions within the pesantren. In conclusion, the implementation of the concepts of sabr and ikhlas not only strengthens students’ spiritual character but also fosters a harmonious and conducive atmosphere in pesantren life. The study recommends incorporating Sufi-based approaches as a foundation for character development in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Religious extracurricular activities at MIS Islamiyah Londut are a method or process of instilling values derived from the teachings of Islam embraced by the students. These values are applied to shape the religious character of students who possess noble morals, righteous behavior, and ethics in accordance with Islamic teachings. This study uses a qualitative field method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in the research location, efforts to instill and even spread religious values are linked with planned and controlled religious activities. The forms of activities meant include the development of student competencies (scouting, martial arts, and Qur’an recitation) which serve as a means to instill religious values in religious extracurricular activities. The values that are formed include values of worship, trust, sincerity, a spirit of jihad, morality, and exemplary behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to see how the reading skills of the students in Group Learning (KB) Irsyadul Ulum Al-Washliyah Aek Kanopan concerning hijaiyah letters before and after using picture card media. The research design used is classroom action research (CAR) with 20 students from class B as subjects. Data collection in this study is done through observation, oral tests, and documentation in each cycle with the application of playing methods and letter card media, analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results obtained from the research indicate that students' ability to read hijaiyah letters can be improved through picture card media, as evidenced by the results of three cycles conducted by the researcher. The level of student ability in the pre-cycle was 10% in the fluent category, 20% in the moderate category, while the poor category was 70%. Meanwhile, the results of the first cycle after using picture card media showed that 80% of students were in the fluent category, 10% in the moderate category, and 10% in the poor category. Using picture card media will make it more interesting for students to want to learn to read hijaiyah letters.

Abstract

The Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is an approach that focuses on problem-solving as a way to enhance student learning outcomes. This research aims to review the effectiveness of the PBL model in improving student learning outcomes, as well as critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Based on the existing literature review, PBL has been proven to enhance student learning outcomes by making them more active in their learning, as they are directly involved in the problem-solving process relevant to real life. Additionally, PBL also develops collaboration and communication skills among students. However, the success of PBL implementation is influenced by various factors, such as teacher support, adequate school facilities, and parental support. Overall, PBL can improve student learning outcomes, both in academic aspects and life skills.Further research is needed to examine the application of PBL at various educational levels and subjects.
