Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Sufi (Tasawuf) values among students (santri) at Pondok Pesantren Sirajut Thalibin, Racek, Tiris, Probolinggo, in facing the challenges of globalization. In an era marked by rapid technological advancement and shifting cultural values, santri are often exposed to influences that may distance them from spiritual and moral foundations. This research focuses on how the pesantren instills Tasawuf teachings—such as sincerity (ikhlas), patience (sabr), reliance on God (tawakkul), and modest living (zuhud)—to strengthen the students' spiritual resilience. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that through daily practices like dhikr, structured spiritual training, and the integration of Tasawuf into the curriculum and social life, students develop strong moral character and are better equipped to navigate the complexities of modern life without losing their spiritual identity. The conclusion emphasizes that the internalization of Tasawuf values plays a vital role in shaping santri who are morally grounded, spiritually aware, and socially responsible in the face of globalization.

Abstract

This article explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic education from the perspective of the Qur'an, with a focus on ethics and efficiency. In the digital era, the use of AI has revolutionized learning methods through adaptive systems, virtual tutors, and data-driven dynamic curricula. However, such advancements also raise ethical challenges and potential dehumanization in education, especially within Islamic values that emphasize character and moral development. This study adopts a qualitative library research approach, analyzing relevant Qur’anic verses and contemporary Islamic educational literature. The findings indicate that AI offers significant opportunities to enhance learning efficiency but must be governed by the principles of trust, justice, and maqasid al-shari’ah. The Qur’an provides a firm ethical foundation to respond to technological developments while maintaining spiritual integrity. Therefore, AI-based learning in Islamic education should function as a supportive tool that strengthens the role of educators and fosters learners who are not only intellectually capable but also morally upright.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in instilling good morals in Early Childhood Education children at RA Al-Washliyah Bandar Durian. This research uses qualitative field techniques. The results show that the role of early childhood education teachers in instilling character includes: 1) the teacher as a demonstrator, that is, the teacher teaches how to perform ablution and guides children in performing dhuha prayers; 2) the teacher as a classroom manager, where outside of lessons the teacher organizes books scattered on the floor and during class helps form groups when children play while learning; 3) the teacher as a mediator or facilitator, whereby during the learning process children learn about hijaiyah letters, and the teacher provides images of hijaiyah letters and puppet shows; 4) The teacher as a motivator means the teacher uses rewards for disciplined children by giving star pictures on the board and hands, and then punishing children who are not disciplined by asking them to repent, and to donate every Friday. 5) The teacher as a model means the teacher provides an example of good behavior to children, so that by observing, the children will easily remember it.

Abstract

The background of this research is due to the lack of interest in learning among students. In fact, learning interest is a determining factor in achieving learning objectives. The research method used is the classroom action research method, by directly observing how the teacher conducts the learning process at MIN 2 Labuhanbatu Utara, particularly in class V, in efforts to improve learning outcomes through discovery learning. Additionally, to gather more information, the researcher used interview methods as a medium for collecting other information. The results of this study indicate that before using the discovery learning model on the theme of events in life, out of 30 students, only 23.33% or 7 students achieved passing grades, while 76.66% of students or 23 students did not. After using the discovery learning model, the number of students who have been able to fully understand the lesson material reaches 90% or 27 people, and only about 3 people or 10% have not yet understood the material. Therefore, it can be stated that the discovery learning model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rampant cases of bullying that occur in educational environments, including pesantren. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) forms of bullying experiences experienced by students at Pesantren Hidayatullah Tanjung Morawa, 2) social behavior of students who have experienced bullying, and 3) the relationship between experiences as victims of bullying and students' social behavior. This study used a correlational quantitative approach. The study population amounted to 288 students, with a sample of 32 students selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, and analyzed using the product moment correlation test. The results showed a significant positive relationship between experience as a victim of bullying and students' social behavior with a correlation value of 0.776 and a coefficient of determination of 0.602. This means that 60.2% of social behavior is influenced by the experience of bullying, while 39.8% is influenced by other factors. Common forms of bullying include physical, verbal, and nonverbal. This finding implies the importance of bullying prevention strategies and social behavior coaching in the pesantren environment.

Abstract

This study discusses the enhancement of psychomotor potential in early childhood through the practice of prayer at Nusantara Kindergarten in Kualuh Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Utara Regency. The problem of this research is formulated as how the psychomotor potential is assessed before implementing the practice of prayer. What is the process of executing the practice of prayer and how the psychomotor potential is after applying the practice of prayer. The results obtained in this study show that of the 15 samples of children studied, the average psychomotor potential observed in the pre-cycle was 13.33% (2 children), in cycle I it was 66.66% (10 children) who had developed psychomotor potential. Then in cycle II, there was an increase to 93.33% (14 children) who experienced an increase in psychomotor potential. This indicates that the practice of prayer is effective in enhancing the psychomotor potential of early childhood.

Abstract

The contextual approach is a teaching style that links the curriculum to real-world applications. One of the obstacles faced by students is the difficulty in distinguishing units of time. Therefore, this research utilizes a contextual approach. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 38 second-grade students from SD Al-Washliyah No. 83 Gunting Saga, North Labuhanbatu as subjects. The implementation of contextual learning strategies has proven beneficial in improving mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in the material of recognizing time. This is evidenced by the percentage of students' learning outcomes during the pre-cycle where only 11 students completed (28.94%) and 27 students were still not finished (71.60%). In the first cycle of implementing contextual learning, there was an increase in student learning outcomes, with 26 students (68.42%) categorized as completed and 12 students (31.58%) categorized as incomplete. Meanwhile, in the second cycle of implementing contextual learning, the number of students who completed increased to 34 students (89.47%) with 4 students still incomplete (10.53%). Thus, the contextual learning strategy has been proven to significantly improve student learning outcomes. This study also found that through contextual learning, students were more engaged in the learning process and could apply the material to real-life situations.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of active learning methods, specifically the Think-Pair-Share model, in improving students' critical thinking skills at MI Darul Ulum Al Musthofa. Active learning is expected to encourage students to be more involved in the learning process and develop critical thinking skills needed in everyday life. The method used is a qualitative approach with interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of cooperative learning through the Think-Pair-Share model is effective in improving students' participation and critical thinking skills. Students are more active in discussions, asking questions, and expressing their opinions. However, there are challenges in terms of differences in student confidence levels, where some students who are more shy tend to be reluctant to participate in group discussions. Teachers as facilitators play an important role in creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting students to be more confident. These findings indicate that active learning, especially cooperative learning, can enrich students' social and cognitive skills, while contributing to the development of active learning theories that are more responsive to students' individual needs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence of the Teacher Centered Learning Model has on the learning outcomes of Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 2 Sosopan, Padang Lawas Regency. This type of research is quantitative, which is a research method using standardized measurements or using a data measurement scale. The population used is all class VIII in SMP Negeri 2 Sosopan, Padang Lawas Regency. The sampling technique was Simple Random Sampling so that the sample in this study was class VIII-1 which amounted to 34 students. Data collection techniques are tests, questionnaires and documentation. The hypothesis test used is the Simple Linear Regression test. From the test results hypothesis obtained a P-Value value of 0.014 so that the regression coefficient is 0.014 ≤ 0.05. Then the Teacher Centered Learning Model affects the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education. Big influence of the Teacher Centered Learning Model on Learning Outcomes seen from the Determination (R Square) of 0.92 or 92% affects the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education. So that it can betaken conclusion that the hypothesis is accepted “The Teacher Centered Learning Model effects the Learning Outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 2 Sosopan, Padang Lawas Regency.”

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of Islamic Education teachers in instilling discipline in students' worship. This study uses field research methods with a qualitative approach. The study subjects are the school principal and Islamic Education teachers from grades I to VI. This research was conducted at Al-Washliyah 83 Gunting Saga Elementary School. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique involves data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results show that the role of teachers in instilling worship discipline involves conveying to students through habituation, which is everything done repeatedly that can enhance individual awareness as a servant obedient to their Creator and can form students with good character. Furthermore, the teacher serves as a role model. The teacher becomes the best example for their students and strives to demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviors. The factors that support students' discipline in worship are the awareness that grows from within the students, motivation and support, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and a good family environment. Meanwhile, the hindering factors include a lack of understanding of Islamic teachings, environmental influences, excessive use of mobile phones, and the emergence of a lazy attitude.
