Abstract

The test instrument given by the teacher to students has not required students to think at a high level in mathematics, the important thing is that students must be familiar with questions that require High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) to compete with other countries which can be seen in the TIMSS and PISA scores. The purpose of this study was to determine the students' high-order mathematical thinking skills, as well as to determine the validity, reliability, difficulty level, and differentiating power of the High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) oriented test instrument. This developmental research uses the ADDIE type.. There were 57 students who were used as subjects in this study. The results showed that 15 questions that were considered successful and valid were developed, this is the average score of the test instrument assessment by experts of 91% and the validity of each test item is declared "valid" because tcount ≥ ttable. The reliability of the test instrument for each package of questions was rated as reliable in the high category. In the analysis of the level of difficulty, it appears that the results are in the easy and medium categories. In the analysis of discriminatory power, it appears that the results are quite good and good. The average results of students' high-order mathematical thinking skills are insufficient category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggambarkan secara deskriptif bagaimana kemampuan siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan masalah berkaitan dengan kegiatan merepresentasikan gambar, simbol, dan verbal pada materi segitiga. Penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu 1) penentuan subjek penelitian, 2) penentuan instrumen penelitian, 3) pemberian soal kepada siswa, 3) pengumpulan data penelitian, 4) analisis data hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada aspek representasi verbal, kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dalam menerjemahkan gambar ke dalam bentuk verbal sudah dimiliki siswa dengan semua tingkat kemampuan. Sedangkan kemampuan representasi siswa dalam mengungkapkan ekspresi verifikasi masih kurang. Pada representasi gambar, siswa dengan semua tingkat kemampuan sudah mampu mengungkapkan istilah yang berkaitan dengan gambar, sedangkan pada proses menggambarkan suatu gambar menggunakan kemampuan representasinya hanya siswa kemapuan tinggi yang mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan. Pada aspek kemampuan representasi simbolik, ketiga siswa sudah mampu mengoperasikan bentuk aljabar, meskipun pada salah satu siswa kurang teliti dalam proses penyelesaiannya yang mengakibatkan hasil yang dihitung tidak benar

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini sebagai upaya untuk mendeksripsikan hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi SPLTV yang dilihat berdasarkan langkah-langkah Teori Polya. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih sebanyak 6 orang dari 30 siswa total kelas asal. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran instrumen tes dan kegiatan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menjabarkan, dimana : 1) siswa pada kategori sedang dan rendah masih balum mampu mencapai pemahaman mengenai masalah yang disajikan soal, 2) sebagian besar siswa pada kategori tinggi saja yang mampu mencapai tahapan ini dan membuat strategi untuk mempermudah dalam mendapatkan hasil penyelesaian dari soal yang disajikan, 3) Kurangnya ketelitian, kemampuan pemahaman materi yang kurang dan tidak melaksanakannya tahap merencanakan penyelesaian menjadi faktor utama siswa melakukan kesalahan pada tahapan ini, dan 4) masih sangat jarang dilakukan siswa baik pada kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah.

Abstract

Habits of Mind memiliki peranan penting dalam proses pembelajaran dan perkembangan individu dalam memecahkan masalah pada pembelajaran kalkulus. Kebiasaan ini yang menjadi akar kekuatan mahasiswa dalam melatih kemampuan mereka dalam menemukan solusi dari permasalahan yang dihadapi khususnya pada pembelajaran kalkulus. Dimasa pandemi ini pola pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengalami perubahan, dari secara tatap muka menjadi daring (dalam jaringan). Habits of mind yang baik diharapkan dapat mengantarkan kesuksesan mahasiswa pada pembelajaran kalkulus di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil habits of mind mahasiswa prodi pendidikan matematika pada pembelajaran kalkulus di masa pandemi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa prodi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu mahasiswa yang mengontrak mata kuliah Kalkulus Diferensial di tahun akademik 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 34 orang.. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner HoM yang disebar secara online. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa habits of mind mahasiswa prodi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon berada pada kategori baik dengan persentase 71,76%.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa handout bangun datar berbasis etnomatematika untuk siswa kelas VII SMP.Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian dan Pengembangan (research and development), proses pengembangan handout dengan menggunakan model 4D yaitu define, design, develop, disseminate. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kevalidan pada handout bangun datar berbasis etnomatematika untuk siswa kelas VII SMP.Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi di peroleh skor rata-rata sebesar 80% kriteria Valid. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media di peroleh skor rata-rata sebesar 84,61% dengan kriteria Sangat Valid. Hasil validasi oleh ahli bahasa di peroleh skor rata-rata sebesar 80% dengan kriteria Valid. Hal ini dapat di simpulkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan mempunyai kriteria valid sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar.

Abstract

The case of Covid-19 affects the world of education. One of the consequences is that learning to be carried out online is decided by the Indonesian government. However, in learning, this strategy is burdensome for learners. The goal of this case study is to find out student opinions on online applications are used, what their challenges are, and what online learning expectations of students are. This research uses a questionnaire to find out student opinions using a Google form. Ninety-two students from various universities were the number of respondents. To get results, the questionnaires that have been collected are evaluated manually. The outcome of this study is that most of the software used by lecturers was unable to enhance the comprehension of the content being learned by students. During this pandemic, the hope of students in learning is to increase discussion time and time to complete assignments, not too many assignments, and the strategy of the university to have internet quota buying subsidies

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to achieve a level of validity and, practicality and effectiveness of learning materials made in LKPD or student worksheets based on discovery learning learning to increase the mathematically critical thinking power of learners. The study utilize addie design models composed of analysis stages, design development, implementation (application) and evaluation (completion). Research ordinances or methods used in information gathering (data) of a mathematically critical and analytical ability test. Viia class learners are subject to extensive field tests and viib class learners are subject to limited field tests. As for the accepted category in this study: (1) valid, by the acquisition of validity by 3 validator (materials, media experts and mathematicians) with an overall value value of 80,81%, (2) very practical, based on the acquisition of educational responses ata wide field test and limited field tests with an average of 91.35, (3) effective, drawn from the learner's test with an average of 77.08%. Hence, the conclusion can be drawn, is that the lto which it is developed meets a valid category, is both practical and effective for use in mathematical learning.

Abstract

The background of this research is that students still do not understand the concept of determining number patterns, especially during Distance Learning (DL). The purpose of this study was to determine the students' conceptual understanding ability and to find out how teachers teach number pattern material during DL. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. This research was carried out at MTs Pertiwi Kuningan for the academic year 2020/2021 in class VIII A as many as 16 students and a mathematics teacher. The data sources for this research are the results of written tests and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in the high category is 45%, the medium category is 40% and the low category is 15%. The results of this study also showed that the students' abilities from each indicator were as follows: 1) students in the high category were able to do all the questions correctly, 2) students in the medium category were able to work on 6 items or mastered 6 indicators of conceptual understanding ability; 3) students with low indicators can work on 4 questions or master 4 indicators of concept understanding ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' mathematics anxiety and student learning outcomes after using the PMB IT module. The type of this research is Pre-Experiment with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The instruments used are student mathematics anxiety questionnaire sheets and student response questionnaires, while student learning outcomes can be seen after the UAS exam. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. For data processing, the writer used SPSS 16 software and Microsoft Excel 2013. The students' mathematical anxiety data obtained were analyzed descriptively and student learning outcomes data were processed using Inferential Statistics One-Sample T-Test. The results showed that the level of students' mathematics anxiety after using the PMBIT module decreased by an average of 11.55. While the level of students' mathematics anxiety after using the module in the low, medium, and high categories, respectively, was 40.5%, 56.8%, and 2.7%. Furthermore, there is an increase in student mathematics learning outcomes using the PMBIT Module with sig. 0.029 and a mean of 81.59

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui serta menganalisis aspek kemampuan komunikasi siswa MTs Quran Kisaran pada materi segiempat. Sample yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa dari populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Quran Kisaran di ambil secara acak. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deksriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian adalah soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematik berupa 3 butir soal essay serta Wawancara. Hasil tes yang telah dilaksanakan pada beberapa soal komunikasi matematik menunjukan hasil cukup baik . Terlihat dari presentase skor per butir soal yaitu soal no.1 diperoleh presentase 72,5% Untuk indikator dalam Menyatakan situasi atau ide-ide matematika ke dalam gambar. Soal no.2 dengan perolehan presentase 77,5% untuk indikator Menjelaskan secara tertulis gambar ke dalam ide-ide matematika dan Soal no.3 dengen perolehan presentase 53,33% untuk indikator Menjelaskan prosedur penyelesaian. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan komunikasi siswa MTs Quran sudah cukup baik dan tergolong tinggi karena terdapat dua indikator soal dalam kategori tinggi > 66% .
