Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik hambatan belajar siswa kelas 6 SD pada materi volume dan luas permukaan dari kubus dan balok. Hambatan belajar yang difokuskan pada peneliti yaitu hambatan ontogenik, hambatan epistemologi, dan hambatan didaktik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 3 siswa dari jenis kemampuan yang berbeda, yaitu kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Sampel berasal dari salah satu sekolah dasar di kota Medan. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes soal berkaitan dengan volume dan luas permuakaan dari kubus dan balok serta wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapatnya hambatan belajar siswa dari hambatan ontogenik, epistemologi, dan didaktik. Hambatan epistemologi terjadi pada siswa kemampuan sedang dan rendah, sedangkan hambatan ontogenik terjadi pada siswa yang memiliki kemampuan rendah, dan hambatan didaktik dialami oleh seluruh siswa (kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah). Perlunya rancangan  desain bahan ajar yang disusun sesuai dengan hambatan belajar yang dialami siswa, sehingga dapat meminimalisir kesulitan siswa dan menjadikan pembelajaran menarik dan bermakna.

Abstract

Research on the use of Quizizz media has been carried out by several researchers, but has a different object. This study will focus on the interest in learning mathematics in online learning of students in Pohuwato Regency. The focus of this research is based on the problem of the lack of interest in learning mathematics in Pohuwato Regency, especially when online learning began to be applied during the Covid-19 pandemic. o overcome this problem, it is necessary to have an online learning support media in the form of Quizizz which is integrated with the online learning model of blended learning that focuses on independent learning, namely the flex model that can effectively increase students' interest in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Quzziz integrated with the flex model in increasing interest in learning mathematics in online learning. The research method used in this study is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design model. The results of the pre-test and post-test have a positive correlation of 0,920 = 92%, the value of sig. = 0,000 < 0,050 and a positive value of t-count = -31,770 > t-table = 2,101 based the conclusion that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so that the use of quizizz  integrated flex model is effective in increasing interest in learning mathematics in online learning of students in Pohuwato Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome problems in learning Mathematics. The goal is that Mathematics learning can be more adapted to the cultural context of students and society, and Mathematics can be more easily understood because it is no longer perceived as something 'foreign' by students and society. Mathematics learning really needs to provide content/bridging between Mathematics in the everyday world based on local culture and school Mathematics. The implementation of ethnomathematics based on the Gumbregan tradition of Gunungkidul culture in building materials was carried out on fifth grade students of SDN Baran I, Gunungkidul in learning activities for Mathematics subject for grade V for the academic year 2021/2022. The subjects were fifth graders at SDN Baran I Rongkop, with a total of 22 students, consisting of 9 male students and 13 female students. The implementation of ethnomathematical learning based on the local culture of Gunungkidul, the Gumbregan tradition in building materials, can increase students' activeness and enthusiasm in the Mathematics subject of class V SDN Baran I. Students can recognize and preserve the local culture of the Gunungkidul region, namely the Gumbregan tradition.

Abstract

This research is development research that was held on in August 2021 and aims to produce a circle learning media based on Geogebra Applets to reinforce the creative thinking ability of students in class XI of Senior High School. The development method used in this research is the first three steps in the 4-D development model consisting of: (1) define; (2) designs; (3) develop and limited to validity and practicality tests. Data at the define stage was collected using the documentation method, while at the development stage it was collected using a content validity questionnaire and student response questionnaires which were then analyzed descriptively by statistical analysis. This study gives the results that: (1) the circle learning media based on Geogebra Applet that was developed, is very valid with an average score of 3.83; (2) students gave a very good response with a percentage of 86.48% of the circle learning media. These results indicate that the circle learning media based on the Geogebra Applet that was developed is valid and practical. This research is expected to be a reference for further research related to the development of learning media based on Geogebra Applet.

Abstract

Not all students can absorb the material well, therefore researchers are interested in conducting research related to how students obtain information based on their personality. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method, aims to describe students' conceptual understanding with sensing and intuition personality, with 2 subjects. Data collection techniques are tests and interviews. The test used is a personality test to select the subject. Furthermore, a concept understanding test was given to see his ability based on seven indicators of concept understanding, after that an interview was conducted to get more information about understanding the concept. The measurement of concept understanding uses the results of diagnostic tests, namely able, less able, and unable. Understanding the concept of personality sensing (S1), which is less capable of indicators of restating concepts, developing necessary and sufficient conditions, and using, utilizing, and choosing certain procedures but being able to give examples and non-examples of indicators, presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, and apply concepts to problem solving. The emerging trend is to practically answer questions, focus on results, be specific and detailed in explanations. Careful in processing information and making decisions, as well as careful, realistic and concrete. The majority of indicators are understood by S1 so S1 tends to understand the concept. Understanding the concept of students with intuition personality (S2), which is less capable on indicators of developing necessary and sufficient conditions and using, utilizing, and choosing certain procedures but able on indicators of restating concepts, classifying objects based on their properties, giving examples and non examples, presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, and applying concepts to problem solving. The tendencies that emerge are imaginative, abstract, conceptual and answer in their own way. See the linkages and focus on the process. The majority of indicators are understood by masters, so masters tend to understand concepts.

Abstract

Lecturers of the Mathematics Education study program at Tidar University are required to use ELITA in online learning. ELITA is a learning media with a Moodle-based platform. Although the ELITA feature is complete, many lecturers are not optimal in using it. Lecturers only provide pdf material without considering the mastery of students' basic abilities. So we need a learning module that can emphasize the mastery of understanding mathematical concepts. In this study, a Kumon-based e-module with the help of Moodle was applied. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the Kumon-based e-module with the help of Moodle. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling, obtained by class 01 students in the odd semester probability subject for the 2021/2022 academic year. Prior to implementation, the validity of the Kumon-based e-module assisted by Moodle was analyzed. The e-module is declared to be very valid both in terms of material and media aspects. The research data was obtained through a student's mathematical concept understanding ability test. The final data were analyzed using the proportion test. Based on the results of the study, the Kumon-based e-module with the help of Moodle was effectively used in learning the Probability course on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya beberapa aktivitas etnomatematika seperti aktivitas membilang, aktivitas mengukur, aktivitas merancang bangun, aktivitas menentukan arah dan lokasi, aktivitas bermain hal tersebut ada pada kearifan lokal khususnya di Kota Pekalongan yaitu kearifan masyarakat pesisir pantai yaitu ngiteng atau memperbaiki jala ikan untuk menangkap ikan. Selain itu, aktivitas bermain di daerah pesisir diantaranya seperti “jengklek” atau “engklek”, bermain layangan, dan rok umpet. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas etnomatematika pada kearifan budaya lokal masyarakat pesisir Kota Pekalongan dan konsep yang terkandung di dalamnya. Kearifan lokal masyarakat pesisir pantai yaitu ngiteng atau memperbaiki jala ikan untuk menangkap ikan, aktivitas bermain jengklek atau engklek, bermain layangan, dan rok umpet. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kearifan budaya lokal masyarakat pesisir Kota Pekalongan banyak mengandung aktivitas etnomatematika. Di antaranya adalah aktivitas ngiteng, aktivitas membatik, aktivitas menangkap ikan dan aktivitas bermain jengklek atau engklek. Bahwa berbagai aktivitas tersebut berhubungan dengan etnomatematika seperti membilang, mengukur, merancang bangun, menentukan arah dan lokasi, bermain. Sementara itu, konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam aktivitas kearifan budaya lokal masyarakat pesisir Kota Pekalongan adalah ngiteng, mengandung konsep bangun datar; membatik, mengandung konsep bangun datar; menangkap ikan, mengandung konsep matematika sudut; dan bermain jengklek atau engklek, bermain layangan, dan rok umpetyang mengandung konsep matematika bilangan asli dan konsep bangun datar.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of portfolio assessment and learning independence on learning outcomes by considering logical mathematical intelligence (KLM). This experimental study uses a treatment by level 2×2 design. The population is all students of the Mathematics Study Program, FMIPA Undiksha who took the Integral Calculus course in the even semester of   2016 years, with a sample of 88 people taken randomly. Data were analyzed by ANACOVA. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the learning outcomes of students whose learning process was accompanied by a portfolio assessment were higher than students whose learning was accompanied by an essay assessment before and after KLM was controlled. The finding in this study is that learning independence has no significant effect on student learning outcomes before KLM is controlled, while after KLM is controlled learning independence has a significant effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

LILA is measured in pregnant women to monitor nutritional levels during pregnancy. The classifications in the LILA's measurement are the good nutrition category if the LILA measurement is more or equal to 23.5 cm and the undernutrition category if the LILA measurement is less than 23.5 cm. This study aims to classify LILA based on age, height, weight, blood pressure, hemoglobin level, blood sugar, gestational age, and hip circumference by employing the CRISP-DM methodology. The data used is from May till June 2022 at the Sumber Health Center, Sumber District, Rembang Regency. The decision tree method (decision tree) with the CART algorithm is worked to classify LILA in either the good or poor category. The data is divided into training and testing data by a ratio of 80%:20%. The decision tree method can classify all training data correctly. While evaluating the method with data testing produces values of accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score, respectively, are 90%, 96%, 92%, and 94%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the Reading Mind Mapping and Sharing (RMS) learning model and direct learning model on algebraic thinking skills in terms of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research population, namely the students of SMPN 2 Solear. Sampling was done by using the cluster random sampling technique and the research sample was 70 students. The instruments used in data collection are algebraic thinking ability tests and mathematical reasoning tests. Data prerequisite test includes normality test using Lilliefors test and homogeneity test using Fisher and Bartlett test with = 0.05, concluded that the sample is normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing using two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. The results showed that there was no difference in algebraic thinking skills between the RMS model and the direct learning model and students with high mathematical reasoning abilities had better algebraic thinking abilities than students with moderate and low mathematical reasoning abilities, and students with moderate mathematical abilities had the same algebraic thinking abilities. good with students with low mathematical reasoning ability
