Abstract

Rice fields in urban areas are getting narrower and made rice field activities are decreasing which of course will result in the reduced use of lexicons in this field. Therefore, it is needed to conduct a reseach on the lexicon of rice fields in Padang city. This article discusses the lexicons of rice fields used by people in Padang. This research is conducted qualitatively. Data is collected by referring method and analyzed by referential equivalent method. Then, it is presented in an informal method. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the rice lexicons found can be grouped into four, namely process lexicons, tools, flora, and fauna which are, mambajak , manyiang, manyikek, mananam,, etc. This lexicon must be inventoried so that the lexicon inheritance can be carried out as the local wisdom of the lexicon can be maintained for the next generation. Abstract

Belief in traditional ceremony can not be separated in a community system. The existence now serves as a tool for people to engage in activities related to various beliefs or religions. The purpose of this research is to know Akkawaru ceremonial procession procession in Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi. This research uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research consisted of direct observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis model that includes four components of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the results of research that has been done can be concluded Akkawaru is a ceremony of customs to reject the reinforcement has become one of custom trust that can not be separated from community life in Bantaeng Regency. Keywords: traditional ceremony, Akkawaru, Butta Toa

Abstract

Expression of Balance Geometric Shapes In Tapestri is a work of art that describes the balance of form through the arrangement of geometric shapes worked with tapestry techniques. With the shape, line and angle of the geometric that is fixed, straight, firm and regular becomes a character of a distinctive shape. The value and meaning of this geometric work can be seen through the arrangement of geometric shapes created, the arrangement of the geometric shape will form the symbol of balance. The purpose of this tapestry work is to develop and preserve tapestry textile art, to be better known in the academic community as well as the general public, and to create new forms of expressive order. The work of form balancing on the art of tapestry is through the method of creating three stages of six steps ranging from the exploration of ideas to the idea of becoming materialized by the process of designing the form, the composition of color and object protrusion using the technique of weaving and weaving loom like weaving. This tapestry art works using yarn, cloth, and fiber. These born geometric forms are expected to have meanings and values composed through various forms of composition. The form of tapestry art expression in the creation of this final work with three dimensional embodiments. The expression is poured into this equilibrium work with the meanings contained in a useful human life and as a good symbol or symbol. The eight works embodied in panel form have a physical function as wall decoration.Key Words: geometric, expression and tapestry

Abstract

In S1 Japanese Literature Study Program at the universities in Indonesia today, in addition to the general language competence, there are 3 main competencies namely linguistics, literature, and culture. The curriculum is then compiled with various lesson compositions to support these 3 competencies. Based on the research conducted in 2016-2017, the lessons for students in years 1 and 2 are generally focused on improving language skills. At the next level, the students are begun to be directed to the 3 fields mentioned earlier so that the final task in form of the thesis will adjust to the selected field of competencies. Teaching the literature of Japan on S1 Japanese Literature Study Program in Indonesia can be said to have not been well developed compared to the teaching of language or linguistic fields. The same thing happened with the studies that took the object of Japanese literature. Based on the results of the study, the main obstacle is the absence of Magister or doctoral program for this field in Indonesia so that the number of teachers with Japanese Literature background is still minimal when compared to the field of language education or Japanese Linguistics. In 2017, Kemristek DIKTI issued Permenristekdikti No 15 of 2017 concerning the adjustment of study program name according to the clusters of knowledge that give effect to S1 Japanese Literature Study Program throughout Indonesia. There are 4 choices, namely Japanese Language, Japanese Language and Culture, Japanese Literature, and Japanese Studies. This change made Study Program make several changes in accordance with the name while still prioritizing on the work prospects of graduates after graduation. This change 57 has become the major challenge for the development of Japanese Literature teaching and research in Indonesia. This paper aims to give an overview of Japanese Literature teaching at the university and the form of changes that have occurred in the current Japanese Literature teaching curriculum at the universities in Indonesia. Abstract

Good cooperation relationship between Indonesia and South Korea gives high impact on the migration from Indonesia to South Korea temporarily or permanently which affect the usage of the language by the user or referred as Indonesian expatriates in South Korea. In this article, the usage of languages, language shift, and language retention of the Indonesian expatriates in South Korea are described. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data collected by listening to two different media, namely interviews and social networking Facebook. The research subjects were Indonesian expatriates in South Korea, such as workers (TKI-Indonesian Workers), students, and intermarrying Indonesia-Korea families in Korea. The object of this study is the usage of mother tounge, then analyzed by using qualitative methods through sociolinguistic theory and reported descriptively. The results showed two groups of language usage, multilingual and monolingual groups. In the case of migrants or expatriates who are part of intermarrying families, there are three models of language retention. The first model, there is retention of mother tounge (b1) in addition to the usage of the Korean language (b2), and the Indonesian as the third language (b3). All three languages are used according to the situation and condition. The local language retention was found in the second model (b1 without Indonesian language, so using the mother tounge and Korean languages only. In the last model, the speaker who is a mother didn’t teach the mother tounge to their children. She tends to be monolingual, only the Korean language.Keywords: retention of mother tounge, expatriates, South Korea

Abstract

Ukbi.info a page that used to examine the ability of bahasa Indonesia. This page is provided as exercise tool before doing official UKBI test held by Badan Pengembangan Bahasa dan Perbukuan Republik Indonesia. This research is aimed to examine students’ ability of Indonesian Department University Andalas in responding bahasa Indonesia principle. Computational method is applied in this reseach that create ukbi.info web including 500 questions of bahasa Indonesia to give responses about the principles or compatible with UU. No. 50 2015 or General Guide of Indonesia Spelling (PUEBI). To know the result of test, each of participants will be given an account based on registered number, then they will observe and answer 25 questions for 25 minutes. In conclusion, the result of research shows that students’ ability at Indonesian Department University Andalas are on intermediate/middle rank (rank of high school students) and mediocre (rank of middle school students). This rank is not compatible with standardization of Badan Pengembangan Bahasa dan Perbukuan Republik Indonesia, that is excellent. Therefore, it is highly recommended to Head of Indonesian Department University Andalas to establish standardization for graduated students to reach excellent rank. The establishment of this standardization is organized by socializing ukbi.info page to whole Indonesian Department students University Andalas and target the graduated students to get excellent rank before completing their comprehensive tests.Keywords: students’ ability, bahasa Indonesia principle, ukbi.info page

Abstract

Researchers examine the Ability of High School Students of SMA N 06 OKU Finding Value of Religion in Short Story 4 Kopiah Karya Faqih Sulthan. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the ability of high school students of SMA N 06 OKU find the value of religion in short story 4 Kopiah by Faqih Sulthan. This study aims to describe the ability of students of grade X SMA N 06 OKU to find the value of religion in short story 4 Kopiahkarya Faqih Sulthan.Manfaat this research is expected to give description about religious values in short stories, and can be useful for teachers, students, readers, and researchers. The method that researchers use is descriptive method. Data collection techniques are test techniques. The sample in this study amounted to 36 students. The result of the research on the ability of the students of grade X of SMA Negeri 06 OKU find the religious value in the short story that there are students who can find the religion value on the element of aqidah with the value of 11-20 as many as 34 or 94.4%, with the value of 21-40 as many as 32 people or 88.9% the value of 21-40 as many as 10 people or 27.8%, with a grade point average of 68.9. Based on the Kreteria Complete Minimal value of Indonesian language in SMA N 06 OKU with a value of 75, then the students of class X.2 otherwise have not been able to find the value of religion in the short story 4 Kopiah works Faqih Sulthan.Keywords: ability, religion value, short story

Abstract

This article presents a discourse on problems in our generation about culture and history today. The important issue to our generation is an inadequacy in history and culture understanding (tuna-budaya dan tuna-sejarah). History categorized as a pure science, where the research method stages start from heuristic, critic, interpretation, and historiography. Art define as a spiritual activity, and not merely physical activity, the use of skill and imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environments, or experiences that can be shared with others. Artistic works have existed for almost as long as humankind. Art student whose study history must creative and active. Abstract

Martial art is one of physical exercises. Martial arts nowadays are gaining in popularity. In addition to sports, martial arts are learned to protect ourselves from various kinds of attacks. As the time progressed, martial arts increasingly popular all over the world, including China and Indonesia. China has various types of martial arts like kungfu. Kungfu is subdivided into several types, one of them is wing chun. In Indonesia, there are also various types of martial arts. Pencak silat that scattered throughout the country is Merpatih Putih. Unlike China, this type of martial arts such as Merpati Putih is also a subdivision of martial arts. Not only the reference and classification that are different, Chinese and Indonesian martial arts also have other values such as moves. Based on this problem, the comparisons found in kungfu wing chun and Pencak Silat Merpati Putih will be examined. Abstract

Indonesian language is a language that has an important role both within Indonesia and internationally, particularly in Asia. Therefore, the teaching of Indonesian overseas are growing and developing. The focus of this article is teaching Bahasa Indonesia at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), South Korea was established in 1954 and the Department of MalayIndonesia (BMI), began in 1964 (Imun Campus) and 1982 (Global Campus). The programs are held at both HUFS campus locations, the Global Campus and Imun Campus with the same system and curriculum. At the later stage, with the development and dynamics of academic, Global Campus is reformed into Department of Interpretation and Translation Malay-Indonesia (DMIT), which is characterized by changes in course and curriculum system, particularly in the addition of courses on the interpretation/translation. In addition, changes were also made to other types of courses, number of credit hours of courses and distribution of courses. This is conducted in order to continue to improve the quality of learning that will ultimately produce high quality graduates. The change is implemented by considering the continuity of the working world, advice from faculty discussions with students, and analyzes the results of the questionnaire. Keyword: DMIT, ITBMI, HUFS Campus Global, Come to HUFS, meet the world!
