This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data sources involve teachers and students. Data analysis techniques used the Mliles and Huberman models through the stages of reduction, display, and data verification. The results showed that learning related to the development of social attitudes was not running optimally, due to: 1) the role of teachers who did not comprehensively understand the 2013 curriculum, the teacher did not design learning strategies that focused on increasing the social attitude competencies that existed in core competencies (KI -2) both the media up to the evaluation that measures the development of students' social attitudes, 2) there are still obstacles such as uneven facilities, lack of socialization, teachers and students do not understand the contents of the curriculum as a whole. Meanwhile, the solution in dealing with the problem of implementing the 2013 curriculum in the subjects of character and Islamic Education learning  is: an increase in teacher competency in designing, and developing Learning models that meet the needs of teachers and students, especially those related to social attitude competencies.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Inquiry Learning Model and Scientific Literacy toward students’ Critical Thinking Skills in Primary School. This Study was Conducted at SD Islam Al-Ikhwan Tangerang in Fifth Graders. The True Experiment Method with Two Way Anava design (treatment by level 2x2) was implemented in this study. 40 students as the sample was selected by simple random sampling. Students in experimental group were learned through Inkuiri Mandiri model. Meanwhile, in control group, students were learned through Guided Inquiry. Based on data analysis, it was obtained: (1) the student’s critical thinking skills given by Inkuiri Mandiri Model is higher than Guided Inquiry, as evidenced by Fcount (10.93) > Ftable (4.10 ); (2) there is influence of interaction between learning models and scientific literacy toward student’s critical thinking skills, this can be seen from the acquisition price of Fcount (58.926) > Ftable (4.10); (3) student’s critical thinking skills given Inkuiri mandiri Model is higher than Guided Inquiry in group of students with high scientific literacy, with the Tukey-test Qcount Test (10.986) > Qtable (4.33); and (4) student’s critical thinking skills given Inkuiri Mandiri Model is lower than Guided Inquiry in group of students who have low scientific literacy, with the Tukey-test Qcount Test (4.369) > Qtable (4.33).

The methods used by the authors in this study are: 1) Observation Method, 2) Interview Method, 3) Documentary Method, 4) Questionnaire Method. In this study the authors use a statistical analysis method, where this analysis seeks to present the preparation, analyzing data from the results of the study in the form of numbers both in tabular and graphical form. Based on calculations that the empirical chi value of = 1,011 consulted X ² based on a 5% significance level in the table db = 1 (K-1) (K-1) = 3.841 it turns out that after comparing with chi squared (X²) calculation is greater chi squared table . So that in this study there is no effect of adherence to school norms (discipline) on the discipline of students studying even semester MTs Ibrahimy Distrik Kalipuro Banyuwangi.

Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documents. The data analysis technique used in this study was an interactive analysis model consisting of three components, namely data reduction, triangulation, data presentation and conclusion making. The results of this study indicate that teacher performance viewed from pedagogical competencies has generally run well and accorded to the academic qualifications and teacher’s competency standards set by the government. However, the weaknesses of teachers that are still very visible are in creativity in the application of learning both methods and strategies, or in making learning media to support teaching and learning activities. Furthermore, the use of technology is still low and most teachers still use conventional methods in teaching. Whereas teacher performance in terms of professional competence is still not in accordance with academic qualification standards and teacher competencies set by the government. There are still weaknesses in the development of creativity related to media or teaching aids that support learning. In addition, the low implementation of Classroom Action Research (CAR) serves to improve the professionalism of teachers themselves. And the last is the utilization of information and communication technology for personal development that has not been maximized.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of Thinking Actively in a Social Context, Creative Problem Solving, and Direct Instruction learning models on students' divergent thinking skills. The quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method was used as the research approach. The research subjects include the fifth-grade students at the public elementary schools in Laweyan District, Surakarta, Indonesia. The data were collected using test and non-test techniques. They were then analyzed using the prerequisite test, hypothesis test and multiple-comparison test. The results show that the learning model has an effect on divergent thinking skills. The selection of TASC and CPS learning models has an effect on the students’ activeness in learning, so teachers can consider these models to be applied in learning with integrated thematic teaching materials in the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to: analyze the student learning outcomes using the problem-based learning model, compare to the student learning outcomes using the direct learning model. The type of this study is experimental research that is the factorial design. The study population is all of the students in class X. Therefore, the research sa DLMes are the students of Class X of Culinary Art 1 as the experimental class and the students of Class X of Culinary Art 2 as the control class. The researcher analyzed the data using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) two-way Anova after accoDLMishing the normality and homogeneity test requirement. Based on the result of hypothesis test using ANOVA technique, the researcher found that: (1) the student learning outcomes of cognitive aspects using problem-based learning model was significantly higher than the student learning outcomes using the direct learning model.
