Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is that there are still some teachers who teach without making a good teaching plan, are less skilled in using teaching media, are less able to activate students and less able to make assessment analyzes. The purpose of this study 1) the contribution of planning to the management of the quality of learning of state junior high school teachers Koto Tangah Padang, 2) Learning Media's contribution to the management of the quality of learning carried out by state junior high school teachers Koto Tangah Padang, 3) contribution of Planning and instructional media to the management of the quality of learning undertaken by state junior high school teachers Koto Tangah Padang.  This type of research uses a quantitative correlational method. The population in this study were 310 junior high school civil servant teachers in Koto Tangah District. The sample uses stratified proportional random sampling technique, so that the sample in this study amounted to 67 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques in this research are data description, test requirements and hypothesis testing. The results of this study 1) Learning planning contributes to the management of the quality of learning carried out by teachers of the State Junior High School in Koto Tangah District of Padang with a contribution amount of 23.3% by 24.4%, 3) Planning and media together contribute to the management of learning quality by 36.5%. This explains that to improve the management of good and ideal quality of learning should be done through improved learning planning and learning media.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to understand, explain and improve The Management Program based on Madrasah (Islamic Concept). The research used qualitative approach which used evaluation model of CIPP (Context, Input, Process and Outcome). It was conducted at Islamic State High School Jonggat sub-district. The results are, some weakness of programs to increase teachers human resources that are not master learning model media (cannot operate the laptop and in focus), increasing the facilities need dan low cost. The recommendation is suggested to those who are in the stakeholders to pay attention to this issue. So, the implementation of the program could be done successfully later.

Abstract

The era of disruption requires change and adaptation in all fields. The education sector is also expected to be able to adapt, especially for vocational education. How graduates from vocational education should be, and how the readiness of vocational campus in dealing with it. This research is a preliminary study using a literature review and observation approach on the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic as one of the vocational colleges of the Ministry of Transportation. Campus readiness is measured by the competence and skills of cadets, as well as the education carried out there. Competence and preparedness of cadets are measured from critical thinking and problem solving skills, collaboration and leadership, dexterity and adaptability, initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, able to access and analyze information, and have curiosity and imagination. The next discussion is about learning, how education is carried out. Education is carried out based on four pillars of education, namely learning to know, lerning to do, learning to be and learning to live together. College readiness is also measurable and achievable, which is overseen by the Quality Assurance Unit and the Internal Inspection Unit who continue to work to ensure that the Quality Standards continue to run in accordance with established regulations. Suggestions offered for the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic are to keep on updating the development of the aviation industry, continue to improve cooperation with stake holders, and continue to improve the quality of human resources educators and management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of career development, competence and compensation on intention to leave Employees at Ekasakti University, Padang. The research method uses correlational analysis. The sampling technique uses a purpose sampling method, amounting to as many as 30 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques using data description, normality test and hypothesis testing using SPSS Version 21. The results of the study illustrate that simultaneously there is an influence jointly with career development, competence and compensation for Intention To Leave, and testing conducted partially, that the development career influences Intention To Leave, competence influences Intention To Leave and compensation influences Intention To Leave.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the career development of lecturers. Refraksi Optisi YLPTK Padang lecturer research subjects. This type of correlational quantitative research. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques with the F test and t test. this research is important to examine factors influencing the career development of lecturers. The results of data analysis showed that work commitment, leadership, colleague support and competence together or partially influenced lecturer career development.

Abstract

This study aims to develop effective, feasible, and valid encyclopedia media on form and function of plant to train fourth-graders critical thinking skills in the elementary school. This study was research and development based on Borg and Gall theory and Research (R& D) model. Data were collected using observation, questionnaires, and tests and analyzed using media validity and reliability, student activity, implementation of lesson plans, and tests of critical thinking skills. After that, the media was validated by experts. The results of the expert validation showed that the Encyclopedia media was valid for use. Furthermore, the media was tested on fourth-graders of SDN KERTAJAYA V / 211 Surabaya using One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The limited scale trial results showed (1) the validation of the developed Encyclopedia media were 96% valid categories, (2) the developed media were tested in term of lesson plan implementation were 94% with well-implemented category and student activities were suitable to Discovery Learning model, (3) the effectiveness of the Encyclopedia media in terms of students critical thinking skills tests showed that average N-Gain was 0.75 (high) and positive response of 97% was given by students. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Encyclopedia media on Form and Function of Plant is feasible to train Critical Thinking Skills of Elementary School Students.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this paper is to study the enhancement of mathematical communication skills of students who have gained the implementation of Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) approaches better than those who have learned scientific approaches. The approach used is a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study are all grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Nisam with a sample of TBSM II class students as an experimental class and TKJ I as a control class taken to use the purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used in this research are mathematical communication skills tests of students and observation sheets. Data analysis was done using test-t, that because the data of the n-gain score obtained with normal distribution, but has a variance that is not homogeneous. The significant result of the statistics equal variances not assumed is 0.00 smaller than 0.05 H0 is rejected. The result showed that the enhancement of mathematical communication skills of students who gained the implementation of somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual (SAVI) were better than students who gained scientific learning approaches.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) are designed to prepare students or graduates who are ready to enter the workforce and are able to develop professional attitudes in their fields. In addition, graduates are required to develop themselves in the path of entrepreneurship, so they can advance in entrepreneurship even in whatever conditions and situations. This policy was adopted after seeing the fact that most of the educated unemployed are secondary education graduates, which can be interpreted as a lack of secondary education graduates' skills to enter the workforce. One of the expertise programs for creating educated graduates at secondary schools is the tourism program. Seeing these conditions, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of the 2013 curriculum policy on the travel business expertise program. This study uses a program evaluation method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study can be concluded that the evaluation of the program in the context component is in the category of "very good". Likewise, the results of evaluating the implementation of a productive curriculum in the travel business expertise program, the input components include curriculum programs, management of educators and education staff, management of financing and management of the education calendar in the "very good" category. The results of evaluating the curriculum implementation process of productive subjects in business travel expertise in the process components include the planning of the learning process, the implementation of the process, learning, assessment, and supervision of the learning process. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of the curriculum implementation of productive subjects expertise travel business expertise in the process component with the category of "very good". The results of the evaluation of the product component of the travel business expertise program at SMK Negeri 4 Matara with the "very good" category.

Abstract

Human resources are people who design and produce goods or services, oversee quality, market products, allocate financial resources and formulate all strategies and objectives of the organization. Full and continuous management and utilization of existing human resources so that they can work optimally, effectively and productively in achieving organizational or company goals. Lancang Kuning University is an educational institution that has administrative and teaching and learning activities. The total number of employees or employees is 513, consisting of 377 educators and 144 education staff. Simultaneous Influence. Based on the results of the discussion, the simultaneous influence of leadership orientation and rewards on employee loyalty is 32.1%, while the remaining 67.9%, while the partial effect of multiple regression analysis shows that supervision has an influence on employee work discipline by 0.435, awards have an influence to employee loyalty of 0.279.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of group cohesivity, working satisfaction, team effectivity toward senior high school teachers working productivity in South Tangerang City.  This research involved 240 senior high teachers taken from the selected targeted population; senior high teachers of South Tangerang City, using a quantitative approach with a path analysis method. The results of the variable analysis indicated that the direct effect of group cohesiveness on work productivity was 0.225, the direct effect of job satisfaction on working productivity was 0.247. Meanwhile, the direct effect of team effectivity on working productivity was 0.239. Thus, to improve teachers working productivity, teachers are required to enhance group cohesivity, working satisfaction, and team effectivity.
