Abstract

Emesis gravidarum is a common condition characterized by nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester, which can affect maternal health and quality of life. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the incidence of emesis gravidarum in the working area of Puskesmas Limau Purut, Padang Pariaman Regency, in 2024. A cross-sectional design was used with a total of 36 first-trimester pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire covering aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and the incidence of emesis gravidarum. The chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05 was applied for statistical analysis. The results showed that 55.6% of respondents experienced moderate emesis gravidarum. A total of 50% of respondents had poor knowledge levels, and 58.3% displayed negative attitudes toward the management of emesis gravidarum. Statistical analysis indicated no significant relationship between knowledge and the incidence of emesis gravidarum (p = 0.685), but a significant relationship was found between attitudes and the incidence of emesis gravidarum (p = 0.023).In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between pregnant women’s knowledge and attitudes and the incidence of emesis gravidarum in the first trimester. Strengthening health education and support for pregnant women is essential to reduce the incidence of emesis gravidarum and improve maternal quality of life during pregnancy. Keywords: Knowledge; Attitude; Emesis Gravidarum

Abstract

This study examines the issues surrounding the implementation of Islamic civil law within society, particularly in the areas of marriage and waqf administration. Although Islamic civil law has been integrated into the national legal system through various regulations—such as the Marriage Law, the Religious Courts Law, and the Waqf Law—its implementation at the community level still encounters significant obstacles. Social realities indicate a gap between the normative provisions of Islamic law and the actual practices within society, which are still heavily influenced by local customs, traditions, and limited legal awareness. This research employs an empirical juridical method, which combines the examination of written legal norms with direct observation of legal practices within the community. Primary data were obtained through observations and interviews with nazhir, community leaders, KUA officials, and individuals who access religious legal services. Secondary data were collected from legislation, Islamic jurisprudence literature, legal books, and official documents related to waqf and marriage. Data were analyzed qualitatively through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and interpretative conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that problems in waqf administration arise due to the low rate of waqf land certification, improper implementation of the waqf declaration (ikrar wakaf), strong community reliance on traditional leaders (ninik mamak) and nazhir, limited legal understanding, and the belief that waqf property cannot be contested. In marriage practices, recurring issues include incorrect determination of the marriage guardian (wali), lack of understanding regarding the role of the wali hakim, family conflicts, and inconsistencies in the recording of paternal identity. The prevalence of unregistered marriages (nikah siri) is driven by economic factors, limited awareness of the importance of marriage registration, and underage marriages. Meanwhile, unregistered divorces (cerai liar) create legal uncertainty, negatively affect the rights of women and children, and may lead to criminal violations. This study concludes that the primary factors hindering the proper implementation of Islamic civil law in society include low legal literacy, the strong influence of customary practices, insufficient public legal education by authorities, and weak community awareness of the importance of administrative legality. These findings are expected to contribute to improving the governance of Islamic legal services and enhancing the legal understanding of the community. Keywords : Islamic Civil Law, Waqf, Marriage Guardian, Unregistered Marriage, Unregistered Divorce.

Abstract

In Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning Civil Servants, it is stated that civil servants have an obligation to implement public policies. The LAN Head Decision Number 14/K.1/PDP.07/2022 is divided into two main components: the development of civil servants' character and the strengthening of technical competence in their field of work. At the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, one of the objectives is to balance cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. However, in practice, assessment of the affective domain is often not carried out optimally. Therefore, a systematic and measurable instrument is needed. The method used in the research is a qualitative descriptive method. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling with 38 students from UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. The series of activities, starting from instrument development, socialization to students, implementation of actualization in group learning, and analysis of affective ability improvement, showed that the affective assessment instrument was able to measurably increase students' active participation. Keywords: Civil Servants; Active Participation; Affective Assessment Instruments

Abstract

This research is entitled the Influence of the Students' Learning Activeness on Students' Learning Achievement at SMAN 1 Tasik Putri Puyu Lokal Jauh. The aim of this research was to find out whether there was a significant influence of the students' learning activeness on students' learning achievement. This research used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population in this study was the students of SMA N 1 Tasik Putri Puyu Lokal Jauh, with a total of 73 students, the samples for this reseach were students of class XI IIS 3 with a total of 22 students. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test to test the influence of the independent variable (Students' Learning Activeness) on the dependent variable (Students' Learning Achievement). Data was collected through a questionnaire consisting of 31 statements and a test given at the end of each lesson. The results of this research showed that the value of r count (0.281) < r table (0.4227) which means that Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is rejected and Null Hypothesis (Ho) is accepted. This research shows that there is no significant influence between the Students' Learning Activeness and Students' Learning Achievement. Based on this, it is recommended that further research consider other variables that are more relevant to Students' Learning Achievement. Key words: learning achievement, active learning, quantitative, correlation

Abstract

This study examines the assessment needs of English for Young Learners (EYL) in Indonesian primary schools using a qualitative research design. The research aims to identify current assessment practices, challenges faced by teachers, and what is needed to improve assessment quality for young learners. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with three EYL teachers, and analysis of lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment reports from three different schools. The findings indicate that assessment practices are still dominated by traditional written tasks, such as worksheets and quizzes, which account for most classroom assessments. These methods are not fully appropriate for young learners, who require interactive, play-based, and performance-based activities. Observations also show limited use of speaking tasks, games, and authentic assessments. Teachers provide minimal feedback, and none use rubrics or checklists to guide scoring Interviews reveal that teachers have limited assessment literacy due to a lack of training in child language evaluation. Time limitations, class size, and curriculum demands also hinder the implementation of developmentally appropriate assessment. The study concludes that teachers need practical, child-friendly assessment tools—such as simple rubrics, checklists, and performance task templates—and professional development in authentic and age-appropriate assessment strategies.
