Abstract

Education has an important role in forming a generation that has good character, ethics and morals. The important role of education in forming a generation of character is the main goal of education. Scout education is an effective program in improving character, developing leadership, moral ethics, personality formation, independence, self-confidence, and achieving student achievement. Scouting is one of the extracurricular education that can be implemented. This research explores how school management at SMP Negeri 1 Saptosari can improve student achievement and discipline through Scouting. The achievement that can be achieved from Scouting is becoming a Garuda Scout. Garuda Scouting is achieved through various tests so that students will obtain the highest Garuda Scout/Scout title. Using a qualitative case study method, the research involved interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results show that good management can make Scouting a superior program that can improve student achievement in achieving the Garuda Scout title, as well as having a big impact on the development of education at SMP Negeri I Saptosari.

Abstract

Students' digital literacy is a crucial 21st-century skill that goes beyond basic reading abilities, encompassing analytical, critical, and reflective comprehension. This study aims to explore the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in providing reading materials to enhance the digital literacy of students at SMP Bina Muda Panggang. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive design, involving 44 students and 10 teachers from July 22, 2024, to August 9, 2024. The findings reveal that AI-generated reading materials are more relevant and effective compared to conventional methods, with 85% of students completing the reading within 15 minutes, and 95% of students expressing that AI-based reading materials are more engaging. The study concludes that the use of AI can effectively enhance students' digital literacy and recommends the development of AI-based literacy programs and teacher training.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of School Based Management (MBS) in improving the quality of learning at Kindergarten ABA Piyaman III Wonosari. The research focus includes stakeholder participation, learning innovation, and transparency of school management. This research uses a school action research method with a qualitative approach which was carried out in two cycles in the 2024 academic year. Data was collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The research results show an increase in stakeholder participation from 72% to 78%, child development in cognitive aspects from 70% to 77%, social-emotional from 73% to 80%, and physical-motor from 75% to 82%. Transparency and accountability in school management also increased from 75% to 82%. The successful implementation of SBM is supported by the use of information technology in school communication, adjusting schedules with parents, and implementing innovative learning methods. This research contributes to the development of SBM implementation models at the kindergarten education level, especially in semi-urban areas.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce (1) an analysis of character education management in co-curricular programs in the Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles; (2) analysis of internal coordination in co-curricular programs in the Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles; (3) analysis of factors that support and hinder the management of co-curricular based character education and how to solve them; (4) analysis of the impact or changes in student character after participating in co-curricular programs in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded: (1) SMK Negeri 1 Klaten Regency through the P5 Team has implemented the four management functions (planning, organizing, implementing and supervising) very well in the co-curricular program in the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project; (2) Internal coordination has been running regularly and well; (3) Supporting factors include school human resources, student guardians, and required funds. Inhibiting factors include schedule arrangements and student composition. This can be overcome with good communication and schedule arrangement by the class teacher; (4) The impact or change in character based on leadership values that have been prepared by the school can be felt by students and teachers. This positive impact has become an enthusiasm for implementing this school's superior program.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and investigate the use of online suggestions and critiques from parents in order to enhance safe environment conditions; also, it provides insights on how effective online platforms are at promoting open communication between schools and parents with reference to safety issues at SMP Negeri 11 Magelang. By employing qualitative analysis through qualitative research methodology that entails a case study design approach, the study was done. The main point was on whether parents use web-based media when offering suggestions or making criticisms. Based on data analysis conducted, the platform was found to be useful in handling suggestions and criticisms made by parents. It was noted by respondents that this platform encouraged more involvement by parents into matters concerning school safety. Among these respondents who were parents, 80% indicated they were satisfied while 85% were learners.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to examine the tahfidz (memorization) program of the Qur'an at MTs. Al Furqon Siliragung Banyuwangi which implements management functions. The implementation of management functions into the Qur'an memorization curriculum is a transformation of the madrasah in developing its education. This study uses a qualitative approach based on a case study design. The research informants include the head of the madrasah, the deputy for curriculum, and the homeroom teacher. Data collection through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The theory of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana is used in data analysis through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. Test the validity of the data with reliability, confirmability, and credibility. Furthermore, the researcher checks the adequacy of references, member checking, triangulation, peer discussion, and continuous monitoring in the accuracy of the data. Based on the research results, there are three steps that can be taken to plan and implement a successful Al-Qur'an memorization program, namely: 1) setting goals through discussions at regular meetings, determining what materials are needed, and identifying educator needs. 2) building an organizational structure that pays attention to the educator's field of expertise. 3) implementing the program through a learning process that follows a system agreed upon by the management and educators, using innovative strategies to improve memorization methods, namely Talqin and Talaqqi, 4). Pengawasan on through the use of direct observation of learning activities, monitoring memorization progress, and frequent assessment of the process and results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education management in preventing bullying at SD Negeri Percobaan 3 Pakem Sleman. The research focuses on planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising character education as a preventive strategy against bullying in elementary school environments. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and school committee members. The findings indicate that character education is integrated into classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and school culture through a collaborative approach involving all school stakeholders and the broader community. The primary strategy adopted is the Pola Asuh Pendidikan Karakter Keluarga 28 (Family-Based Character Education Model 28 or Pasukan Raga 28), which emphasizes values of collaboration, empathy, and social responsibility. Monitoring and evaluation are conducted multilaterally by the principal, teachers, and the school committee through continuous supervision and assessment of character development outcomes. This study contributes to the development of a structured and participatory model of character education management in the context of primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of character-building focused on mutual cooperation (gotong royong) in improving the quality of education at SD Negeri Golo. The research focuses on: (1) managerial processes including planning, organizing, implementation, control, and evaluation; (2) supporting and inhibiting factors as well as innovative solutions in fostering gotong royong character; and (3) the contribution of character management to improving education quality. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving the school principal, teachers, students, and the school committee as research subjects. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation, with data analysis comprising data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the management of gotong royong character-building was carried out systematically through: (a) planning aligned with the school’s vision and mission, (b) the formation of an implementation team, (c) habituation-based implementation and guidance, and (d) evaluation and control by the school principal. Key supporting factors included school community enthusiasm and the principal’s motivational leadership. Innovative efforts encompassed internal-external collaboration, teacher training, practice-based approaches, and an integrative planning system. The gotong royong character management proved to contribute positively to creating a conducive school environment and significantly enhancing the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media in shaping the critical attitude of West Aceh State Community Academy students towards civic issues. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and social media content analysis. The results showed that students actively utilize various social media platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, as the main sources to access information related to citizens' rights, responsibilities, and participation. The research findings reveal that social media is not only a means of disseminating information, but also facilitates students' critical thinking process. Through interactive features on social media, students engage in discussions and share critical views on civic issues that directly affect their lives. Students no longer just passively receive information, but rather seek to analyze, evaluate and question the truth and viewpoints presented. Discussions on social media also encourage students to consider different perspectives, thus helping them to develop a more comprehensive understanding and a better critical attitude towards civic issues. The implication of this study is the importance of utilizing social media as an effective civic learning tool in higher education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of employee training on service quality at Café Diagram, Bandung City. The method used is a qualitative approach with phenomenological techniques, which involves in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research results show that employee training contributes to increased knowledge and skills, more proactive attitude changes, and increased customer satisfaction. Trained employees are able to provide better service, thus having a positive impact on customer loyalty. These findings emphasize the importance of management in designing sustainable training programs to improve service quality and operational effectiveness in the food and beverage industry.
