Abstract

This study evaluates the influence of principals’ transformational leadership and work motivation on teacher performance using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. By analyzing 33 journal articles published between 2014 and 2024, the study reveals that transformational leadership plays a significant role in enhancing teacher performance. This leadership style fosters a supportive work environment, enhances teachers' professional capacities, and strengthens their motivation. Moreover, work motivation is shown to have a direct impact on teacher performance and serves as a mediating factor between leadership and performance. The synergy between transformational leadership and work motivation forms an effective strategic approach to improving teaching quality. These findings highlight the importance of combining inspirational leadership with high levels of work motivation as a key to improving teacher performance and educational quality. Therefore, the study recommends strengthening the principal's role in motivating teachers through supportive and development-oriented leadership practices.

Abstract

The character of global diversity is essential for students, as today's world is interconnected without borders. The aim of this study is to determine the content quality of the e-worksheet, its visual design quality, its practicality, and its effectiveness in enhancing students’ global diversity character. This is an R&D study using the ADDIE model. The expert validation test involved three experts specializing in content, media, and practice. The effectiveness test subjects were 18 fourth-grade students from SD N Banjarharjo and SD N Kalibawang. The expert validation results showed that the content quality scored 97% (very appropriate category), and the visual quality scored 91% (very appropriate category). The practicality test resulted in a score of 92%, indicating it is very practical. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test using a paired sample t-test showed an increase in the average score from 1.84 in the pretest to 2.90 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference. Therefore, the product is effective in improving students’ global diversity character.

Abstract

The research was designed to analyze the influence of industrial culture, productive teacher internship programs, and learning communities on the work motivation of vocational high school (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan, SMK) teachers across Kendal Regency, both partially and simultaneously. Employing a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, the study encompassed all public and private vocational high schools in Kendal Regency, Central Java Province, totaling 29 institutions. The population of this research comprised 315 productive teachers. A sample of 176 teachers was determined through the application of the Slovin formula. Proportional sampling was the technique utilized for sample selection. Data collection was conducted via questionnaires. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that, on an individual basis, as verified by the t-statistic values with a significance level of p<0.05, industrial culture, productive teacher internship programs, and learning communities exert a positive and significant influence on work motivation. Furthermore, the research findings demonstrate that these three variables simultaneously affect work motivation, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.584. The most substantial contribution to work motivation in the simultaneous model originates from the productive teacher internship program as indicated by the value of β=0.433, p<0.001).

Abstract

This study explores the role of Islamic education based on Islamic boarding schools in shaping the religious character of students at MA NU TBS Kudus. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through interviews with eight purposively selected informants, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that the integration of formal curriculum and pesantren-based religious practices—such as yellow book study, congregational prayers, dhikr, and daily wirid—significantly contributes to students' religious character development. The presence of kiai and teachers as daily role models reinforces students' internalization of Islamic values. Additionally, structured worship routines enhance students' discipline, persistence, and commitment to religious life. Supported by Thomas Lickona’s character education theory and B.F. Skinner’s reinforcement theory, the study concludes that the MA NU TBS Kudus model effectively combines cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of religious character education. This integrated approach presents a holistic and replicable framework for other Islamic educational institutions seeking to strengthen students’ moral and spiritual development.

Abstract

One indicator of the success of a school's marketing strategy is their ability to acquire new students according to target. Data-Based Planning (DBP) offers more mature planning for the success of PPDB. This study aims to describe the implementation of DBP in improving the success of SPMB at SD Negeri Potrobangsan 3 Kota Magelang and SD Negeri 2 Gondangwayang Temanggung. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations, and documentation . The validity of the data used is triangulation of techniques and data sources. Data processing is based on the Milles and Hubberman method. The results of the study show that a data-based approach to new student admissions helps improve the effectiveness of school strategies. Data helps schools can make more appropriate policies, follow enrollment trends, and consider various factors that affect the number of students. Data analysis helps schools understand opportunities and challenges, so that planning does not only focus on enrollment targets, but also on overall school development. During implementation, strategies designed based on data can be optimized. After that, an evaluation is important to ensure the strategy remains effective and to determine what data needs to be collected in the future.

Abstract

Critical thinking is the main provision in the problem-solving process. Meanwhile, problem-solving ability is one of the peak aspects in education. So the need for special procedures to stimulate students' critical thinking in learning. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the Project Based Learning Poster Product model. The type of research used is PTK or Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the study were 16 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Menggermalang, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta in the PPKn subject on norms and rules in daily life. Data were collected using observation instruments, written tests, and activity documentation. The results of this study indicate that after the implementation of the Project Based Learning poster product model there was a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills. The pre-cycle score showed 0% completeness, the first cycle post-test score showed 53.86% completeness, and in the second cycle showed 76.92% completeness. It can be concluded that the application of the Project Best Learning poster product model can significantly improve elementary school students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Adiwiyata school management in fostering students' responsibility character, to identify obstacles, and to formulate strategies for overcoming them at SD Negeri Magelang 6, Magelang City. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through triangulation, including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed interactively through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Adiwiyata program was implemented in a structured and participatory manner through planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation stages. The program involved school principals, teachers, students, school committees, and external partners. Environmental responsibility values were integrated into the curriculum and school culture through activities such as clean-up programs, waste management, class duties, and recycling projects. The main challenges faced include limited facilities, lack of active participation from some school members, and difficulty in maintaining program consistency. Strategies applied include regular coordination, periodic evaluation, educational approaches for younger students, parental involvement, reward and sanction systems, and the formation of student environmental cadres.The Adiwiyata program management at SD Negeri Magelang 6 effectively fosters students’ responsibility toward the environment. This program serves as a model of best practices for character education based on environmental awareness in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the education quality assurance system at the Surabaya Job Training Center (BLK) using DeLone and McLean’s Information Systems Success Model (ISSM) as the analytical framework. A qualitative research approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving management, instructors, quality staff, and trainees. Thematic analysis was applied to examine six model dimensions: system quality, information quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction, and net benefits. The findings reveal that the quality assurance system at BLK Surabaya has been effective in improving work efficiency, process integration, and learning motivation. System, information, and service quality positively contribute to user satisfaction and organizational benefits. Nonetheless, challenges remain in network infrastructure and limited practice equipment. This study extends the ISSM application in government vocational training institutions and provides practical implications for strengthening digital-based education quality assurance in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to examine: (1) the combined influence of the role of the School Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPK), parental education, and social media usage on bullying; (2) the influence of the TPPK's role on bullying; (3) the influence of parental education on bullying; and (4) the influence of social media on bullying in elementary schools within the Budi Wiyata 2 Cluster, North Magelang District. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Hypothesis testing was conducted through multiple linear regression analysis. The study population consisted of 566 parents of students from public elementary schools in the Budi Wiyata 2 Cluster, with a sample of 85 parents selected using Probability sampling. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS software, including prerequisite tests such as normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. Hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression analysis, along with t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that the variables of TPPK role, parental education, and social media significantly influenced bullying cases in public elementary schools within the Budi Wiyata 2 Cluster, North Magelang District, Magelang City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) The influence of organizational support on the performance of the principal; (2) The influence of school culture on the performance of the principal; (3) The influence of teacher competence on the performance of the principal; (4) The influence of organizational support, school culture and teacher competence on the performance of the principal of Elementary Schools in South Magelang District. The approach used in this study is quantitative, with a survey method. The hypothesis was tested using multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study was 168 elementary school teachers throughout South Magelang District, with sampling using the proportional random sampling technique, a sample of 114 teachers was obtained. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS, which consists of data analysis techniques and prerequisite tests consisting of normality tests, linearity tests, multicollinearity tests. For the hypothesis test using multiple linear regression, R test, t test, and F test. The results show that organizational support, school culture, and teacher competence have a positive and significant effect on the performance of the principal at Elementary Schools in South Magelang District, both partially and simultaneously
