Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to: (1) examine the entrepreneurial interest of private vocational high school (SMK) students in Depok District based on their field of expertise, family environment, and self-efficacy simultaneously; (2) determine the influence of the field of expertise on entrepreneurial interest; (3) assess the influence of the family environment on entrepreneurial interest; and (4) identify the influence of self-efficacy on entrepreneurial interest. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey as the primary data collection method. The sample consisted of 100 students from various private vocational high schools across Depok District, selected randomly. The research instrument was a questionnaire designed to measure students’ entrepreneurial interest, field of expertise, family environment, and self-efficacy. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and regression analysis, with assumption testing including normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. The results revealed that the field of expertise, family environment, and self-efficacy collectively have a significant positive effect on students’ entrepreneurial interest. These three independent variables contribute positively to shaping students' entrepreneurial intentions. The findings highlight the importance of strengthening fields of expertise, providing family support, and enhancing self-efficacy to foster entrepreneurial spirit among private vocational high school students.

Abstract

The significant decline in student enrollment at private schools, particularly Christian-Catholic schools in Magelang City and Regency, serves as the background of this study. The purpose of the research is to identify the factors contributing to the decrease in student numbers, examine the efforts made to sustain school operations, and explore the involvement of alumni, parents, and the church in addressing the issue. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis as data collection techniques. Data were gathered from five Christian-Catholic schools and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, encompassing data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings reveal two main factors behind the decline in student enrollment: internal and external factors, both of which interact without one being dominantly influential. Various efforts have been undertaken to prevent further decline, including strengthening school management by principals and enhancing the active involvement of alumni, parents, and the church. The synergy among these stakeholders is crucial in ensuring the schools' sustainability amid ongoing demographic and social challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain a clear picture at the planning stage of strengthening the Pancasila student profile project in realizing the Pancasila student profile at SMA Negeri 1 Payaraman. This research was conducted in the first year of implementation of the Independent Change Level 2 Independent Curriculum in class X for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research method uses a qualitative case study approach. The informants in this study consisted of the principal, deputy principal, teachers, students, committee members and parents. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity technique in this research was carried out using triangulation, then the data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the supporting documents have been fulfilled and are supported by the teacher's understanding regarding P5 planning. So it can be concluded that the P5 planning stage at SMA Negeri 1 Payaraman was good with the implementation of 6 of the 8 planning stages including data and information collection, analysis and diagnosis, policy formulation, target setting, budgeting and plan implementation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peer tutors and teacher motivation on student learning outcomes at State Elementary School 104 Palembang. The sample size taken was 60 students of State Elementary School 104 Palembang City. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, where the respondents taken were some of the sixth grade students of SD 104 Palembang City. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a 5 point likert scale to measure 90 statement items. The analysis technique used was simple and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that 1). there is an influence of peer tutors on student learning outcomes 2). there is an influence of teacher motivation on student learning outcomes 3). there is an influence of peer tutors and teacher motivation on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed human behavior, including education. Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang is one of those who feel the impact of the pandemic. Adjustments to education management are made to improve and ensure learning can occur properly. Online learning is not new, but the pandemic has made digital learning directly used as a solution to overcome this. Using a case study approach, this paper presents our experience in organizing online education at the Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. The results showed that although online learning can be used in teaching and learning activities during the pandemic, it has not been able to replace practical learning. As the COVID-19 pandemic declines in Indonesia, the author wants to create one that can contribute to learning in the future. Using learning recordings with simulators, practicum recordings, and theoretical learning recordings is expected to help to learn.

Abstract

Praktek atau magang diatas kapal disebut juga dengan praktek laut, merupakan tahapan pendidikan formal Pendidikan Diploma IV Pelayaran yang dilakukan selama satu tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis bibliometrik terhadap praktek laut menggunakan perangkat lunak VOSViewer. Hal tersebut dilakukan karena belum diketahui seberapa besar penelitian tentang praktek laut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian untuk melakukan analisis bibliometrik pada database Google Scholar pada periode tahun 2019-2023 menggunakan software VOSViewer. Bibliometri digunakan sebagai metode untuk mengevaluasi dan mengukur dampak publikasi ilmiah dalam domain praktik laut menggunakan aplikasi VOSViewer pada database Google Scholar. Data bibliografis diperoleh dari sumber-sumber terkait, dan VOSviewer digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan pola keterkaitan antara konsep-konsep kunci dalam literatur. Analisis ini membantu mengidentifikasi tren penelitian, kolaborasi antar peneliti, dan fokus utama dalam studi praktek laut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan kata kunci praktek laut, ditemukan sejumlah 200 artikel relevan yang diterbitkan dalam periode tahun 2019-2023. Hasil analisis bibliometrik ini mengungkapkan evolusi topik dalam literatur, memungkinkan pemahaman mendalam tentang perkembangan dan tren riset. Peta keterkaitan konsep memfasilitasi identifikasi kluster penelitian yang berkaitan erat dan mendukung pengembangan pemahaman lintas disiplin. Selain itu, analisis kolaborasi antar peneliti melibatkan identifikasi faktor kunci yang berkontribusi pada penelitian tentang praktek laut. Berdasarkan hasil pemetaan tersebut, terlihat bahwa bidang praktek laut masih terbuka untuk dilakukan penelitian yang lebih baru dan dimungkinkan dapat dikaitkan dengan variabel lain sehingga menghasilkan penelitian lain. Penelitian lanjutan dengan tema praktek laut masih terdapat beberapa kebaruan dengan berbagai tema diantaranya, otomasi kapal, manajemen praktek laut, pengelolaan praktek laut, fenomena kapal, perusahaan pelayaran, link and match, dan manajemen praktek lainnya.

Abstract

Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang (PIP Semarang) sebagai salah satu Badan Layanan Umum (BLU) di bidang pendidikan, memiliki peran penting dalam mencetak Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) Pelayaran berkarakter unggul dan berdaya saing global. Memberikan pelayanan pendidikan dan pelatihan berstandar nasional dan internasional untuk menghasilkan sumber daya pelayaran yang prima, profesional, beretika. Juga mengembangkan penguasaan ilmu terapan dan teknologi bidang pelayaran melalui penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SWOT dan Fishbone. Analisis SWOT telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi pencapaian tujuan pendidikan yang telah diidentifikasi oleh Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang (PIP Semarang). Komitmen penuh dari jajaran pimpinan dan staf akademik untuk mewujudkan rencana aksi perubahan adalah kunci kesuksesan. PIP Semarang telah meraih akreditasi unggul dari BAN PT dan zona integritas WBBM. Ini menunjukkan komitmen nyata mereka dalam menerapkan perubahan yang diperlukan untuk mencapai visi menjadi Smart Campus yang berkualitas internasional. PIP Semarang terus berupaya memantapkan langkah-langkah strategis ini untuk memberikan pendidikan yang relevan dan adaptif serta menghasilkan lulusan yang siap menghadapi kompleksitas dunia kerja yang terus berubah.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a management model for sewing extracurricular activities based on Project-Based Entrepreneurial Learning (PjBEL) at MTs N 2 Purworejo, designed to enhance students’ soft skills and entrepreneurial readiness. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the Borg and Gall development model with a simplified seven-step procedure: preliminary data collection, planning, initial product development, initial testing, product revision, field testing, and final revision. The study involved subject matter experts, language experts, entrepreneurship experts, and 32 students participating in the sewing extracurricular program. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The findings indicate that the developed extracurricular sewing module received “excellent” validation ratings from all expert reviewers and a highly positive response from students. Furthermore, observation results demonstrated a notable improvement in students’ soft skills, increasing from 63.95% to 70.8% following the implementation of the module. These results suggest that the PjBEL-based management model is effective in promoting soft skill development and entrepreneurial orientation at the madrasah level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher competence, work discipline, and job satisfaction on the job performance of Vocational High School (SMK) teachers in Salam and Mungkid Districts. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 SMK teachers in both districts. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression to determine the extent of the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The results showed that teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on teacher job performance. Likewise, work discipline and job satisfaction also have a positive and significant impact on teacher job performance. Simultaneously, these three variables significantly contribute to improving teacher job performance. These findings indicate that to enhance teacher job performance, continuous efforts are needed to improve teacher competence through training and professional development, strengthen work discipline, and increase job satisfaction through incentives and a conducive work environment. This study provides practical implications for SMK administrators and educational policymakers in formulating strategies to improve teacher job performance. Additionally, this study contributes theoretically to enriching the literature on factors influencing teacher job performance, particularly in the context of vocational education in Indonesia. Abstract

This research aims to determine the contribution of teaching experience, academic supervision of school principals and achievement motivation to the performance of State Vocational School physical education teachers in Bantul Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year,the research aims to analyze the influence of: The contribution of teaching experience to teacher performance. The contribution of the principal's academic supervision to teacher performance. Contribution of achievement motivation to the performance of State Vocational School physical education teachers in Bantul Regency. This research uses a quantitative type of research. The population in this study were all State Vocational School physical education teachers in Bantul Regency, consisting of 29 teachers. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis. After carrying out validity and reliability tests, it was found that of all the questions consisting of 30 questions on teacher performance variables, 30 questions on teaching experience variables, 30 questions on principal academic supervision variables and 30 questions on achievement motivation variables, all were declared valid and reliable. The results of this research show that: There is a joint positive and very significant influence between teaching experience, the principal's academic supervision and achievement motivation on teacher performance. This means that the higher the teaching experience, the principal's academic supervision and the teacher's achievement motivation, the better the teacher's performance will be. Vice versa, if the teaching experience, academic supervision of the principal and achievement motivation in the place where the teacher works is low/poor, then the performance produced by the teacher will also be low/bad. There is a positive and significant influence between teaching experience on teacher performance, there is a positive but not significant influence between the principal's academic supervision on teacher performance, there is a positive and insignificant influence of work achievement motivation on teacher performance. Of the three independent variables, the one that has the dominant influence on the performance of State Vocational School physical education teachers in Bantul Regency is teacher work motivation.
