Abstract

With the issuance of a study from home policy by the government during the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning process is carried out online. this makes lecturers innovate in using learning media in the learning process. The lack of use of learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in students being less motivated and having low learning enthusiasm in the computer network learning process. To overcome this problem, one alternative is to develop learning media in the pandemic era. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of the media developed to support the online learning process. The research method of developing learning media used is Research and Development (R&D) using the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model approach. The IDI approach model includes three stages, namely define, develop, and evaluate. The effectiveness test is carried out at the evaluation stage by treating the control class and the experimental class to students who take computer networking courses using question instruments. The results of this study are the effectiveness of the developed media and can improve student learning outcomes with an average post-test value of 84.78%. By doing this research, it is hoped that students can be motivated and have a passion for learning in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The world of education currently uses many benefits in the form of technology such as computer equipment to assist the process of delivering material. One of them is motion graphics video. The aims of this study are to: (1) Determine the validity of motion graphics video as a learning medium for Wide Area Network materials. (2) Knowing the practicality of video motion graphics as a learning medium in Wide Area Network materials. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a Four D (4D) approach model consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. From the results of the study it can be said that (1) video motion graphics on Wide Area Network materials. that have been developed meet the criteria. The data from the video motion graphics validity test results show the aiken'V value in the expert test results obtained an average media validity in the display aspect of 0.807 in the valid category, the average media validity value in the format aspect media of 0.83 in the valid category, the average validity of the material on the aspect of media presentation is 0.817 in the valid category. The results of the development of motion graphic videos as a whole have been suitable for use or valid as learning media.

Abstract

Since the first case of COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia in March 2020, the number of positively contaminated patients is increasing every day. On April 13, 2021, there were 1,571,824 patients who were positively contaminated with COVID-19. Various efforts have been made to suppress the spread of this dangerous virus, one of which is by implementing health protocols that must be obeyed when someone is in a crowd. The recommendation to use masks is a form of health protocol. Often people ignore the importance of using masks in public places, sometimes masks are used not in accordance with justified recommendations. For this reason, research is proposed which will later produce a system that can detect whether someone has used a mask correctly. The system was developed using a deep learning method using a convolutional neural network (CNN). CNN will classify data objects in the form of images / user images and determine whether they are wearing masks correctly or not. The output of the system in the form of audio will be delivered through speakers installed adjacent to the camera which will scan the user's face.

Abstract

This study aims to design a model for automatic text summarization in Indonesian. Automatic text summarization is a system that reduces the number of sentences without losing important information in the document. There are three approaches in making automatic text summarization, namely: extractive, abstractive, and hybrid. The extractive approach is to select a core sentence without changing it to a new sentence. The abstractive approach is to construct new sentences that describe the contents of the document. Meanwhile, the hybrid approach designed in this study is a combination of extractive and abstractive approaches. By designing automatic text summarization in Indonesian with a hybrid approach, it is hoped that the results issued by the system will be more like man-made summaries and have higher readability. The design made is specifically for the input of a document. The stages of automatic text summarization are divided into two, namely preprocessing and process. In the Preprocessing stage, sentence separation, tokenization, coreference resolution, stop words removal, feature extraction are carried out. There are two stages of making the summary, namely the extraction stage, to select important sentences and the abstraction stage, to select words and arrange them into summary sentences. Further research can be carried out for input of longer documents and the input is in the form of multi documents

Abstract

ABSTRACT Information technology is all forms of technology that help humans in terms of creating, storing, or disseminating information. Along with the times, information technology is more associated with high-speed computing and communication such as computers and mobile phones. The Institute of Teacher Training and Education of the Indonesian Teachers Association (IKIP-PGRI) Pontianak as an educational institution that requires information technology to assist activities within the Pontianak IKIP-PGRI environment. Based on the results of observations by conducting interviews, it is known that the study program has an information system website that contains information on study programs, but in the information system there are several shortcomings, namely the news and job vacancies have not been updated and there is no special alumni data information system to manage alumni data. Based on these problems, the researcher intends to develop a web-based information system for the alumni database using the R&D method and the ADDIE approach. The results of the system development were validated by 2 system experts to see the percentage of feasibility. The alumni information system has been tested for feasibility in terms of usability, functionality, and visual communication aspects. The overall average value in these aspects is 4.20 and 4.65, both values ​​are included in the "Very Good" criteria. .

Abstract

Sensor and Transducer is one of the subjects that must be followed by students of the Automotive Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University, which weighs 2 credits. In accordance with the RPS for the Sensor and Transducer Course, there are several types of sensors that are the subject of study, one of which is an inductive sensor. Inductive sensor applications are applied in the automotive world such as Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP), Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP), Vilocity Sensor. To make it easier to understand each sensor applied in the automotive world, students are required to master the basic concepts of the inductive sensor. One of the ways to increase student competence in the field of inductive sensors is the use of teaching aids during the learning process. Inductive sensor learning media in the Laboratory at the Automotive Engineering Department still uses analog processors, to support the development of digital technology today, so the authors provide an alternative by making teaching aids in the form of an Arduino-based Inductive Sensor Mini Trainer. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which consists of Define, Design, Development, and Desseminate. The assembled inductive sensor mini trainer was tested for accuracy, and repeatibility test as well as feasibility test from media experts and users. The results of the research on the product trials carried out, obtained an accuracy level of 96.21%, the sensor output has linearity, the repeatibility test is obtained with an average of 0.1%. The level of product feasibility from Media Experts, is 94.68% and 96.23% from Respondents. So it can be concluded that the Inductive Sensor Mini Trainer is very suitable to be used as a learning medium.

Abstract

Tracer's study is program on the situation of alumni, especially in terms of job search, work situations, and the use of competency acquisition during college. Based on the benchmarks that have been set by Dikti, the development of tracer studies can be implemented in several stages, such as system design development, data design, and interface design. With the development of the tracer study system design, it is hoped that it can become the basis for developing an integrated tracer study information system with the institution. The purpose of this discussion is to find a tracer study design that is in accordance with the rules and regulations to be applied in the institution. Using a modified Borg and Gall development model, the author focuses on product design development. The earliest design tracer studies discuss system design because this is the first stage in program design and it is the most fundamental. With this approach, designs can be developed and this is expected to be in accordance with the institutional needs and regulations of DIKTI as policymakers in higher education.

Abstract

The quality of the lecturing process is an important part for higher education to obtain output in the form of quality graduates in accordance with the vision, mission, and goals of the higher education institution. One way this is done is by checking the suitability of the teaching process that has been carried out with a predetermined curriculum. Teaching suitability checks are usually carried out by matching the lecturing material that has been delivered by the teacher in a lecture, whether it is in accordance with the lecture syllabus. This can be biased when the teacher (as the entity that is assessed) has to enter the suitability of the lecturing data. Therefore, it is necessary for other parties who are also directly involved in the lecturing process to verify the lecturing process that has been entered by the teacher. This research is focused on making a quality monitoring system for the lecturing process that involves students as the party verifying the lecturing process. This verification process will use media in the form of email and electronic messages in the form of chat in the chat application. When a teacher enters the lecturing process data, which consists of the material presented and the students who are taking part in the lecture, a message to verify the lecturing process will be sent via email and chat to students. Students can verify whether the course is in accordance with the course syllabus plan. By checking the conformity charged to the learning participants, a better level of trust will be obtained in order to improve the quality of learning

Abstract

Research related to forecasting is growing, starting with simple forecasting based on time or forecasting with certain criteria. Forecasting methods continue to be developed because they produce good models and can predict with high accuracy. The simplest method of forecasting is from the statistical value of the data, namely the average value or what is often called a moving average. Moving average calculates the next time prediction based on the previous time data and moves. The Moving Average (MA) method has several types, including Weight Moving Average (WMA), Autoregressions Moving Average (ARMA), and others. Referring to existing forecasting methods, we try to propose research related to the analysis of the MA, WMA, and Exponential Smoothing (ES) methods in forecasting shoe prices. The purpose of this research is to analyze the three methods in predicting the price of Adidas shoes. The data were taken from the Kaggle dataset and the analysis of the three methods used the MSE (Mean Squared Error) value. The forecasting analysis process uses the statsmodels library in Jupyter Notebooks. The MSE values ​​of the three methods are MA with 2 times 15484.68, MA with 3 times 24829.42, WMA 3 times 14239.74, WMA 4 times 18386.77, and ES 3 times 38349.34, ES 4 times 43102.42. The conclusion of this research is that the lowest MSE value is the best prediction method, namely WMA with 2 times MSE 7268.3.
