Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of rhetorical tools in a collection of poems Masih Ingatkah Kau Jalan Pulang by Sapardi Djoko Damono and Rintik Sedu. Data analysis was carried out in a descriptive-qualitative manner consisting of words, phrases, or sentences in poetry. The results of the research are in the form of rhetorical means, consisting of simile, metaphor, personification, and synecdoche display, repetition structure manipulation, parallelism, polysyndeton, asyndeton, hyperbole, rhetoric, and climax, as well as images of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and motion. The function of rhetoric means is to intensify, enliven, provide clarity of imaginary images, aesthetically, emphasize, rhetorically, generate more effective associations of meaning, make it concrete, and make it easier to imagine. The dominant use of rhetorical means, in structural manipulation, is parallelism and repetition, in images are images of motion, sight, and hearing, in a presentation are metaphors and personifications. The learning design in SMP must be student-centered, paying attention to individual differences and selecting the right learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to 1 to test the leadership of  1 ) teachers work discipline , 2 ) influence motivation teachers tenure to teachers work discipline , and 3 ) influence leadership and motivation of teachers work in togher teachers work discipline. This study using quantitative methods derived from sources both primary and secondary. Population and a working and motivation of teachers work discipline .The study is done in high school patra independent 01 Palembang .The collection of data using the survey with samples from 36 teachers. The data that has been collected analyzed using descriptive analysis and analysis of multiple regression. The result showed that : (1) is significant influence among schools to head leadership style discipline teacher in high school patra independent 01 Palembang; (2) any impact of the significant work to discipline the teacher in high school patra independent 01 palembang; (3)  Significant influence is of a style of leadership

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of infrastructure and work environment together on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Gugus 3, Lengkiti District. In this study, using quantitative research methods and research design in the form of influence studies, namely to determine the effect of the three variables, namely the independent variable or free school infrastructure (X1), work environment (X2) and the dependent or dependent variable Teacher Performance (Y). The results of the study can be concluded as follows: 1) There is a significant influence between school infrastructure on the performance of teachers at SD Negeri Gugus 3, Lengkiti District, 2) There is a significant influence between the work environment on the performance of teachers at SD Negeri Gugus 3, Lengkiti District, 3) There is an influence between the school infrastructure and the environment together on the performance of teachers at SD Negeri Gugus 3, Lengkiti District.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the significant influence of Organization Culture on teacher performance in cluster 1 Rambutan Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency . This research uses quantitative methods. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression formulas.The results of this study show that there is a significant influence of Organization Culture on teacher performance of elementary school with a t count value of 4,182 and t table of 1,998 where t count > t table then Ha2 received. The conclusion of this research is that good organization culture where they would actualized teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine correlation among motivation, self-confidence and speaking ability at the state islamic junior high schools in Musi Banyuasin. The research was conducted correlation research design. This study’s population comprised eighth grade studetns of junior high schools in Musi Banyuasin, sampling through a stratified random sampling of 50 students. Data collection techniques used include questionnaire and test. Based on the study results, the data showed that (1) correlation value of 0.885; (2) there is not any significant correlation between self-confidence and speaking ability with a correlation value of 0.623; (3) there is a significant correlation between motivation and self-confidence with a correlation value of 0.001 (4) there is simultaneous correlation among motivation and self-confidence with speaking ability with correlation value 0.883, with percentage of 0.5%. Whereas relation 99.5% is determined by other factors not mentioned in the study.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe strategies for improving the quality of learning in terms of teacher performance at the State Senior High School 3 of Sekayu, the obstacles faced and the results achieved. The research data collection techniques: 1) interview, 2) observation, 3) documentation. The research data analysis technique refers to qualitative research using 3 stages: 1) the processing data, 2) the reducing data, 3) the analyzing data. The results of this study: (1) the teachers creates innovative, effective, and fun learned by using infocus and utilizing hotspot facilities. In delivering learning materials, teachers use digital literacy as a supporting means to align the learning material delivered; (2) Constraints faced by potential, intelligence, and interest in accordance with the level of development and ability of students have not been achieved than expected, where the potential, intelligence and interest of students at the State Senior High School 3 of Sekayu are different; (3) The results achieved from strategies in improving the quality of learning in terms of teacher performance at the State Senior High School 3 of Sekayu, the fulfillment of the implementation of the delivered learning, where the learning process is innovative, active, and fun in accordance with the objectives of curriculum development in 2013 which is designed which is divided into 2 ( two), namely the implementation of learned which refers to the work program for a year (prota) and the implementation of learned which refers to the work program during the semester (prosem).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of head clinical supervision school starts from planning, implementation and follow-up as well the success of the principal's academic supervision in improving competence professional teacher. This research uses a qualitative approach descriptive. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the study based on the data obtained indicate that the implementation process of clinical supervision at SMPN 4 Banyuasin III has been going well and has received support from the principal and staff as well as the teachers concerned. In this clinical supervision, each stage carried out is able to provide meaning that can increase the ability of teachers to manage learning. The stages referred to are between the initial meeting, the learning observation stage to the post-feedback stage. Clinical supervision is a solution that is quite effective in improving teacher skills. This, it can be seen from the final results of the study that the teacher is able to master learning with various methods in accordance with the learning objectives.

Abstract

This research aims to find out moral values in the Movie entitled Chronicles of Narnia: The Prince of Caspian  Adapted from Clive Staples Lewis's Novel”. The Data of this research were obtained from words, phrase, sentences and utterance in the movie. To reveal the social-cultural background used in the movie the writer used documentation, interview, and movie review from another viewer. The moral values of the film are responsibility, honesty, love, and affection, strong belief, enthusiasm, Bravery, Goodhearted, loyalty, peace-loving, perseverance, sacrificing for others, sincerity and self-confidence. Byanalyzing moral values hopefully, it can build a good character for us as future teachers, and finally, we can give inspiration to the students. Learning English by watching movies is more enjoyable than learning through books.

Abstract

The spread of the corona virus in various parts of the world has led to policy changes in various sectors of life, including the education sector. In order to inhibit the spread of the corona virus and in an effort to break the chain of spread of viruses that have not yet found a vaccine, governments in various countries affected by the covid-19 virus have made policies to carry out online learning. Likewise in Indonesia, the Indonesian government has officially enforced rules for implementing online learning since March 16, 2020. In practice, however, there are various drawbacks perceived by teachers and students in addition to online learning opportunities. Therefore, this study has aimed to determine the opportunities and drawbacks perceived by teachers and students in the implementation of online learning in East Baturaja district during the covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted in SMPN 32 OKU, East Baturaja district, OKU Regency. The participants were 7th grade students and English teachers who were selected by purposive sampling method. Interviews according to health protocols with 4 questions and observations were made in data collection. The result show that teachers and students perceived that online learning offered flexibility, offered latest news, offered rich and unrestricted tools, facilitated reading, and helped to become more active for less active students, and was fast and easier. However, considering the advantages for learners as online learning is integrated into teaching and learning, there are certain drawbacks that demand immediate attention.

Abstract

Research aims to understand influence infrastructure to school and workplace on teacher performance. The study was conducted in Plakat Tinggi Musi Banyuasin district.Type this research is quantitative research with the design penetian use design this research expost facto capital.Included in this study was a total all teachers in public primary schools as TK in plakat tinggi district consisting of 50 the teachers. Technique use survey data collection, dokumetasi and observation. Data analysis technique using a technique descriptive analysis kuantittaif, berganda and regression.Results stated that 1) is to influence infrastructure as a teacher tk kecamatan placard; 2) is high environmental influences work on teacher performance kindergarten to high as kecamatan placard; 3) is influence together to infrastructure and workplace tk on teacher performance as Plakat Tinggi kabupaten Musi Banyuasin.
