Abstract

Great value and culture of Indonesian people that very popular around the world. The highly complex conflict in Indonesia is generally extremely concerning, particularly the normative downturn. This same real dilemma is also taking place in the world of schooling. So this study aimed to reveal the moral value and instrinsic elements form the novel Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell relate to people from different environment by interview. The data of the research were gained through triangulation technique taken from novel, book review and interview which are analysed with desrcriptive qualitatively afterwards,and describe the condition and relation which are held and process still going. The results of the study found that certain moral values and intrinsic features include the novel Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell using the Social And cultural Historical Technique and the Biographical Framework.

Abstract

The main objective of the analysis was to evaluate the Strategy of the Principal in Preparing to Enhance the Standard of Education at MTs Negeri 1 Musi Banyuasin. In carrying out the vision and mission and obligations, namely through the enhancement of religious values of students and programs of teacher competence. Qualitative analysis is the research used. Via evaluation, interviews and reporting, data collection was carried out. Data analysis methods have resulted in data reduction, data presentation and conclusions being drawn. The findings of this study suggest that an improvement in religious values by increasing the completeness of facilities and amenities is the principal strategy in preparing to enhance the standard of education To promote a special space for the Tahfidz AlQuran students for the learning process and to build teacher competencies through a Memorandum of Understanding. Improve teacher competence, teacher success and teaching and learning quality for student performance. In education and training, teachers are assigned to participate, If it is done by the school itself or by the assistance of other educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1. determine the effect of principal academic supervision on teacher job satisfaction; 2. knowing the work environment on teacher job satisfaction; 3. to know the effect of principal's academic supervision and work environment on teacher job satisfaction. The research method used is a quantitative method. The results of this study indicate that: 1. There is an influence between the principal's academic supervision on teacher job satisfaction; 2. There is an influence between the work environment on teacher job satisfaction; 3. There is an effect of principal academic supervision and work environment on teacher job satisfaction.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education at SMPN 1 Betung is carried out through the implementation of an internal quality assurance system. The research objective was to describe the implementation of the internal quality assurance system at SMP Negeri 1 Model in Betung, Banyuasin Regency. The descriptive qualitative research method is the type of field study. The research subjects were the principal, deputy principal, administrative staff, operators, and teachers of SMPN 1 Betung. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are in the form of collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Data validity checks include credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The results showed that the implementation of the internal quality assurance system of SMP Negeri 1 Model in Betung, Banyuasin Regency was carried out in accordance with the instructions for the SPMI Dikdasmen Kemendikbud developed by the government through the model school program and pengimbasan. The implementation stage, namely preparation consisting of training, preparation, and socialization. SPMI implementation includes mapping, fulfillment of plans, implementation, monev, and setting new standards, mentoring, monitoring, monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how is the science laboratory management at SMA Negeri 4 Ogan Komering Ulu. The research objective was to identify and describe the science laboratory management at SMA Negeri 4 Ogan Komering Ulu. This study uses a qualitative approach which is an approach to the process of collecting data and information that is deep, detailed and systematic in order to understand the object of the research study. The results of this study generally concluded that the management of the science laboratory at SMA Negeri 4 Ogan Komering Ulu was good enough and supported science learning. This can be seen from the laboratory planning that has been implemented optimally even though there are still many limitations faced, the implementation of the planning has been carried out well, the budget for the laboratory is available even though it is not fully sufficient, the tools and materials in the laboratory are quite complete and has made innovations using virtual laboratories in science learning that are connected via the internet network.

Abstract

The achievement of the vision, mission and objectives of education depends on the wisdom and leadership skills of the principal as the leader of the education unit. While in general, this research aims to (1) Describe the leadership of the principal in improving the professional competence of teachers in the digital age. (2) Know the supporting and inhibiting factors of the principal in improving the professional competence of teachers in the digital age. The result of this research was obtained that the implementation of the type of leadership of the principal at SMA Negeri 4 OKU by the principal received a good response from subordinates, it’s namely democratically, he always gave a good example to the teacher, so there is an improvement in the competence of the teacher's personality, delegate the teachers incidental related to the duties of officially and provide motivation to students, and open attitude becomes a place of consultation and implementation through decision making related to increasing the professionalism of teachers through meetings or deliberations, show how the way teachers are happy to carry out the verdict and feel satisfaction. The supporting factor of the principal’s leadership type in improving the professional competence of teachers at SMA Negeri 4 OKU is adequate from infrastructure facilities, thus supporting the teaching, training or learning process in schools. Furthermore, the obstacles encountered include, the limitations of teacher training programs outside office hours, there are still some teachers who are not active, and the results of the training can not affect their friends, then in the rules that have been determined there are still teachers who are less disciplined.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the leadership of the school principal and school committee on the performance of the teachers of the State Junior High Schools in Muaradua District, by using quantitative methods with this type of correlational research. The research population consisted of 107 teachers at the State Junior High School in Muaradua District. The research sample was 48 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, namely sampling by determining certain criteria. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis techniques and multiple regression. The results showed that: (1) The leadership of the principal has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the teachers of the State Junior High Schools in Muaradua District; (2) The school committee has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the teachers of State Junior High Schools in Muaradua District; and (3) The leadership of the principal and the school committee jointly have a positive and significant effect on the performance of the teachers of the State Junior High Schools in Muaradua District.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation among  students’ learning styles, learning motivation, and the eleventh grade students’ speaking ability at MAN 1 Musi Banyuasin Sekayu. The research was conducted correlation research design. This study’s population comprised eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Musi Banyusin Sekayu, sampling through a purposive sampling of 30 students. Data collection techniques used include questionnaire and test. Based on the study results the data showed that (1) there is not any significant correlation between learning styles and speaking ability with a correlation value of 0,590; (2) there is not any significant correlation between learning motivation and speaking ability with a  correlation value of 0.706; (3) there is not any significant  correlation between learning styles and learning motivation with a correlation value of 0,233; (4) there is not any significant correlation among learning styles, learning motivation and speaking ability with correlation value 0,838.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to assess SMP Negeri 7 Palembang's School Literacy Movement in Improving Student Discipline. With the CIPP model, this analysis uses a qualitative approach that includes: 1. 1. Evaluating Meaning, 2. Evaluating Input, 3. Evaluation of Operation, and 4. Service Evaluation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, presentation of data, conclusion and verification. The analyzed data is the product of SMP Negeri 7 Palembang citizens' interviews, observations, and documentation. This research shows that the School Literacy Movement's assessment of enhancing student discipline, The school has provided such facilities and resources in support of literacy programs, which include reading cornersBy providing 15 minutes to read before carrying out learning activities at the reading habit level,  And with some students, the School Literacy Movement has a positive effect on the work of literacy programs carried out by student achievement, It can be done and in SMP Negeri 7 Palembang there is a growth of character as well as a decision that this School Literacy Movement must be strengthened.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the moral values in the album thank you Allah by Maher Zein and the theoretical implication for teaching songs and ELT. The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative method. The sources of data were ten song lyrics from Maher Zein album. Method of collecting the data was triangulation: lyrics, interview, and book review. The data of this study were analyzed through: listening the songs, reading ten lyrics from the album, and analyzing the moral values by underlining, defining, classifying, reanalysing, and coding. The research found ten moral values in the album were: love and affection, believe, thankfully, forgiveness, loyalty, togetherness, honesty, bravery, courage and struggle. By analyzing the moral values, hopefully it could build the good character for us and finally we could give an inspiration to others. For the theoretical implication, it could be concluded that moral values could be taught through songs
