Abstract

Correspondence is an inseparable part of an agency, both private and government. The administration of correspondence has often utilized information system technology in assisting business processes carried out by parties within the organization itself. For example, the Institute for Innovation and Creativity Development (LPIK) of the Indonesian Institute of Business and Technology (INSTIKI) has implemented a correspondence information system, but there is a weakness in the system, namely that there is no digital signature process so that it is not optimal in facilitating the management of correspondence. This study aims to analyze the business processes of the system that is already running using the PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service) method. The benefits of the research are obtained from the analysis of the problems based on the previously running system seen from the use case diagram design, activity diagrams and system interfaces. This results in an analysis of the proposed system to complete system features and system functionality based on the results of the analysis of 6 aspects of PIECES which can assist LPIK institutions in facilitating the mailing business process.

Abstract

In line with the development of technology and information in Indonesia is multiplying. Competition between companies is getting tougher. A policy base can satisfy customers' wishes to anticipate competition in a company's plans. With the intense competition between competitors, a company needs to have good quality in service by satisfying customer needs which can be an advantage in the competition. Companies need measurement because it is an essential tool that supports companies in measuring company performance that is easy to visualize. One company that uses KPI as a Service Standard is GlobalXtreme Bali Branch. GlobalXtreme Bali Branch is a company engaged in technology and IT by providing internet services in several areas in Bali. With this, we need a benchmark that can be used as a benchmark for company performance in achieving this service excellence goal, one of which is a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) in helping a company determine the success or failure of an agency in achieving the targets that have been set. In this study, from the use of KPI calculations, it is known that indicators or processes with Audit Values ??which include Observation, FCR, Knowledge Test and Reactivation and the Customer Service Team, must achieve good Revenue Targets and CSAT. From the beginning, the KPI target became an evaluation material for the company, especially the customer service team, to improve customer service to achieve the KPI target. This result is an evaluation for superiors in the company regarding performance, teamwork, and initiative.

Abstract

Quality is an important topic for debate in a company because the facts on the ground show that a successful and surviving company must have quality control. Based on observations made at PT. XYZ, which is located in the Medan Marelan area, North Sumatra, it can be seen that the problem being faced by this company is the number of defective products produced during the production process. Therefore, this study aims to provide suggestions and reviews of improving quality control by implementing it using the seven tools method. Control analysis using seven tools method, namely check sheet, histogram, Pareto diagram, cause and effect diagram, control chart. This study took a sample of 50 pcs in 25 takers with 109 defective products. There are 4 types of defects in this study, namely: torn packaging defects, crushed processing defects, inappropriate weight defects, mixed processing defects. In the analysis, it was found that the biggest defects were in the torn packaging (40%) and crushed processing (38%). The results of the study of cause and effect diagrams found that the influence of labor, machinery, materials was the main point that had to be improved. In making the control chart Clp does not cross the UCLp and LCLp lines so that statistically out of control process variations are not found. Because there are no process variations that are outside the control limits, no revision is needed. Thus the process is in control. This study also uses the six sigma method to calculate the DPMO value and see the sigma level of companies in the industrial world. The result of the calculation is that the DPMO value in the company is 21,800 with a defect value of around 27%. It can be stated that the company has an average level of 3, which is above the Indonesian industry average. This is included in a fairly good level.
