Abstract

Mountaineering has become a popular activity in Indonesia, but many beginner climbers are still unprepared, making them vulnerable to accidents. This study aims to design and develop a web- and mobile-based mountaineering guide application for beginners that provides comprehensive information related to physical and mental preparation, as well as survival techniques. This application is equipped with a guide to climbing rules, necessary equipment, first aid procedures, and survival based on Mapala standards. In addition, this application offers recommendations for safe and suitable climbing routes for beginners on various mountains in Indonesia. The research methods used include data collection, business rule analysis, and implementation of easy-to-understand user interface design. The result of this research is an application that helps climbers prepare for their trips in a safer and more structured manner. User trials show that the application greatly benefits beginner climbers, with a high success rate in increasing their readiness and knowledge. Recommendations for improvements for further development are also presented to improve the quality of the application in the future

Abstract

This research aims to examine how user-generated content (UGC) affects travelers' intent to visit, as well as how UGC affects travel choices and offers suggestions for efficient tourism marketing tactics. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted across two reputable databases, ScienceDirect and Scopus, using specific keywords to locate relevant studies. 485 of the 556 articles were deemed relevant when the inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied. These papers were then thoroughly reviewed to generate a comprehensive study of the topic. The selection process, which included evaluating the titles and abstracts of every article located, produced a careful selection of 71 publications for full-text analysis. Ultimately, 26 papers were chosen for further analysis in this study. The findings from recent studies underscore the significant impact of user-generated content (UGC) on shaping tourists' intentions to visit destinations. This research shows that user-generated content (UGC) emotionally influences tourists' travel intentions, which is crucial for developing more effective and credible tourism marketing strategies

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the professional communication skills required by students in preparing for their career and the contribution of these skills to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research applied descriptive qualitative method using questionnaire to collect the data. The sample of this research was consisted of 70 final-year students of business administration students at Kupang State Polytechnic. The questionnaires were distributed to measure students' perceptions about the professional communication skills needed in preparing their career in the workplace and their contribution to the SDGs. The results indicated that the professional communication skills for verbal and written were in “required” category, it meant that the students needed to improve the public speaking ability such as presentation, handling a phone and conference, networking, and negotiation skills. Moreover, the written communication or business writing skill such as letter, memo, and repot needed by the students too. Those skills necessity must be overcome by giving training so the graduates are ready getting a good career in the workplace. Mastering the professional communication skills were not only crucial for individual career success but also significantly contributes to achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as quality education (Goal 4) and Partnerships for the Goals (Goal 17). The study concluded that bridging the communication skills gap is imperative for preparing a future workforce capable of driving sustainable development and achieving global goals

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of product innovation and service quality on customer satisfaction at Bank Mandiri Taspen. A quantitative approach with simple random sampling method was used to collect data from 91 customers in Mataram City, NTB. Data were obtained through an online questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS. The validity test with Pearson correlation indicated a very strong and significant relationship between service quality, product innovation, and customer satisfaction, with a correlation value above 0.98 at the 99% significance level. In addition, the reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha gave a value of 0.997, which indicates that the measurement instrument has a very high level of internal consistency. The results showed that product innovation and service quality had a significant effect on customer satisfaction, with unstandardized coefficients of 1.332 and -0.351, respectively. The R Square value of 0.990 indicates that these two variables explain 99% of the variation in customer satisfaction. This research is in line with previous studies that emphasize the importance of product innovation in improving customer satisfaction. Bank Mandiri Taspen is advised to continue to innovate their products and improve aspects of service quality that may be less satisfying for customers. Future research is recommended to explore other factors such as customer trust and user experience in the context of digital banking

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of end-to-end encryption (E2EE) on the security of digital banking transactions through a systematic literature review method. The literature sources are from Scholar, DOAJ, and Scopus indexers in the last ten years. The analysis confirmed that E2EE plays a crucial role in enhancing the security of digital banking transactions. Data inclusion criteria included empirical studies, literature reviews, and other research articles that directly addressed the implementation, benefits, or challenges of E2EE in digital banking transactions. The research procedure began with the formulation of research questions, development of a research protocol, systematic literature search, screening of search results, and data extraction and analysis to identify key findings, trends, and research gaps. E2EE has proven to be effective in maintaining confidentiality, data integrity, and protecting information from unauthorized access and eavesdropping. The implementation of E2EE, especially in cloud storage and mobile banking, strengthens security measures and reduces the risk of fraudulent activities. The findings underscore the importance of E2EE adoption to strengthen security systems in the digital banking sector. The study further recommends further research into the integration of E2EE with blockchain technology and its implications for information security policies.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Rapid Application Development (RAD) frameworks in the design and optimization of websites for academic institutions, particularly focusing on enhancing the functionality of digital platforms used by study centers. By leveraging agile methodologies, this research aims to streamline the development process, ensuring that digital resources remain responsive to user needs and institutional objectives. The findings underscore the effectiveness of iterative prototyping and feedback integration in creating a user-centered design that significantly improves engagement and information accessibility. Furthermore, the study reveals how optimizing website content not only elevates the digital presence of study centers but also supports broader educational goals, such as fostering collaboration and expanding academic outreach. The analysis highlights the critical role of digital transformation in aligning technological advancements with strategic institutional missions. As a result, this research provides valuable insights into the practical application of RAD in optimizing digital infrastructures, ultimately contributing to the sustainable growth and innovation of academic environments

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the influence of QRIS payment flexibility and the security of transactions on purchase choices in electronic commerce and supermarkets. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method, involving 88 respondents consisting of 27 males and 61 females. The research instrument is a Likert scale questionnaire with 18 items. Data were examined through the application of multiple linear regression analysis. The findings of the analysis indicate that the R Square value is 0.603, indicating that 60.3% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by QRIS payment flexibility and transaction security. The ANOVA F value of 64.421 with a significance value of <0.001 indicates that the regression model used is significant. These findings imply that QRIS payment flexibility and transaction security collectively exert a notable impact on purchasing decisions within e-commerce or supermarkets. This also underscores that QRIS payment flexibility and transaction security are crucial factors affecting consumer buying choices on e-commerce platforms or in supermarkets

Abstract

This study explores the application of data mining techniques to analyze customer feedback for improving service quality at Tanjung Lesung Beach Hotel. Utilizing the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) framework, the research systematically collected, cleaned, and analyzed 1,239 customer reviews from the Agoda platform. Through a thorough data cleaning process, 642 verified reviews were identified as authentic, providing a robust dataset for in-depth analysis. Sentiment analysis was employed to extract key insights, revealing both positive aspects of the hotel experience, such as staff friendliness and beach amenities, as well as areas requiring improvement, particularly related to room conditions and breakfast offerings. Trend analysis indicated an upward trend in customer satisfaction from 2018 to 2023, with a minor decline observed in 2024, suggesting the need for ongoing service enhancements. The findings emphasize the critical role of leveraging verified customer feedback to inform strategic improvements, ultimately aiming to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain a competitive edge in the hospitality industry. This research contributes to the field by demonstrating how data-driven approaches can optimize service quality and align organizational strategies with evolving customer expectations

Abstract

This study evaluates the final project feature on the Academic Portal System of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) which is divided into 5 sub-features; final project topic registration, final project guidance, logbook, proposal seminar registration, and final project exam registration using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) and End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) methods. Data were collected from student users through questionnaires using the IPA method which measures aspects of importance and performance, and the EUCS method which measures user satisfaction with a 1-5 Likert scale. The findings using the IPA method show that although the final project guidance sub-feature has a high level of importance (4.42), its performance is still poor (2.43) and falls into quadrant 1, making it a priority for improvement. In more detail using EUCS method, weaknesses were identified in completeness (2.75) in the Content dimension and accuracy of information (2.69) in the Accuracy dimension, as well as IT service support (2.75) across all dimensions. It is concluded from the results of this study that the IPA and EUCS methods are very relevant and worthy of being used to evaluate the final project features on the UAD Academic Portal System by providing accurate and comprehensive results, so that they can provide a complete picture and technical recommendations on user satisfaction and help identify areas that need to be improved

Abstract

The growing prevalence of e-commerce has transformed consumer behavior, particularly in sensory-driven industries like cosmetics. However, the absence of physical interaction with products poses challenges in building consumer confidence and driving purchase decisions. Augmented Reality (AR) has emerged as a potential solution by creating vivid and interactive virtual shopping experiences. This study examined the influence of AR on impulse buying intention, with product presence as a mediating variable, focusing on Shopee’s BeautyCam feature. A quantitative approach utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to analyze responses from 135 women aged 18–35 in East Java, Indonesia. The findings revealed that AR significantly impacted both product presence and impulse buying intention, confirming its ability to enhance consumer engagement. However, the mediating role of product presence was not statistically significant, suggesting its limited effect on impulse buying. These results highlight the direct effectiveness of AR in stimulating spontaneous purchase behavior and underline the importance of refining AR features to maximize consumer impact. This study offers insights into leveraging AR technology to address sensory gaps in e-commerce and recommends further exploration into additional factors influencing impulse buying. Future research could investigate AR applications across diverse product categories and technological advancements, broadening the understanding of AR’s role in shaping digital consumer experiences
