Abstract

This research aims to describe the duration of the shortest, medium and longest silent silences as well as the form of filled silences in Sujiwo Tejo's speech on the Karni Ilyas Club talk show. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. At the data collection stage, this research uses documentation, listening and note-taking techniques. Data analysis in this study used the HBB advanced technique matching method and the agih method with an advanced technique in the form of the lesap technique. The results of this study showed that the shortest silent silence duration was 285 ms when saying Yes // [285] and 297 ms when saying logic // [297]. Silent silences of medium duration were obtained with a duration of 462 ms, 371 ms when saying I use //[462] and screenshoot //[371] and 492 ms when saying there //[492]. Meanwhile, long silent silences have a duration of 3251 ms when saying baseball //[3251], and 3809 ms when saying Pak Karni //[3809]. The form of filled silences in Sujiwo Tejo's speech consists of filled sounds and words.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to provide an overview of the Sengkelan Kanong implementation process. There has never been any research done on Sengkelan Kanong in the Sintang Malay Community. Therefore, there isn't any documentation regarding the Sengkelan Kanong customs. Researching and documenting Sengkelan Kanong, a seven-month practice that blends Islamic religious teachings with indigenous knowledge, is highly intriguing. The Sengkelan Kanong process is the research object, descriptive research method, and qualitative research strategy. Techniques for gathering data include observation, documentation, and interviews. Technical triangulation and interactive data analysis are used to test the data's veracity. The study's findings, which include 1) Sengkelan Kanong preparation; 2) Sengkelan Kanong tradition implementation requirements; and 3) Sengkelan Kanong tradition implementation costs, 4) Objects Used in the Sengkelan Kanong Tradition, 5) Materials Used in the Sengkelan Kanong Tradition, 6) Implementation Process Sengkelan Kanong Tradition.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the variations of errors that arise in the use of Indonesian with elements of legal language contained in the Directory of Decisions of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia in the Decisions of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.This research is a qualitative descriptive research that is documentative or library research. Data collection is carried out through documentation techniques by examining several references to the use of legal language, both in the form of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, research reports, and legal documents relevant to the problem under study. The author records all matters related to the phenomenon of using legal language obtained from the Decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia as well as relevant documents, into a prepared notebook (Korpus). The data in this study is the use of legal language in the Directory of Decisions of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia with the determination of decision number 111/Pdt.P/2022/PN Pgp. The results of the analysis show that there are still many deep language errors in legal decisions seen from phonology, morphology, semantics, and syntax.

Abstract

There are various folk tales that contain local wisdom values. Folklore has many meanings in character formation. The aim of this research is to describe the benefits of folklore as a form of character formation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research data sources were Batu Balai folklore documents, as well as interviews with informants which were then transcribed in narrative form. Interactive analysis was used to analyze the data, which was validated using triangulation and informant evaluation methods. Based on the research conducted, seven characters were found that emerged from the story. The characters found are independence, hard work, patience, commitment, mutual cooperation, honesty and politeness. The most dominant value of the seven values ​​is the value of hard work and mutual cooperation. Of course, this can be seen from the behavior or attitudes of the characters in the story. Especially the main character who tries to help his mother's economy. This needs to be implemented, because in the current era of digitalization, children are busy with their devices.

Abstract

Pisuhan (swearing) has long been considered by most Javanese people to be a rude expression that is taboo or not good to say. However, in reality, pisuhan is still used in everyday conversations, such as pisuhan in the Woko Channel short film, pisuhan is definitely functional as a messenger. mpatan is not only used to express negative emotions in the form of harsh, dirty words or cruel expressions. Swearing is also used to express positive emotions as a form of greeting, praise, or used to familiarize each other when interacting. This research aims to reveal the constructions built by village communities through pisuhan. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection method used is observation combined with recording techniques. Data analytics techniques use pragmatic social data analysis techniques. The results of this study are 1) meaning and function of pisuhan; 2) the relationship between pishuhan and Javanese characteristics; 3) pishuhan has an impact on social relations in society.

Abstract

Metode Hypnoteacing   merupakan metode pemberikan sugesti positif yang dapat diterima oleh otak melalui pikiran bawah sadar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode hypnoteaching yang dapat memotivasi dan minat mahasiswa Universitas Bina Insan melalui pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan hanya satu kelompok sebagai kelompok perlakuan (one group). Kelompok tersebut berperan sekaligus sebagai kelompok eksperimen dalam penelitian. Eksperimen penelitian dilakukan melalui sampel yang terdiri dari satu kelompok mahasiswa manajemen semester 2 dari fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Kegiatan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan memberikan hypnoteaching. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tes, baik sebelum pemberian hypnoteaching dan sesudahnya. Pelaksanaan uji melalaui SPSS dengan uji-t berpasangan. Hasil analisis data penelitian ini, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan metode hypnoteaching memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan minat belajar pada mahasiswa Universitas Bina Insan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe what lexical aspects are used in Sentilan Sentilun's discourse “DPR Library for whom?” and what is most dominantly used in the discourse. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a discourse analysis technique. The data source in this research is Sentilan Sentilun's program "DPR Library For Whom?”. The results of this study found several lexical aspects including repetition, synonymy, antonymy, hyponymy, collocation, and equivalence. The linguistic aspects that dominantly appear are lexical aspects of repetition and equivalence. Lexical aspects of repetition such as reading books, reading interest and reading mean literacy awareness conveyed in satire to DPR members. In addition, the meaning of repetition such as father and minister also dominates the meaning of respectful greetings. In the lexical aspect of equivalence, the affixation process of basic words such as read, wake up, and believe shows the meaning of the equivalence of words in speech.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan Implikatur Percakapan masyarakat Komering di Pasar Martapura Kabupaten OKU Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan, dalam percakapan masyarakat Komering di Pasar Martapura Kabupaten OKU Timur ditemukan:  1) implikatur ekspresif; 2) implikatur representatif; 3) implikatur komisif; dan 4) implikatur direktif. Implikatur ekpresif yang dilisankan termasuk jenis meminta, mengkritik, dan memuji. Implikatur representatif yang dilisankan termasuk jenis menyatakan. Implikatur komisif yang dilisankan termasuk jenis menolak. Implikatur direktif yang dilisankan termasuk jenis menyuruh. Implikatur transaksi di Pasar Martapura Kabupaten OKU Timur yang sering digunakan adalah implikatur ekspresif. Implikatur ekspresif merupakan tindak tutur yang dimaksudkan penuturnya agar tuturannya diartikan sebagai evaluasi tentang hal yang disebutkan didalam tuturan itu. Tuturan meminta, mengkritik dan memuji, termasuk kedalam jenis implikatur ekspresif. Kata kunci: Implikatur Percakapan, Masyarakat Komering, Pasar Martapura   ABSTRACT The aim of the research is to describe the conversational implications of the Komering community at Martapura Market, East OKU Regency. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, in the conversations of the Komering community at Martapura Market, East OKU Regency, it was found: 1) expressive implicatures; 2) representative implicature; 3) commissive implicature; and 4) directive implicature. The expressive implicatures used include requesting, criticizing and praising. The spoken representative implicature is a type of statement. The spoken commissive implicature is a type of refusal. The verbal directive implicature is a type of command. The frequently used transaction implicature in Martapura Market, East OKU Regency is expressive implicature. Expressive implicatures are speech acts that the speaker intends for his speech to be interpreted as an evaluation of the things mentioned in the speech. Speeches of requesting, criticizing and praising are included in the type of expressive implicature. Keyword: Conversational Implicature, Komering Community, Martapura Market

Abstract

The Ferdy Sambo case was one of the significant cases that drew the attention of the Indonesian public. Throughout the trial, the case was broadcast live on several Indonesian television channels, especially Kompas TV. The purpose of this study is to show how the defendants Putri Chandrawati violated the concept of maxims relevance during the trial in the Ferdy Sambo case. Floating maxims of relevance become the focus on this study. The author concentrates on the defendant's transgressions, but the conversation was between the judges and the defendants. The researcher used six data sets as examples to describe and examine further. The author concludes that floating maxims of relevance committed by the defendant might result in awkwardness and inadequate communication, making it impossible for the court to get clear and relevant information. This study used the note-taking approach in conjunction with a descriptive qualitative method. Since the data source is Kompas TV's official YouTube channel, the author does not require extra authorization to collect voice data.

Abstract

The use of Javanese among a group of people who work as snake-fruit farmers is a form of communication created to make it easier in understanding the form and meaning of terms in snake-fruit farming. Each region has its own set of languages that reflects the customs and traditions of its inhabitants. Having a common language facilitates communication and social interactions between members of the community. This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach to investigate the form and meaning of the language used by snake-fruit farmers in Aribaya Village, Banjarnegara Regency. The data collection methods employed in this research include case studies, observations, and interviews, with data analysis using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The findings of the study include the form and meaning of the lingual units used by snake-fruit farmers.
