Abstract

This study aims to determine and understand the perceptions of domestic tourists on the service quality of Bandung Tour on bus (Bandros), which is one of the tourism products in Bandung. Bandros is a tour bus provided by the Bandung city government and is intended for tourists who want to get around the city of Bandung. The research data uses a questionnaire filled out by tourists who have taken Bandros tours. The number of respondents as the study sample was 115 people determined using accidental sampling technique. The quality of Bandros services studied consists of 5 dimensions, namely the dimension of reliability, responsiveness dimension, assurance dimension, empathy dimension, and tangible dimension. Measurements are made using a Likert scale to make it easier to compile descriptions and interpret the variables being studied, as well as process data using descriptive statistical methods. Descriptive statistical processing in this study uses the calculated average value as a reference for determining the classification category of the assessment. From this study it is concluded that the overall perception of domestic tourists on the quality of Bandros services is in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the influence of personal interpretation (X1) consist of 4 dimensions, enjoyment, relevant, organized, and thematic and non-personal interpretation (X2) consist of 6 dimensions, sign, interpretation board, map, brochure, audio and audio visual media and interpretative exhibit on visitor satisfaction consisting of revisiting, transaction between product lines, comparison to other and visitors’s immunity to offers by competition. This study uses descriptive and verification testing and the method used is path analysis with the results of a descriptive study of the description of personal interpretations, non-personal interpretations and visitor satisfaction each having average value of 3,50, 3,51, and 3,56  which is on the continuum line in either category. The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination show that the influence of personal interpretation variables and non-personal interpretations on visitor satisfaction is 50.1%, while the remaining 49.9% is the contribution of other variables not included in the study. The results of the verification analysis are simultaneous and partial testing of the hypotheses simultaneously and partially, simultaneously based on the calculated F value of 197,154 > F table of 3.04 which means it has a significant effect, while partially using the t test for mama X1 variable has a t value of 4,93 > t table 1,962 and X2 of 11,98 > t table 1,962 can be interpreted that there is a significant influence between each independent variable on the dependent variable.

Abstract

Learning media as a tool to convey messages or information in the instructional communication process should be able to stimulate attention, interest and improve student memory. For this reason, designing and using learning media is important so that the delivery of learning messages can be achieved effectively. This study aims to find out the importance of the role of learning media in the instructional communication process in the field of tourism expertise in several vocational schools, vocational schools and universities in West Java. The research was conducted qualitatively with the aim of obtaining open and detailed data from informants who expressed their opinions about the learning media used by their teachers/lecturers. The key informants consisted of 24 students from six vocational schools and four universities in West Java, while data triangulation was carried out to 10 lecturers/teachers. The results of the analysis of the four aspects studied show: a. Students really feel the benefits and functions of learning media. b. The availability of learning media in three schools is complete and institutionalized, but in the other seven schools it still depends on the initiative of each teacher. c. Student/student responses to learning media greatly encourage the spirit of learning, it is easier to understand and remember learning materials. d. Barriers to the provision of learning media: limited educational background and experience of teachers/lecturers in the field of pedagogy, limited initiative and creativity of certain teachers/lecturers, not yet requiring teachers to provide media in every lesson, limited school facilities, such as internet networks and LCD projectors. This condition illustrates that this tourism vocational school has not fully designed its learning media properly, because there are differences in the availability of learning media between schools and between teachers, including differences in the level of attractiveness, diversity, suitability and creativity of lecturers/teachers in providing and using them. As a tourism vocational school whose graduates must be ready to work with work competencies that include knowledge, skills and professional work attitudes with a hospitality spirit formed in schools through the learning process. There are three schools that have achieved this well, while the other seven schools still need to improve the quality of learning. through appropriate learning media and based on the competencies and needs of the world of work. The results of this study are expected to be an important input for the implementation of West Java tourism vocational schools.

Abstract

Liang Ndara is a tourism village that is developed based on culture. The distance from Komodo National Park is about 20 km with a travel time of only 45 minutes. The number of tourist visits continues to increase, but the increase is much faster to Komodo National Park than to Liang Ndara Village. The purpose of this study was to find out the attractions in Liang Ndara Tourism Village and what obstacles faced by tourists visiting Komodo National Park to come to Liang Ndara Tourism Village. The research was conducted using a survey method with a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The number of respondents was 250 people, and the data was obtained qualitatively with percentages as a means of interpretation. The results showed that Liang Ndara Village has natural, cultural and historical attractions, but accessibility, amenities, and tourism activities are still limited. The main obstacle for tourists not to visit Liang Ndara village is ignorance and travel agents do not introduce or market Liang Ndara Village. Therefore, marketing and promotion need to be carried out in an integrated manner, and the government can be the spearhead to socialize Liang Ndara Village both directly to the tourist market and to travel agents.

Abstract

Tourism is an important contributor to the regional economy. This condition confirms that tourism needs to be well prepared. The presence of the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on all sectors, including tourism. This situation is characterized by a decrease in the number of tourist visits, both local and foreign. Another impact of the pandemic is the lack of management focus on managing tourist attractions. These conditions directly affect the implementation of marketing strategies in achieving management targets. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the 7p marketing mix to the tourist attraction of Dira Park Ambulu in creating sustainable creative tourism. A qualitative design is used in this study, which explores everything about managing tourist attractions. Data collection through interviews combined with the 7p marketing mix instrument. The selected informants came from management, employees, and visitors who were enjoying Dira Park Ambulu's services. The Miles Huberman method is used in data processing and analysis through the stages of transcription, reduction, coding, categorization, and drawing conclusions. The study's findings show what would happen if Dira Park Ambulu's tourist attraction did not meet the 7-point marketing mix concept. Some of the instruments used in the 7p marketing mix instrument, including products, prices, marketing distribution channels, promotions, human resources, processes, and physical evidence, have not been fully implemented. The results of this study confirm that the management of the Dira Park Ambulu tourist attraction needs to thoroughly implement the 7p marketing mix instrument.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy of object development Bale-Bale Beach tourism which is located in Nongsa District, Batam City. The research was conducted by identifying internal and external factors which were then assessed and analyzed, and development strategies were formulated by minimizing weaknesses and threats. Data analysis using SWOT analysis. The strength factors of Bale-Bale Beach attractions are: Bale-Bale Beach attractions have beautiful views, have beautiful natural panoramas, there are tourist attractions such as tourist attractions such as dances, mangroves, archery, etc. For weakness factors, namely: difficult to find tourist objects BALE BALE beaches because there are no clear instructions, lack of reliable managers and human resources who can speak foreign languages, Promotion of tourist attractions that are not good, Lack of cooperative relations between Tourism Villages and local governments. As for the opportunity factor: Cooperating with well-known Tour and Travel services located in Batam City, Absorbing labor in the area around tourism objects that can reduce unemployment and the active role of managers and the community. For threat factors, namely: There is competition between tourist objects in the Nongsa area, Environmental or beach pollution, There are no special products that can be used as souvenirs. The development strategies are: Maximizing promotion through online media and websites for Bale-Bale Beach tourism objects, Making prototypes or directions to tourist attractions, Expanding cooperation with sales bureaus, Establishing cooperation with local governments to jointly manage and develop tourism objects. In this case, using local workers in managing tourist objects, maintaining and developing attractions and facilities owned by tourist objects, maintaining and preserving the environment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the potential of gastronomy tourism in tourism development in Batam. The concept of culinary tourism at this time has developed and experienced a shift in the understanding of culinary tourism itself. At this time the tourists come to an area not only limited to them focusing on the food alone. Tourists want to get additional value or experience when they come to visit an area/region. Either they know historyand, culture or they can participate in the process of making it. called gastronomy tourism. Mie Lendir is a type of food that has undergone culturalization of Malay and Chinese culture. By bringing up the gastronomy of Mie Lendir, it is hoped that tourists can feel the different and uniqueness of the product and, they can also feel the value and understand the process of cultivating Mie Lendir culture. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative by providing an overview of the Gastronomic Tourism Potential of Mie Lendir as a Batam Tourist Attraction. The research method used is structured interviews directly with research sources. The survey method applied is a descriptive survey. The results of this study, Mie Lendir has the potential to be used as a gastronomic tour in Batam because it also has cultural, historical and educational values ??for the Malay community which has its own uniqueness.

Abstract

South Sumatra is one of the travel destinations for visitors to visit, one of the attractions of tourism found in south Sumatra is Rumah Limas Seratus Tiang. The purpose of research is to identify potential tourism in the village of Sugih Waras and to plot a strategic move in the development of the tour village Sugih Waras. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews, document study and observation. Qualitative data analysis of the potential for Tours in the village of Sugih Waras, village support in the development of Tours in the village Sugih Waras and strategic plans in the development of the tourist village Sugih Waras. Research shows the potential for tourism to be developed in the village of Sugih Waras, a natural tourist potential, the Komering River lying across the street from the Rumah Seratus Tiang, a hundred yards away, and the cultural potential of the Rumah Limas Seratus Tiang and the tomb of Prince Redjed Wiralaksana, which lies directly behind Rumah Limas Seratus Tiang. The strategic plan for the development of the Rumah Limas Seratus Tiang, among other things: in its next generation of grants aimed at building an attraction of Desa Wisata Sugih Waras panoramic view. As for other strategic attractions development plans by holding regional dance races, distich and song competitions; Accessibility development by road improvement, transportation to tourist villages; The amenity with the provision of the sound system, the costume of the dancer and the development of the attraction by making securing village Sugih Waras one of history's destines equipped with the activities of the distich and the singing of the region. This is being done to realize the potential development of a village tour potential in Desa Sugih Waras.

Abstract

One of the industries that were highly impacted by Covid 19 pandemic is tourism. This requires adaptive measures and recovery strategies in order to survive. Among tourism activities that were considered attractive during the pandemic is camping, therefore camping destination managers are required to increase their competitive advantage to win the competition. The purpose of this study is twofold; first is to obtain findings on which attributes of camping are considered most important and second is to obtain findings on which camping attributes give the most experience to the tourists. The method employs in this study is determinant-relevance analysis while the object is three camping sites in Bandung Regency that is Ranca Upas, Batu Kuda, and Ranca Cangkuang. The result of the study shows that camping atmosphere is the most important attribute of camping site choice and is the attribute that gives the most experience to the tourists. Thus, managers need to highlight on the attribute in their promotion activities to gain more visits.

Abstract

This research is about the development of traditional culinary in the Lengkong sub-district as a tourist attraction. This research is expected to be able to explore local wisdom as traditional culinary to innovate into contemporary traditional culinary, so as to increase tourist attraction in the city of Bandung. The method used in this research is using descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation studies. This study has several key informants, namely traditional food sellers in Lengkong Kecil, Head of Lengkong Tourism Activists (PWL), Head of RW 01 to Head of RW 04, Paledang Village, Lengkong District, Paledang Village Head and Lengkong Sub-District Head. The first step is conduct field observations and then to deepen the data, interviews are conducted. After obtaining sufficiently complete data, a documentation study was carried out to strengthen the data that had been collected. Based on the results of the analysis of tourist attraction through fulfilling the indicators of what to see, what to do, what to buy, what to arrive and what to stay, Lengkong Kecil traditional culinary has good potential. Meanwhile, from the SWOT analysis, alternative development strategies can be carried out through an aggressive strategy by maximizing opportunities to increase strength so that it can be concluded that alternative strategies and strategic priorities can be applied to the development of Lengkong Kecil traditional culinary.
