Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meingkatkan kemampuan kerjasama dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui implementasi model PBL. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif  melalui pola Lesson Study. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasikemampuan kerjasama mahasiswa,  dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Prosedur dalam melaksanakan Lesson Study terdiri dari tiga langkah yaitu plan, do dan see. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Lokasi penelitia ini di Universitas Hamzanwaadi pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Mata Kuliah Fisika Dasar. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan kerjasama mahasiswa meningkat sebesar 4.27% dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 7.33%.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) To find out whether there is an influence on the use of the Problem Based Learning model with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in learning Physics Science on the creativity of students. (2) To find out how the Problem Based Learning model is adjacent to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in learning Science physics to the creativity of students. This research belongs to the type of experimental research. This research is a quantitative study that uses a pure experimental method (true experimentation) and uses a pretest-posttest control group design. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Mojot tengah with samples of class VII C as an experimental class and class VII A as a control class. There are 20 multiple-choice test questions and 20 learning creativity questionnaire items used to collect data. The data analysis technique uses the initial ability similarity test, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (two samples t-test).The results showed that: (1) There is an influence on the use of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Problem Based Learning model in physics science learning on the creativity of students, this can be seen from the results of the hypothesis test (t-test), namely the tcount = 4,947 and ttable = 1,999. Because tcount > ttable, it has an effect. (2) Problem Based Learning model learning with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) proximity implemented in the experimental class has an influence on the creativity of students. Learning provides examples of activities and problems in everyday life, relates to the subject matter and uses an integrated approach between science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and finds ways to overcome problems creatively

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Comic Media on student achievement on the subject of straight motion material. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design method. The population in this study were students of class X IPA at MA Darul Iman NW Karang Baru for the academic year 2022/2023. While the sampling used in this study is a Saturated Sampling Technique. The class that was sampled in this study was class X IPA which only consisted of one class as an experimental class without a comparison class or control class because this study used one group pre-test and post-test. The instrument of this research is in the form of a student's achievement test, which consists of pretest and posttest questions. The results showed that Comic Media can affect student achievement on the subject of straight motion. This can be proven by the results of the data hypothesis test, namely where (0,05 > 0,231) which means that it is accepted and rejected.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on determining the effective dose of organ at risk for head irradiation using a Siemens 128 slice CT-Scan at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. The data used in this study are secondary data from medical records or CT-Scan archives irradiating the head, namely CTDIVOL and DLP data for male and female patients aged 26-45 years. This study aims to determine the amount of DE and Deff received by male and female patients and to determine the feasibility of using CT-Scan in the installation. The DE value for the head section is obtained by multiplying the DLP value by the conversion factor (k). The DE analysis in the head was carried out using the standard value of the Regulation of the Head of Bapeten No. Rek: LT/STI/KN 01/P2STPFRZR1/077/2016, while Deff is obtained from the CTDIVOL value multiplied by Wt. The results of the calculation of Deff received by male patients were 0.51 ± 0.01 mGy and female patients were 0.48 ± 0.01 mGy. The results of the DE calculation for male patients were 2.38 ± 0.08 mGy and female patients were 2.28 ± 0.08 mGy. The result of the head DE calculation according to BAPETEN guidelines is 2.94 mGy. Based on the results of the DE calculation on the head, the DE value is still within the normal limits issued by the BAPETEN guidelines so that the Siemens 128 Slice CT-Scan in the installation is still suitable for use for CT-Scan examination of the head.

Abstract

It has been investigated the effect of field of view (FOV) on image quality produced by a CT Scan using the noise uniformity method with a phantom head. The FOV variations used are 180, 200, 220, 240 and 260 mm. The exposure time current and tube voltage used are 220 mAs and 130 kV, while the scan length and slice thickness used were 40 mm and 3 mm. Analysis of the effect of FOV variation on noise uniformity is determined by the standard deviation value obtained when performing ROI. Based on the standard deviation value, which shows that FOV variation affects the noise uniformity value, where the large increase in FOV, the noise uniformity is getting smaller and the resulting image quality is getting better

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to increase students' motivation to learn physics by using interactive learning media based on the Quizizz game. Teachers in the 5.0 industrial revolution must be able to create fun and innovative learning by utilizing technological developments, without losing the essence and material that will be delivered by the teacher. This study uses a qualitative description method, which describes the implementation of interactive learning media using the Quizizz game to increase motivation to learn physics. The discussion focuses on the Physics quiz model in the Quizizz application and the results of the Quizizz game implementation. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the application of the Quizizz game during learning increases students' learning motivation.

Abstract

The study aimed to find out how the physics learning outcomes of class VII students of SMPN 3 Selong increase in terms of temperature and heat. The research subjects were class VII students at SMPN 3 Selong, namely Class VII B and VII C, with the data collection process using a cognitive test in the form of a written test in the form of an essay totaling 10 questions. The average value obtained in the experimental class using the group discussion method obtained an average value of 77.85, while in the control class using conventional methods obtained an average value of 55.60 with a difference in value of 22.25 points. The hypothesis calculation obtained a t_count value of 3.052 while a t_table of 1.092. From the results of the calculation of the hypothesis test for physics learning outcomes in the subject of temperature and heat for class VII students of SMPN 3 Selong, the value is ?ℎ?????>??????, then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in physics learning outcomes for class VII students in implementing it using the group discussion method.

Abstract

The abundance of cow bone waste in West Nusa Tenggara has not been in line with proper treatment. Cow bones contain a lot of apatites that can be modified into raw materials for the fabrication of hydroxyapatite. The need for hydroxyapatite as bone graft biomaterials increase in Indonesia continuously. The study aims to identify the appropriate preparation method for extracting hydroxyapatite from cow bone. Mechanical and thermal techniques are used to extract the cow bone. The method utilizes heat energy and mechanical energy to achieve hydroxyapatite. The extracted powder from cow bone was identified the ratio of Ca/P using EDX, calculated the yield of the fabricated product, measured its bulk density, and placed its functional group by FTIR. The results reveal that the best preparation method to acquire hydroxyapatite is by extracting the compact bone of bovine. The compact bone is macerated with alcohol for 12 hours and calcined at a temperature of 9500C for three hours. The apatite has a Ca/P ratio of 2.25, yielding 66.53%, and a bulk density of 1.18 g/cm3. Typical hydroxyapatite groups that emerge from apatite powder are the presence of functional groups OH, PO43-, and CO32-. This preparation method also has powders with unidentified C-H functional groups. The fact of this variety indicates the powder does not contain organic elements that can be at risk of rejection by the human body. Therefore, the apatite extracted from cow bone can be used as a safe biomaterial for the human body.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an SAVI-based physics teaching module with appropriate scientific content to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is a research and development research. The module development model used is a 4D model (four D model). The four stages are Define, Design, Development and Disseminate proposed by Thiagarajan. The development of this module is assessed based on the feasibility of the content, presentation, and language of the module and then tested on students. After being revised, the module was then tested in the science class. Collecting data in this study using test questions. The result of this research is that the SAVI-based physics teaching module to improve students' critical thinking skills has the characteristics that the SAVI-based Physics Module is developed using the SAVI learning stage, including the preparation stage, delivery stage, training stage, and result performance stage as well as, integrating critical thinking skills in each lesson. steps and contains critical thinking test questions. The SAVI-based physics teaching module is suitable for use as teaching material based on the results of the main field trial, the results obtained that 86% of students stated that this module was in very good criteria for module readability from the aspects of material, media, and language.

Abstract

Research has been conducted on the Analysis of the X-ray beam output of the Linac varian Clinac CX based on the TRS 398 IAEA. This analysis aims to determine the condition of Linac in Bali Mandara Hospital with reference to the value of 1 cGy equal to 1 MU obtained from the analysis of the ionization chamber, temperature, pressure, polarity effect and ion recombination. The research was conducted with variations of X-ray energy 6 MV and 10 MV. The size of the irradiation field used is (10 x 10) cm with a Source to Surface Distance (SSD) of 100 cm. Based on the results of absolute measurements of the output dose of the Linac Varian Clinac CX X-ray beam at the Radiation Oncology Sub-Installation of the Bali Mandara Hospital with two variations of energy used, the output dose value at 6 MV energy is 1,00138 ???/?? and at 10 MV energy 0,99456 ???/?? with a large deviation of 0,138 % and 0,544 %, respectively, with the obtained deviation meeting the TRS 398 IAEA tolerance limit of ± 3%.
