Abstract

Good learning can be seen from the classroom atmosphere and the interaction between teachers and students. The use of conventional and unvaried learning media causes students to lose enthusiasm and affects their learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of Wordwall learning media on student learning outcomes in the periodic table of elements. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling with a sample size of 60 students from SMK Babunnajah Menes Pandeglang in the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 30 students from X Farmacy A in the experimental class and 30 students from X Farmacy B in the control class. Data were collected using objective test questions to measure learning outcomes on the periodic table of elements. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes after learning using Wordwall, with the average post-test scores for the experimental class being 80.15 and for the control class being 70.15. The results of the hypothesis test using the Mann-Whitney test showed a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.003. This Sig (2-tailed) value is < ? (0.05). This means that there is a significant difference in post-test scores between the experimental class and the control class. It can be concluded that the Wordwall learning media has an effect on student learning outcomes in the periodic table of elements material.

Abstract

Reading interest is one of the important factors in the success of learning for elementary school students. However, in reality, students’ reading interest is still relatively low. This study aims to analyze the reading interest of third grade students at SD Negeri Kalibuntu by using picture storybooks as a learning medium. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with the research subjects being third grade students at SD Negeri Kalibuntu. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews covering four indicators of reading interest, namely reading enjoyment, awareness of the benefits of reading, reading frequency, and the quantity of reading sources. Data were analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the use of picture storybooks can foster students’ reading interest in all observed indicators. Students became more enthusiastic about reading, more aware of the benefits of reading, increased their reading frequency, and expanded the variety of reading sources. Thus, picture storybooks are proven to be relevant and effective in enhancing elementary school students’ reading interest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of students' self-efficacy and social support on their academic adjustment with academic resilience as a mediator. The sample in this study were 157 students of SMK Triguna Utama from a population of 262 students. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with convenience sampling. The measuring instruments used in this study were the Academic Adjustment Scale (AAL), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and Academic Resilience Scale-30 (ARS-30). Data analysis used was the result of Path Analysis analysis using the Mplus 7.0 application. The results of the analysis revealed that there was a significant influence of self- efficacy and social support on academic adjustment through academic resilience as a mediator. Self-efficacy and social support influenced academic adjustment. Self-efficacy influenced academic resilience but social support did not influence academic resilience. Academic resilience, social support, and self-efficacy all significantly influence academic adjustment, with social support having the greatest impact. The authors hope that the results of this study can be developed and expanded to include other variables that may influence academic adjustment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Discovery Learning model on students’ scientific attitudes and perseverance in solving graph problems in the Discrete Mathematics course. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving students of Mathematics Education Study Program at STKIP SyekhManshur. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and tests, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired t-tests. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ scientific attitudes, with the average score increasing from 69.21 to 83.57, and in perseverance, from 66.43 to 81.79. Test scores also increased from 62.14 to 82.57, with the t-test indicating a significant difference (tcount = 6.21 >ttable = 2.16). These findings indicate that the implementation of Discovery Learning can enhance students’ scientific attitudes, perseverance, and their ability to understand and solve graph problems independently and scientifically.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd's philosophy of Islam and its implications for Islamic education. The research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, through searching and critically analyzing various relevant literature, both in the form of books, scientific journal articles, and e-books that discuss Abu Zayd's thoughts, Qur'anic hermeneutics, and contemporary Islamic education philosophy. The results of the study show that Abu Zayd views the Qur'an as a text and discourse that is understood through the relationship between text, context, and interpreter, so that religious interpretation is dynamic and open. This perspective gave birth to the concept of Islamic education that is humanist, rational, dialogical, and emphasizes freedom of thought and critical awareness. This study concludes that Abu Zayd's thoughts are relevant for the development of contextual and responsive Islamic education to modern social challenges, although it still faces theological and institutional challenges in its implementation.

Abstract

Tawhid education in early childhood is a crucial foundation for developing children's faith, morals, and personality from an early age. This study aims to identify strategies for implementing Tawhid education in early childhood. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers, parents, and early childhood education institutions. Participants were selected purposively to ensure relevance to the research focus. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns and strategies for implementing Tawhid education. The results indicate that Tawhid education is implemented through the practice of worship, role models from parents and teachers, curriculum integration in early childhood education (PAUD), and community support. The discussion emphasizes the importance of collaboration between families, schools, and the community, as well as the need for innovation through the use of digital media. The conclusion suggests that Tawhid education can be effectively instilled from an early age, but further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of technology-based methods.
