Abstract

This article was written based on research to produce a model and assessment system of teachers' teaching ability, which can be utilized by teacher education institutions, especially teacher distance education institusion. This research needs to consider the need for: (1) the development of teaching ability that can improve students' high thinking ability, (2) assessment model which is relevant to learning achievement, (3) the implementation of various and feasible assessments for students, and (4) application of learning achievement model and system by taking into account the spread of domicile of students who attend the distance education program. The data were collected through expert evaluation of teaching ability and teaching skills assessment models and focus group discussions with the academic staff involved in the implementation of assessment in distance education. The nature of the research is descriptive qualitative, supplemented with quantitative data. An assessment model for primary teaching ability resulted by the research, for effective implementation, stipulates the provision of: (1) class for practice and performance test and laboratory for practicum; (2) mentors/instructors, examiners, and IT staff with adequate quantity and quality; as well as (3) guidelines and procedures as reference of all parties involved in the implementation of the assessment. Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan penelitian untuk menghasilkan model dan sistem asesmen kemampuan mengajar guru, yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh lembaga pendidikan guru, khususnya lembaga pendidikan guru jarak jauh. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan perlunya: (1) pengembangan kemampuan mengajar yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa, (2) model asesmen penilaian yang relevan dengan capaian pembelajaran, (3) pelaksanaan asesmen yang bervariasi dan feasible bagi mahasiswa, serta (4) penerapan model dan sistem asesmen capaian pembelajaran dengan mempertimbangkan ketersebaran domisili mahasiswa yang mengikuti pendidikan jarak jauh. Data dikumpulkan melalui evaluasi pakar terhadap rumusan kemampuan mengajar dan model asesmen kemampuan mengajar serta melalui focus group discussion dengan staf yang berkepentingan dengan pelaksanaan asesmen dalam pendidikan jarak jauh. Analisis data/informasi dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif sesuai dengan jenis data yang dikumpulkan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa model hipotetik untuk asesmen kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa-guru Program S1 PGSD menuntut penyediaan: (1) kelas untuk praktik dan ujian praktik serta laboratorium untuk praktikum; (2) pembimbing/instruktur, penguji, dan staf IT dengan jumlah dan kualitas yang memadai; serta (3) pedoman/panduan dan prosedur sebagai acuan semua pihak yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan penilaian.

Abstract

This research was conduded through a qualitative approach to find informafion conceming the ability of teachers in doing reflective leaming. Data was gathered through surveys to S1 PGSD students and PKP sypervisors involved in the implementation of the PKP program in Bandung Regional Center Unit. Observasions was also conducted at the location of PKP guidance during tutorial sessions in 2008.1 academic year. Analysis using SWOT method revealed that most teachers already do reflection learning concepts taught in accordance with the guidance of the PKP. The results also revealed that the guidance conducted by the supervisor is still less in providing opportunity for students to share experiences and to practice making scientific work. School facilities, infrastructure and time limited guidance represents a serious challenge for students in archieving the success of leaming reflection. lt is suggested that program S1 PGSD UT to develop altemative models to be used to facilitate supervision of teachers to be able to play a role as active learners, creafive and capable of social adaptation. Through this model teachers are expected to be able to share knowledge and experiences with fellow teachers and supervisors in learning reflection and rn practicing to write a report concerning the results of learning refiection.

Abstract

The study was aimed at getting information about the use of elearningby UT's students in their learning process. Specifically,the study was conducted in order to collect information aboutfactors that encouraged students to use Internet and the problemsthat students faced in using Internet in their learning process.The population of this study was UT's students who registeredcourses with flnline learning resourres. The sample was selectedby a purposive random sampling techuique with the criteria: UT'sstudents from four faculties and a fJOstwaduate school and coursesthat were registered by many students. Data collected weredescriptively analyzedThe results of the study showed that f'1ctors encouraging students touse Internet in their learning process are the flexibility of use oftime for learning, the multiuse of Internet: for learning and fordoing works; and the speed of getting information. Even though,the students faced problems in using Iniernet for their learningprocess, such as geographical condition, the bad connection ofInternet, financial problem, the leek of facility (the provision ofcomputer), the lack of given information about Internet, and thelack of skills in using Internet.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to describe: (1) the effect of remuneration, motivation, and career development on the performance of the Class IIB Dompu Correctional Institution employees; and (2) the dominant influence on the performance of the Class IIB Dompu Correctional Institution employees. This research is a quantitative research that uses associative research type, and the population of this research is all 73 employees of the Class II-B Dompu Prison and used as the research sample. The research instrument used in data collection is a questionnaire. Then the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression statistics. The results of the study are that: (1) Remuneration has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Class IIb Dompu Prison employees. With income that is in accordance with the needs of the family, it will cause employees to be more enthusiastic in working which in turn can improve work ethic; (2) Motivation has a positive and significant influence on the performance of Class IIb Dompu Prison employees. Motivation is an encouragement in employees in carrying out tasks that will give positive results to the quality and quantity of their work. The higher a person's work motivation, the higher the employee's work productivity. (3) Career development has a significant and positive effect on employee performance. This means that in improving employee performance, career development planning and management can be carried out; (4) Remuneration is the most dominant variable affecting the performance of Class IIb Dompu Lapas employees.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research which aims to describe the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in the learning process in terms of learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation. The population and sample in this study were teachers and students of Public Elementary Schools throughout Labuhanbatu Regency who have implemented the 2013 Curriculum since its inception in 2013, namely SD Negeri 28 Bilah Barat, SD Negeri 01 Bilah Barat, SD Negeri 08 Rantau Selatan, SD Negeri 11 Rantau Selatan, SD Negeri 15 Rantau Utara, and SD Negeri 06 Rantau Utara. The samples in this study were 46 for teacher respondents and 182 for student respondents at SD Negeri Labuhanbatu Regency. The instrument in this study was a semi-open questionnaire containing statement items, and the variable questionnaire was measured using a Likert scale. The results showed that the teacher's understanding of 2013 Curriculum-based learning planning was in the quite good category, with an average percentage of 74.72%. This is evidenced by the teacher's ability to compile a syllabus and lesson plans. The teacher's understanding of the implementation of curriculum-based learning in 2013 is in the good category, with an average percentage value of 76.13%. This can be seen from the teacher's ability in terms of class mastery. The teacher's understanding of the 2013 Curriculum-based learning evaluation is in the quite good category, with an average percentage of 73.5%. This can be proven by the teacher's ability to take an authentic approach. Meanwhile, the students' responses about the implementation of 2013 Curriculum-based learning carried out by the teacher showed a fairly good category, with an average percentage of 72.75%. For students' perceptions about the evaluation or assessment of learning based on the 2013 Curriculum conducted by the teacher, it is in the quite good category, with an average percentage of 73%.

Abstract

Research on the level of apprehension and self efficacy of Universitas Terbuka’s students to E-learning was aimed at investigating the level of apprehension and self efficacy to e-learning as well as to prove the reasearch hypothesis that the apprehension stages has a significant corellation to the level of self efficacy in using e-leaning. The population of the study was Universitas Terbuka’s students registered to courses that offer online tutorials. The sample was choosen by a purposive random sampling technique from students from 4 faculties and magister program taken courses offered by online tutorial and registered by the most of the students. The result of the research gave a general picture of students’ self efficacy in using the Internet make use of e-learning in their study activities was considering in average category. The average score of students’ capability of using Internet was 3.73 from 6 Likert scale. The highest score of students’ capability in using the Internet was their ability in reading text. On the other hand, capability that considered low was students’s capability in creating a simple web page using teks, pictures, and links. The students’ awareness in using e-learning for their learning activities was varied. Based on 54.76% students who were using e-learing , 2.38% were in management stage, 21.43% at consequence stage, 9.52% in collaboration stage, and 21,43% in refocusing stage. The findings suggest a positive correlation between the students’ self-efficacy level in using Internet with their awareness in using e-learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of Internet media as a learning resource by students and teachers in learning. This study uses a qualitative research approach with the type of phenomenological research. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Then analyzed using three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study indicate that students are familiar with Internet media from various sources including social media, parents and television. As for the use of Internet media facilities by students, including Google, YouTube, and learning applications as learning resources. Students in the use of Internet media have the skills to access various information that is used to support learning resources. Meanwhile, the use of Internet media by teachers is at the planning stage which includes socializing online learning procedures, preparing online Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), downloading applications that will be used in e-learning, and downloading materials. The implementation phase includes the use of Internet media to optimize applications used in e-learning, as well as the use of Google and YouTube as learning resources. The learning outcomes stage includes the use of Internet media to evaluate, guide, and send assignments online.

Abstract

Watching the rapid development of science and technology, companies that run a sales business are required to be more effective in working and marketing their products. PT Internusa Technology or also known as INUS, is a company engaged in the sale of analog and digital CCTV. PT Internusa Technology has problems in data collection transactions. In addition, there are other problems, there are still very few promotional media to introduce various kinds of products that are to be sold and also prospective buyers sometimes have difficulty in knowing the prices and types of products to be sold by PT Internusa Technology. The purpose of research and making this journal is to make the sales system at PT Internusa Technology computerized, make it easier for PT Internusa Technology to market its products, and also make it easier for prospective buyers to find out the types and prices of products to be sold by PT Internusa Technology. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). The result is making of applications design that support all the problems discussed previously. This application can make it easier for users to make CCTV sales transactions, the company can market their own products to be sold online with a larger target market, and making it easier for buyers and sellers to transact or just look for information about the store.

Abstract

Banyak fitur yang bisa digunakan dalam slide presentasi, animasi yang tepat, visual yang menarik untuk dimanfaatkan dan disesuaikan dengan tema yang diperlukan oleh guru dalam menggunakan Microsoft Power Point. Namun, guru SDN Jatimekar I Bekasi belum mengoptimalkan fungsi-fungsi setiap ribbon pada Ms.Power Point. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan pendampingan berupa pelatihan yang dilengkapi dengan modul Ms. Power Point dengan tujuan guru dapat lebih meningkatkan keterampilan untuk mendesain, wawasan, dan dapat menerapkan baik dalam mengajar maupun komunikasi yang dipaparkan dalam presentasi dengan beberapa tahap, yaitu pra kegiatan, persiapan, dan pelaksanaan. Hasilnya adalah guru dapat memanfaatkan Ms. Power Point sebagai sarana pembelajaran digital yang imajinatif dan menarik bagi siswa sehingga dirasakan manfaatnya dalam menimbulkan semangat tinggi siswa mengikuti proses pembelajaran maupun kegiatan sosial didalam masyarakat yang memerlukan sebuah pemaparan dalam bentuk presentasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kompetensi pedegogik guru dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan keinovatifan guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri se-Kecamatan Cibinong Kabupeten Bogor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional dan regresi sederhana. Terdiri dari dua variable bebas yaitu kompetensi pedagogik guru dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah serta satu pvariabel terikat yaitu Keinovativan guru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Cibinong Kabupaten Bogor dengan jumlah Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah guru PNS Di SD N se-Kecamatan Cibinong Kabupaten Bogor yang berjumlah 177 orang. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) terdapat hubungan yang siginifikan antara kompetensi pedagogik guru dengan keinovatifan guru yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi rx1 = 0,656. 2) terdapat hubungan yang positif yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan keinovatifan guru yang ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi rx2 = 0,527 3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara Kompetensi pedagogik guru dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah secara Bersama-sama dengan keinovatifan guru yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi rx12 = 0,677. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keinovatifan guru dapat ditingkatkan melalui kompetensi pedagogik guru dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah
