Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher’s strategies in stimulating the creativity of children aged 5-6 years through recycling activities at PA UD Al-Hikmah, Tanara District. Creativity in early childhood is an essential aspect that should be developed from an early age, encompassing the ability to take initiative, process materials, and produce original works. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects consisted of teachers and Group B children. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that teachers implemented learning strategies based on play, experimentation, and projects. Through these activities, children were encouraged to explore various recyclable materials such as cardboard, plastic bottles, and used paper. These strategies effectively enhanced children’s creativity indicators, namely the emergence of initiative, skills in processing materials into functional products, and the ability to create unique and aesthetic works. Supporting factors included the availability of recyclable materials, active teacher involvement, and the supportive school environment. This study recommends the continuous use of recycling activities as an effective medium to stimulate creativity in early childhood

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric training on vertical jump ability in volleyball extracurricular participants of SMAN 4 Pandeglang. The plyometric training method is suspected to have an influence on improving vertical jump skills in volleyball extracurricular participants of SMAN 4 Pandeglang. This study is a pure experimental research, with the designs used in this study being True pretest experiments and Post-test Design. The sample in this study is students participating in the men's volleyball extracurricular, with a total of 20 people. Data collection was carried out using tests, with Vertical Jump instruments. This data analysis technique uses t-test analysis through normality and homogeneity prerequisite tests. The results of hypothesis testing using the t- test obtained a calculated T of 13.652 and a table T value of 1.734, and Sig=0.000. Then the calculated T value is greater than the T table (13.652>1.734) or Sig is smaller than 0.05 (Sig<0.05). So there is a significant difference between the data before and after the treatment. The increase was evident because there was an average increase of 4.25 from 56.70 to 60.95. If expressed as a percentage, the increase is 7.49%. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in plyometric training on vertical jump skills in volleyball extracurricular participants of SMAN 4 Pandeglang.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, particularly in the field of education. Government policies to limit face-to-face activities directly impacted the teaching and learning process in schools. This study aims to describe the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on education, both positive and negative. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various sources related to educational policies during the pandemic. The findings show that the pandemic created several challenges, including the decline in the quality of learning interactions, limited access to technology, and the digital divide among students. Furthermore, students’ psychological conditions were also affected due to limited social interactions. On the other hand, the pandemic accelerated digital transformation in education, improved teachers’ skills in using technology, and encouraged various online learning innovations. Thus, the Covid-19 pandemic not only posed obstacles but also provided opportunities to strengthen a more adaptive and flexible education system in the future

Abstract

Learning media that suits students' conditions and needs can increase exam concentration and learning motivation, so teachers need to know the media criteria that must be used so that students can like and accept them. Quizizz is one of the learning media in the form of quizzes. Quizizz can be chosen by teachers as a learning medium because it is game and technology based. The aim of this research is to describe the effect of using Quizizz media on exam concentration and learning motivation on persuasive text material. This research uses a quantitative approach, because the data presented is in the form of numbers and analyzed using statistical formulas. This research uses experimental research methods, with a true experimental design. The number of samples in this study was 30 students, divided into experimental and control classes. The instruments used were questionnaires and test sheets. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and tests. Based on the results of research data analysis, the influence of the Quizizz application on exam concentration and learning motivation was 56%, while the remaining 44% was influenced by other variables or factors that were not rigorous, indicating that there was a significant difference in exam concentration and learning motivation between experimental class students and control, so it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of using Quizizz interactive media on exam concentration and learning motivation on persuasive text material.

Abstract

Chandra Dewa, 2024. Development of an Android-Based Educational Game for Learning Numbers and Mathematics at Darunnajwa Early Childhood Education (PAUDQU) in Cilegon City. Smart Apps Creator 3 is a learning medium frequently used by teachers and students in the learning process. Using less engaging learning media can easily make students bored and less able to understand the material presented, especially in learning numbers and mathematics. The researcher's goal was to develop a valid, practical, and effective Smart Apps Creator 3 medium for use in learning numbers and mathematics at Darunnajwa Early Childhood Education (PAUDQU) in Cilegon City. The type of research used was research and development (R&D). R&D is the activity of developing or creating a product for use in the learning process. The ADDIE model used in this study consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The Smart Apps Creator 3 learning media was validated by experts in terms of content, design, and language, meeting the criteria for validity and practicality. Effectiveness was assessed using questionnaires and student tests. The results showed that the Smart Apps Creator 3 learning media for learning mathematics met the criteria for very valid with a score of 90%, based on design, content, and language validation. The results for practicality were 95%, categorized as very practical. Meanwhile, 94% was categorized as very effective. Therefore, Smart Apps Creator 3 met the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of knowledge management to enhance teacher engagement toward the organization at MTs Darussa’adah Pandeglang. Knowledge management is regarded as a crucial strategy for developing a sustainable learning culture within Islamic schools. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review and field observation. The findings reveal that the key dimensions of knowledge management—creation, storage, sharing, and application of knowledge—significantly contribute to improving teachers’ involvement in organizational activities and instructional innovation. Moreover, leadership support and collaboration among teachers within professional learning communities strengthen motivation and a sense of belonging to the institution. The study recommends implementing a digital collaboration platform to facilitate knowledge sharing and foster a learning organization culture in the madrasa context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of homonyms in memes as a digital cultural phenomenon. The research method used is a qualitative method with a semantic approach, namely by exploring homonymous forms that are used to create meaning, humor, and social criticism in meme discourse. The research data was obtained through the collection of Indonesian memes from idntimes.com pages that contain elements of a homonym language game. The analysis was carried out by identifying homonymous words that give rise to ambiguity of meaning and examining the visual and linguistic context that reinforces the effects of humor and social innuendo. The results of the study show that homonyms in memes not only serve as a language game, but also as a rhetorical strategy to convey social criticism in a subtle and witty way. In addition, homonyms have proven to be effective in capturing the audience's attention because they bring out multiple layers of meaning and invite creative interpretations from readers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Culture-Based Experiential Learning in improving writing skills and critical literacy among students of the English Language Education Study Program at Universitas Serang Raya. The background of this research stems from the low level of students’ academic writing abilities, which often fail to reflect critical awareness of social and cultural contexts. The Experiential Learning approach was chosen because it emphasizes direct experience, reflection, conceptualization, and active application components that align with the needs of culturally contextualized writing instruction. This research employs a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, involving 15 students enrolled in the Basic Writing course for one semester. Quantitative data were obtained through pre- and post-tests to measure improvements in writing skills, while qualitative data were collected through observations, interviews, and students’ reflective journals. The results indicate an average improvement of 26% in writing skills, with the highest increases observed in critical reflection (34%) and cultural theory integration (29%). Qualitative analysis reveals that direct experiences in observing and writing about cultural phenomena strengthened students’ reflective, argumentative, and contextual thinking abilities. The study concludes that integrating cultural studies within the Experiential Learning cycle fosters a more meaningful, contextual, and critical writing process. These findings offer significant implications for the development of writing pedagogy in higher education, particularly within English language learning contexts that emphasize critical literacy and cultural awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the professionalism of Indonesian language teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in class XI at SMAN 1 Bojonegara and compare it with the standards of teacher professionalism in Singapore. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach through observation and interviews with Indonesian language teachers. The results showed that teachers had demonstrated professionalism through lesson planning based on the curriculum, adjusting materials to student needs, using relevant learning strategies, managing classrooms effectively, and implementing routine reflection and evaluation. However, when compared to Singaporean standards, teacher professionalism still differs, especially in the aspects of learning differentiation, continuous professional development, and structured institutional support. These findings indicate that teachers are on the right track but still require continuous support to optimize their professional practices.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of Differential Equations (PD) teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). The main component of teaching materials is a medium to bridge the curriculum with students' learning experiences. The current PD lecture conditions are still dominated by 56% of lecture methods. This results in students having difficulty in understanding applicable concepts and mastering mathematical modeling skills. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach tested on 25 third-semester PD course students. The effectiveness of teaching materials was tested using N-gain analysis and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average value from the pre-test (17.24) to the post-test (75.36). The average N-gain of 0.81 is categorized as high. The results of the Wilcoxon Test showed an Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.00 <0.05. This means that there is a significant difference between the values ??before and after the use of PBL teaching materials. This is evident from the fact that 92% of students agreed that PBL learning materials can improve their thinking skills in solving PD problems.
