Abstract

The electric welding system requires a welding transformer that is usually classified as direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC). In electric welding, a separate transformer is provided as a source for regulating the required current during the welding process. The operation of the transformer during welding is closely related to the needs of the current, the diameter of the welding wire, and the thickness of the material being welded. The difference between a conventional coil winding transformer and a manufacturer's coil winding transformer lies in the welding results and the specimens obtained from testing a type of material, which is steel plate ST37 with a thickness of 8mm and a width of 40mm, using electrodes E-6013 with diameters of 2.6mm and 3.2mm. The welding joint method used is a single V groove butt joint. The welding tests of both transformers prove that the penetration, width, and height of the weld bead with the Manufacturer's coil winding transformer are quite good compared to the Conventional coil winding transformer. Based on the welding test results of both transformers, the Manufacturer's coil winding transformer using electrode type E-6013 achieved the highest bending test strength with a Crack load value of 33.701 kN, while the Conventional coil winding transformer had a value of 27.335 kN, both using the same current of 120 Amperes.".

Abstract

Efficient and accurate school attendance is paramount for the seamless operation of educational institutions. This research focuses on enhancing attendance systems by implementing an Internet of Things (IoT)-based solution with Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology at SMK Putra Anda Binjai. The study employs an experimental design, dividing students and teachers into control and experimental groups. The control group retains the conventional attendance system, while the experimental group adopts the IoT-based RFID technology. The research encompasses careful sample selection, integrating hardware and software tools, and automated data collection procedures. Findings highlight the system's benefits, such as improved efficiency, real-time monitoring, and enhanced accuracy. Challenges, including initial implementation hurdles and technical glitches, are also identified. A comparison with conventional systems underscores the superiority of the IoT-based RFID technology, showcasing higher accuracy and time efficiency. The positive impact on the academic atmosphere aligns with literature emphasizing technology's role in advancing learning environments. This research signifies a transformative initiative in school attendance, offering insights into the potential of technologically advanced educational settings. Continuous refinement is essential for maximizing benefits and addressing real-world educational challenges.

Abstract

The Village Office is the center of government and public services in the village as well as a place where residents interact with the village head and his apparatus. At the Bandar Setia Village Office, the process of processing employee data is currently still using a semi-computerized system (using the Microsoft Excel 2007 application), so to view the data of an employee must be viewed vertically. This makes it difficult to see the whole information about an employee. The process carried out seems very slow and ineffective and efficient. In solving this problem, the author designed a Web-Based Employee Data Processing Information System which aims to simplify the process of processing employee data and accelerate the presentation of the required information and reduce errors in employee data processing, in this study the employees tested were around three employees and the results were no errors. In this design, the author uses PHP Programming Language, and MySql database and Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 Application.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of village information systems in improving public services in Pertumbukan Village, Wampu District. The village information system is an important tool that can optimize various aspects of administration and services to village communities. In this research, various benefits were identified from implementing a village information system, including efficiency in data management, transparency in administration, and increased access to information for the community. Through observation and interview methods, this research found that the implementation of the village information system in Pertumbukan Village has had a significant positive impact on the quality of public services. It is hoped that the results of this research can be a reference for other villages in adopting information technology to improve services to the community.

Abstract

Effective user interface design in digital information systems can play an important role in improving the performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pertumbukan Village, Wampu District. This research aims to design a digital information system that is easy to use and intuitive for MSMEs in the village. By using a user-centered design approach, this information system is expected to help MSMEs manage their business more efficiently, including inventory management, sales and communication with customers. The research methods used include literature studies, user needs surveys, as well as prototyping and interface testing. The research results show that simple, clear and responsive interface design can increase user satisfaction and efficiency, as well as encourage the adoption of digital technology among village MSMEs. The implementation of this information system is expected to have a positive impact on local economic growth by empowering small businesses to be more competitive in the wider market.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and implement a village activity management information system with User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design that focuses on transparency in Pertumbukan Village, Wampu District. This information system is designed to manage various village activities, including development planning, program implementation, and financial reporting, by providing easy and transparent access for the community. The UI&UX design used ensures that this system is intuitive and accessible to all levels of village society, including those who are less familiar with technology. The development of this system uses research and development (R&D) methods which involve the stages of needs analysis, design, development and system testing. The results of system testing show that this information system has succeeded in increasing the efficiency of managing village activities and strengthening the transparency and accountability of the village government to its citizens. Community participation in village activities has also increased, because the information conveyed through this system is easier to access and understand. The implementation of this information system in Pertumbukan Village has had a positive impact in the form of increasing community trust in the village government and speeding up the data-based decision making process.

Abstract

This Research aims to evaluate the implementation of yhe village governance information system and its impact on improving community services in Growth Village, Wampu District. The main focus of this research is user interface design which is expereted to facilitatee acces and use of the system by the community and village officials. The research methodology used include field studies, distributed to village residents and village officials.

Abstract

Applying encryption to databases is a crucial step in maintaining data security, especially in applications that handle sensitive information such as the employee recruitment process. This research aims to implement the Rail Fence Least algorithm in database encryption in a web-based new employee recruitment application at PT. Mukti Mandiri Lestari. The Rail Fence Least algorithm was chosen because it has advantages in terms of speed and efficiency of data encryption and decryption. The implementation of this algorithm is expected to increase the security of prospective employee data from potential unauthorized access and misuse of information. Test results show that this algorithm is effective in securing data without significantly compromising application performance. Thus, implementing the Rail Fence Least algorithm is the right solution to improve database security in new employee recruitment applications at PT. Mukti Mandiri Lestari.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement a web-based inventory management system for the Wijaya Toys Store using the CodeIgniter framework. Wijaya Toys Store is a trading business that sells various kinds of toys and children's equipment. The system developed aims to increase efficiency in stock management, make it easier to record sales transactions, and provide accurate and real-time reports to management. The choice of the CodeIgniter framework as the basis for developing this system was based on its ability to provide a structured and easy to understand MVC (Model-View-Controller) structure. The research methods used include user needs analysis, web-based system design, implementation using the latest technologies, and testing to ensure system performance and reliability. The result of this research is a web application that not only simplifies the process of managing stock, but also increases the accuracy of inventory data at the Wijaya Toys Store. This system is expected to reduce recording errors, minimize stock losses, and enable management to make more appropriate decisions based on the data collected.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an efficient and integrated web-based mail archive management system at PT. Labani Media Nusantara. The result of this research is the development of a web-based letter archive management system consisting of modules for receiving letters, indexing, storing and searching letter archives. This system allows users to upload and search letters electronically, as well as manage metadata and mail history easily. Research data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation studies related to the process of managing letter archives at PT. Labani Media Nusantara. Apart from that, this system also provides security features and access rights that can be configured according to user roles. This research contributes to the development of an efficient and integrated mail archive management system in the government administration environment. It is hoped that this system can provide benefits in improving the performance of mail archive management at PT. Labani Media Nusantara and become a reference for developing similar systems in other companies. This research can result in increasing the efficiency of mail archive management, reducing errors in mail searches, and increasing information accessibility for users.
