KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah was first published in April 2013 in printed and online form published since 30 April 2018 by Department of Non Formal Education, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang. KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah equipped with ISSN (p): 2354-693X and ISSN (e): 2655-3163, published twice a year in April and October. KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah education contains articles from research and/ or analytical-critical in the field non-formal education specifically edult education study, community education, training and development of human resources, counseling, and community development. The spesification purpose are intended to explore, develop and explain the knowladge of history, philosophy, principles, policies, designs, and technologies that are used and developed in non-formal education services. KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah have a role and participates in efforts to support the preservation of scientific traditions derived from the theoretical study of researchers and the practical experience of education practitioners.

Abstract

The background of analyzing the dynamics of foundation organizations in advancing community education lies in the increasing need for effective mechanisms to address societal educational challenges. By scrutinizing the operational dynamics of such organizations, insights can be gained into their pivotal role in shaping community educational landscapes. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for devising strategies that optimize their contributions to enhancing societal learning outcomes. This study analyzes the dynamics of foundation organizations in efforts to enhance community education. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, researchers identify the main challenges faced by foundations in this context. The research method involves analysis of relevant literature sources. The findings indicate that factors such as resource management, leadership, and community involvement influence the effectiveness of foundations in advancing community education. These findings offer valuable insights for practitioners and policymakers to improve the performance of foundation organizations in supporting community education. To enhance their impact, recommendations include improvements in management strategies, increased community participation, and enhanced collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of skilled human resources in the ongoing implementation of the SKB. UPT SKB Pariaman requires skilled and supportive human resources to be able to implement existing programs. This research aims (1) To see a picture of the Tutor's questioning skills in reviewing previous learning (2) To see a picture of the Tutor's skills in providing verbal and non-verbal reinforcement (3) To see a picture of the Tutor's explaining skills in providing new material (4) To see overview of the Tutor's skills in opening and closing the lesson (5) To see an overview of the Tutor's skills in guiding small group discussions. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive type. In this study, a population of 38 people was used and the research sample was 38 residents studying at the learning activity studio in Pariaman City using the Total Sampling sampling technique. The analysis in this research is descriptive. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to find out the description and relationship between skills in applying variations in tutor teaching and the learning motivation of residents studying Package C at SPNF SKB Kota Pariaman. This research uses quantitative correlational. The population of this research is all students registered in the package C pursuit program at SPNF SKB Kota Pariaman for the 2023/2024 academic year, namely 72 people. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling, so that the total sample that the researchers took was 50 residents studying package C at SPNF Kota Pariaman. Data collection techniques using questionnaire format and list of statements as data collection tools, data analysis techniques using percentages to find correlations using the product moment formula. The results of this research are: 1.) Skills in applying variations in tutor teaching to students studying at SPNF SKB Kota Pariaman are classified as less than optimal, 2.) Motivation of students studying Package C at SPNF SKB Kota Pariaman is classified as less than optimal and 3.) There is a significant relationship between skills in applying variations in tutor teaching with learning motivation for residents studying Package C at SPNF SKB Kota Pariaman.Keywords: Variasi Mengajar, Motivasi Belajar, SKB.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze parental social support for children who reside at Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng in Jombang, focusing on parental support motives, forms of social support, and efforts to enhance this support. The research methodology employed a qualitative interpretative phenomenology approach with data collection techniques including interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The study’s findings reveal two main factors in parental support motives: the development of Islamic education and the significance of historical figures. The development of Islamic education encompasses comprehensive religious education, character development, and the facilitation of talent development. The role of historical figures involves reverence for figures such as KH. Hasyim Asy’ari and Abdurrahman Wahid, as well as the connection to Nahdlatul Ulama and the Ahlussunah Wal-Jamaah tradition. Parental social support includes four main aspects: academic support, motivational support, emotional-psychological support, and instrumental support. This encompasses monitoring academic progress, providing motivation, fostering emotional bonds, and offering financial assistance. Efforts to enhance parental support involve intensive communication, collaboration with teachers, creating a supportive learning environment, providing positive reinforcement, and offering specialized support during puberty transitions. Parents play a crucial role in supporting the adaptation and academic achievement of their children in the pesantren.

Abstract

Urban life demands struggle and competition for each individual to survive. Job opportunities are sometimes not proportional to the population, so people are required to be able to create jobs independently. This condition has triggered the emergence of home workers (honme workers). Sanan Village is one of the central villages for the tempeh chips industry in Malang City which has succeeded in raising its community to become more empowered. The aim of this research is to explain the business dynamics and strategies used by home workers to maintain their business to build family resilience and explain the basic valuesthat serve as their working principles. This research is qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations and document studies and analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. Research informants were selected purposively with certain criteria according to the research focus.The results of this research show that home workers are able to maintain their businesses. Business dynamics starting from starting a business, maintaining a business, and developing a business can be handled using various strategies. The results of the business can be used to support or fulfill the needs of the family and to send their children to college. The efforts made by home workers are socially capable of creating jobs. The valuesand principles held by home workers are to work honestly, work hard and always be grateful.Keywords: : home workers, family resilience, Sanan village.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the poor performance of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University, which was allegedly due to the low work motivation of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University. This study aims to describe the work motivation of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University and the performance of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University and to determine the relationship between work motivation and the performance of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The population of this study was members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University in the 2022 management year, totaling 32 people and 70% of the sample was taken, namely 22 people, using a stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and data analysis techniques using percentage formulas and product moment formulas. The results showed that the work motivation of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University was low, the performance of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University was classified as poor, and there was a significant relationship between work motivation and the performance of members of the Ganto Campus Newspaper, Padang State University.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe Contribution of learning discipline and student ethics to the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 7 Pakumbuh . This type of research is quantitative research using the correlation method. The population in this study was 108 people with a sample of 20 students . The sampling technique is carried out by determining the class that will be sampled ( Cluster Sample ). Discipline and ethics data were obtained from questionnaires that had been filled in by students and learning outcome data were obtained from the homeroom teacher. The results of data analysis show that: (1) learning disciplines contribute 63% to the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 7 Payakumbuh. (2) Student ethics contributes 75.1% to the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 7 Payakumbuh. (3) Student learning discipline and ethics contribute 77% to the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 7 Payakumbuh. The conclusion is that learning discipline and student ethics contribute to Indonesian language learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk membahas mengenai pelaksanaan program pendidikan dan latihan (diklat) berbasis strategi pembelajaran. Strategi pembelajaran merupakan langkah dan cara yang digunakan oleh seorang pengajar kepada peserta yang diajarkan. Untuk mendapatkan hasil pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tujuan maka mesti menggunakan strategi yang tepat. Diklat merupakan suatu usaha yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan seseorang dengan mengikuti program pendidikan dan latihan yang dilaksanakan oleh suatu lembaga instansi atau organisasi. Adapun dalam penulisan ini akan membahas mengenai diklat berbasis strategi pembelajaran, karakteristik, skema/gambar penyelenggaran, system monitoring dan evaluasi, kelebihan dan kelemahan, serta peluang dan tantangan dalam penyelenggaran diklat berbasis strategi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the TACK (Technological, Andragogical, Content Knowledge) learning model combined with Logic Model analysis in enhancing students' self-directed learning in the Department of Non-formal Education (PNF) at Padang State University. This research employs a quantitative experimental research approach, measuring the difference between pre-test and post-test scores to assess the impact of the TACK learning model on student self-directed learning. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations of the teaching implementation, and documentation. Logic Model analysis is utilized to map the components of the TACK model and evaluate the expected outcomes. The research findings indicate a significant improvement in student self-directed learning, as evidenced by the increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test scores. Statistical analysis supports the hypothesis that the TACK model effectively enhances students' self-directed learning in the Department of Non-formal Education (PNF). This research highlights the potential of the TACK learning model combined with Logic Model analysis as a valuable strategy for enhancing the quality of learning within university environments. Its application offers a promising approach to improving self-directed learning, which is crucial for enhancing learning outcomes. The findings of this research have implications for curriculum design and faculty training in educational institutions. Furthermore, this research contributes to the existing knowledge base on effective teaching methods for students, providing valuable insights for future learning practices.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out that empowerment in a society is very important to advance people's welfare. Most people in Indonesia have their own creativity which is very productive, they just don't realize it. Empowerment is one of the first steps in community activities to improve welfare towards the survival of the community. Women's empowerment is carried out in order to grow the strengths of women so that they are able to develop and prosper, one of which is through the Tanah Liek batik group in Jorong, Sikai Bay, Duo Dharmasraya River. It is very visible that the existence of this batik group can improve the community's economy and create jobs. for people who work as housewives only. This research aims (1) To determine the implementation of learning between fellow craftsmen. (2) To determine the community's environmental support for the Tanah Liek Batik Group. (3) To find out the impact obtained by the Tanah Liek Batik Group craftsmen.This research uses a qualitative approach with the nature of a case study which aims to provide an overview of the findings. The location of this research is Jorong Teluk Sikai, Nagari Sungai Duo, Sitiung District, Dharmasraya Regency. The sources for this research are managers, women who work in the Tanah Liek batik group who can be interviewed, village heads and the surrounding community. The data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data obtained from this research is based on source triangulation, method triangulation, and theory triangulation.The results of the research show that: (1) There is an implementation of learning between fellow craftsmen in the form of cooperation and giving each other advice, (2) There is support from the surrounding environment for the Tanah Liek batik group physically and non-physically, namely women's empowerment in Sikai Bay, (3) Impact What the craftsmen in the Tanah Liek Batik Group get is able to provide employment opportunities for mothers who only work as housewives, and can help improve the family economy of the craftsmen in the Tanah Liek Batik group.Kata kunci: Women's Empowerment, Tanah Liek Batik
