Abstract

This study intends to describe the function of the course institutions in empowering communities via roadster bicycle rental services. This study employs a qualitative research method based on case studies. This study utilized in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies to collect data. Techniques for data analysis consist of the steps of data management, data description, data classifications, data interpretation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Triangulation of the source method and triangulation of approaches are utilized in the process of validating the findings. The results of the study indicate that the course institutions play a crucial role in enhancing the local economy. Student mobility during taking the course in "Kampung Inggris" was high enough that the local community can be used to create economic opportunities. Economic opportunities are created by providing students with teaching courses with roadster bicycle rental services. The potential to boost the economy was utilized by a population for the first time in 1998. Since then, hundreds of roadster bicycle rental services have been formed, and some of them have even become family businesses in Tulungrejo village. Improving the economics of the Tulungrejo village community is inextricable from the role of the Mahesa Institute, which promotes the use of bicycles for student mobility during the "English Village" course.

Abstract

Living as a sandwich generation can enable one to feel overwhelmed by the double roles they're playing. The burden of foster care in the sandwich generation family is the feelings experienced by caregivers referring to emotional, physical, social, and financial conditions and affecting personal, family, and social lives. This method of research uses qualitative research with a model of phenomenological approach and uses data collection techniques such as observation, interview and documentation techniques. First, the physical health burden arises from the exhaustion of childcare and work. Second, the mental health burdens arise from financial problems and poor social stereotypes about women who work remotely. Third, the financial burden emerges from the abundance of needs to be met so that the sandwich generation has no savings. Fourthly, the burden of social life is because the busy working sandwich generation is less able to communicate with their families. Family resilience. First, the physical economic endurance of the family's sandwich generation meets primary needs by working. This work is done by a couple of sandwich generations to meet the needs of the family. Second, social resilience where the family of the sandwich generation always implants religious values as well as building effective communication with family members. Third, the psychological resilience of the way the family deals with problems in a quiet and calming way.

Abstract

Children with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders can experience language and speech delays if not treated early. Based on initial observations in the field, it was found that a child with hyperactivity and attention deficit disorder or ADHD aged 3 years and 4 months was late in language development. At that age, children should be able to express desires, ask questions, answer simple questions, respond when called, and be interested in playing with their peers. From an early age, children need to receive intervention as soon as possible from their immediate environment, namely the family, so that children's obstacles can be minimized properly. For this reason, this research aims to develop a program that can improve the language skills of children with ADHD. This program is called Shoebox, which was developed based on the results of an assessment of children's language skills. The program will be implemented by the child's parents through a process of mentoring researchers first until the parents implement it independently. This research uses mixed research methods, namely qualitative research methods as the basis for program development, and quantitative research methods with SSR design to test the program's effectiveness. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation, and oral language behavior tests. The results of this research are a shoebox program which, based on effectiveness tests, shows that this program can improve speech-language skills in ADHD children

Abstract

The problem with SLB-B Sumber Dharma Malang is the low knowledge of grade 4 and 5 students regarding Indonesian cultural literacy. This is because the learning media applied by teachers is only through YouTube, so the delivery of Indonesian cultural literacy material is less than optimal. The program aims to strengthen Indonesian cultural literacy for deaf students at SLB-B Sumber Dharma Malang with learning media based on Virtual Box Reality and the Lidantara application. The program implementation method consists of preparation, implementation, closing, evaluation and drawing conclusions. Based on the pre-test, post-test and sharing session, the results showed that the implementation of the Lidantara’s program had an impact on increasing the percentage of students' knowledge and understanding regarding Indonesian cultural literacy from 47% to 97%, and students were able to retell the cultural content they had seen in a coherent manner, clear and comprehensive. Thus, the results of the Lidantara’s program have been proven to be able to overcome partner problems. The sustainability of the program is by forming a team of teachers and students and guaranteeing by including the Lidantara’s program in the school's additional curriculum. Keywords: Indonesian cultural literacy, Virtual Box Reality, Devotion
